After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 850: Chapter 854: Familiar Fragments of Memory

”I can do it myself.”

Luo Xiaoqian reached out her left hand, wanting to take the ointment from his hand, but Leng Zimo’s hand reached over, holding her wrist while he carefully applied the ointment with a cotton swab to the rash caused by her allergy.

The ointment was cool on her skin, but his palm was just as warm as she remembered, gently holding her wrist, steady but with extreme care, as if afraid of hurting her.

Feeling the cotton swab lightly glide over her skin, she felt goosebumps all over, her heart instinctively speeding up.

Not daring to look at him, she grabbed the porridge bowl and began eating to distract herself.

Having finished with her left hand, Leng Zimo got up and moved to sit on her right side.

”Right hand.”

She obediently put down the spoon and extended her right hand.

After applying the ointment, Leng Zimo threw away the cotton swab, ”Don’t take a bath tonight, apply it again tomorrow morning after you shower.”

”Thank you.” Luo Xiaoqian pushed his porridge bowl towards him, ”You should eat too.”

Noticing the red marks on her neck, he raised an eyebrow and reached out to move her hair aside, revealing a large patch of red rash by her ear.

”You...” Luo Xiaoqian felt his touch and froze.

”Don’t move.” He held her neck and carefully moved the cotton swab.

He was very close to her, one hand still by her ear, focusing on applying the ointment, the gentle touch of his breath brushing past her hair.

Her face instantly flushed, the redness from the allergy deepening, almost as if blood could drip from her cheeks.

As Leng Zimo continued applying the ointment, an elusive image flashed through his mind.

That image was similar to the current scene, he was also applying ointment to someone, but he was standing behind that person and couldn’t see their face clearly.

The image vanished in an instant, and when he tried to recall it more clearly, it had already disappeared from his mind.

At this moment, Leng Zimo had no idea it was a fragment of his memory.

Five years ago, in his office at EM, on the day Luo Xiaoqian agreed to be his lover, he had also bought her porridge and applied ointment for her.

His head started to ache again.

He withdrew his hands and raised his hand to massage his aching temples.

”Zimo, what’s wrong with you?” Luo Xiaoqian put down her spoon and looked at him worriedly, ”Is your head hurting again?”

Leng Zimo looked up, meeting her eyes full of concern. It seemed to bring a strange calm to the agitation in his mind, and the pain seemed to lessen slightly.

Seeing him silent, Luo Xiaoqian became more worried, ”Is your head okay? Didn’t you promise to go to the hospital for a check-up? You haven’t gone, have you?!”

”If you accompany me, I’ll go.”

Luo Xiaoqian frowned, ”Leng Zimo, that’s so childish.”

”Drop the surname,” he said.

”You... fine, I’ll go with you, I’ll find time as soon as possible,” Luo Xiaoqian thought for a moment, ”But you must promise not to tell anyone.”

”You mean, you agree to date me, right?” he asked.

Luo Xiaoqian felt helpless, in front of this man, she always had to give in!

”Fine, I agree, but you must promise me to keep it a secret from everyone, including... your assistant, your friends... everyone. If you can do that, I’ll agree.”

She was very worried about his health. She couldn’t let him continue like this, she had to take him to get checked, to make sure his health was fine before she could be at ease.
