After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 843: Chapter 847: Truly a Strange Woman

Quickly locking the door, Luo Xiaoqian drove her white Land Rover out of the garage and out of the neighborhood. Soon, the car was on the suburban highway.

As she drove into the city, she hit a traffic jam.

She kept checking her watch, unable to hide the urgent look on her face.

The meeting was scheduled for nine o’clock. It was already eight-thirty. This was her first meeting as the boss; what would the employees think if she was late? Moreover, this meeting was specifically for the discussion of the proposal, an important meeting she couldn’t miss.

She honked the horn in frustration as she looked at the cars crawling like snails ahead.

After a series of starts and stops, Luo Xiaoqian finally managed to get around two cars that had collided. She turned on her right turn signal, intending to turn right.

But unexpectedly, a bright yellow sports car suddenly sped up from behind. She saw it in the rearview mirror and quickly hit the brakes, startled.

The car shook as the front of the sports car hit her rear bumper.

”SHIT!” Luo Xiaoqian cursed under her breath, stopped the car, turned on her hazard lights, got out of the car, and looked at the car behind her. ”You...”

She froze when she saw the man getting out of the sports car. Her eyes widened, and she quickly got back into her car, started it, and made a swift right turn into the lane.

Jiao Yang watched the white Land Rover disappear into the traffic and shrugged in confusion.

”What a strange woman!”

After driving in Europe for so long, he still wasn’t quite used to driving left-hand drive cars here. That’s why he had accidentally hit the car in front. He had intended to get out and apologize, but the other driver suddenly sped off, leaving him bewildered.

Luo Xiaoqian had moved too quickly for him to get a good look at her face, but he could vaguely tell she was a tall woman.

”Move it!”

Honk! The impatient honking from behind brought Jiao Yang back to reality. He got back into his car and merged into traffic.

Driving into the underground garage of her company’s office building, Luo Xiaoqian checked the rearview mirror to make sure she wasn’t being followed and sighed in relief.

As she got out, grabbed her handbag, and walked towards the elevator, her eyebrows were still knitted in frustration.

How could Jiao Yang be back in Beijing?

When she left Beijing, she had written him a letter. She later heard he had left Asia View, with no clue where he went. Now, seeing him in Beijing shocked her.

Did she mistake someone for him?!

No, that was impossible. His hair was longer, but that face... she could never mistake it.

She hurried to the meeting room, checked her watch, 8:56. Thank goodness, she wasn’t late.

Adjusting her emotions, she pushed the door open and entered.

”President Luo.”

Seeing her enter, a few waiting subordinates quickly stood up.

”Sorry, there was some traffic. Let’s start now!” She took her seat, opened her laptop, and was ready to work. ”I reviewed the shooting plan last night. I think the theme idea is fine; it just needs more depth. If anyone has questions, bring them up for discussion.”

One subordinate raised his face. ”Mike called earlier; the Americans want us to find a locally influential singer in China to participate in the MV shoot.”

”That’s doable.” Luo Xiaoqian nodded.
