After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 818: Chapter 822: The Domineering and Direct Leng Zimo

Leng Zimo didn’t like noise. In his impression, children meant noise, willfulness, crying... all negative adjectives.

But from the first moment he saw Mo Mo, he liked the child.

That little guy completely overturned his impression of children.

He was sensible and polite, strong and didn’t like to cry. Although he could be more stubborn than him when he got angry, that kind of perseverance was precisely to his liking, especially the love and steadfastness the little guy had for his mother, which was exactly like the love he had for his own mother back then...

Looking at that little guy, he vaguely saw his childhood self.

Mother Mo Mo was raising him alone, it mustn’t be easy. He really wanted to do something for this child.

”What?”

Luo Xiaoqian asked, surprised.

Hearing the surprise in her voice, Leng Zimo realized he had been too direct and quickly explained, ”Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean anything else. I genuinely like this child, so I want us to take care of him together. Maybe I could let him be my godson...”

He was Mo Mo’s biological father, how could he be his godfather.

”No way...” Luo Xiaoqian instinctively denied, realizing she was too agitated, she hurried to cover it up, ”Mr. Leng, don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t appreciate your goodwill, it’s just... I don’t want you to be his godfather. I mean... it wouldn’t be fair to you. What I’m trying to say... I... I mean... I don’t want to reject you. Do you understand?”

God knows, she absolutely didn’t want to reject him, she was just too flustered, that’s why she said no.

Luo Xiaoqian wanted to salvage the situation, but the more she explained, the more confused she became, stammering, not even knowing what she was saying.

”I understand.” Leng Zimo interrupted her.

”You understand?!”

Luo Xiaoqian was stunned. Even she didn’t know what she was saying, yet he said he understood.

”You’re worried about Mo Mo being a burden to me, aren’t you?” Leng Zimo held the phone, walking onto the terrace, looking at the night scene in front of him, ”Let me be honest with you, Mo Mo and I really get along. When I see him, it’s like seeing my childhood self. From the first moment I saw him, I liked him. I want to take care of him not out of sympathy or any other reason, just pure fondness. Being with him makes me happy. So, I hope you seriously consider my request. I know you don’t understand me well. This request is indeed a bit excessive. I only hope to interact with him more with your permission. I definitely mean no harm. You don’t have to immediately accept me as his godfather, just agree to let him interact with me more. Is that okay?”

That’s the kind of person he is, he never easily gives up on the things he wants or the things he wants to do.

It was like that five years ago, and it’s still the same five years later.

Back then, he set his eyes on Luo Xiaoqian and thought of every possible way to keep her.

This time is the same. He likes the child, so he wants to see him more often, as simple as that.

What could Luo Xiaoqian say?!

How could she not agree to such a request?

”Of course.”

On the other end of the phone, Luo Xiaoqian agreed immediately.

Leng Zimo smiled in satisfaction, ”Thank you.”

”It’s me who should be thanking you.” Luo Xiaoqian replied softly.

”Well then, can I take him out to play this weekend?!”
