After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 85: Chapter 85: A Touch of Warmth

She had expected him to refuse with some clever excuse, but Leng Zimo simply replied with a single word as usual.

”Okay!”

Actually, he hadn’t thought about it as complicatedly as she had.

It was just her asking him what he liked to eat, and he told her what he liked, that’s all.

This tyrant had behaved quite well today.

Luo Xiaoqian breathed a sigh of relief.

When the elevator doors opened, she took the initiative to drag the suitcase, but ended up grasping his hand, which had reached out first.

Her face turned red, and she hurriedly retracted her hand, holding onto the elevator as she watched him walk out. Only then did she hastily follow.

Arriving at the door, Leng Zimo suddenly stopped, causing her to bump into his back, her nose sore from the collision.

”Why did you stop?” she complained instinctively.

”Open the door!” Leng Zimo said in front of her.

He was in front, and yet he wanted her to open the door?

Luo Xiaoqian was naturally inclined to get angry, but seeing him holding her bag in his other hand, she quickly realized and hurriedly stepped forward, fishing out the keys from around her neck.

The ribbon wasn’t long and the keyhole was right in the middle of the door, so she had to bend down to avoid taking off the keys.

Such a movement had a somewhat childish air to it.

Watching her stuff the key back into her blouse, Leng Zimo’s lips curved up in satisfaction.

”You go take a shower, and I’ll cook noodles for you!”

She took his suitcase from him, placing it aside in the hallway, and then took out slippers from the shoe cabinet.

His and hers.

She had no experience as a lover, but she still remembered that her mother used to do this whenever she came back with her father.

Leng Zimo took a look around. Everything was clean and tidy, and beside his usual, lone pair of men’s slippers, there was now an additional pair of pink, bunny slippers.

Among the black and white cool tones, that pair of pink slippers added a touch of warmth to the environment.

After changing slippers, Luo Xiaoqian headed straight to the kitchen, while Leng Zimo went into the bedroom to shower.

By the time he came out from the shower, Luo Xiaoqian had already cooked the noodles and placed them on the dining table, sitting on a chair, carefully rolling up her sweatpants to check the wound on her leg.

Around her knee, there was a large bruise, and in two places, the skin was scraped off.

Noticing him approaching, she quickly pulled the pants leg down and stood up.

”The noodles are ready!”

In the beautiful white porcelain bowl, a round slice of tomato cradled a poached egg, the green onions were vibrant, and the noodles were fine.

In the air, there was the scent of sesame oil.

Leng Zimo paused. It had been a long time since he last had such a home-cooked meal.

”Smells good, doesn’t it?” she asked with a smile.

He just replied with three words, ”Go take a shower!”

Pouting, she turned and walked upstairs.

Because she had to be careful with the wound and hadn’t the courage to face what was to come, she showered very slowly. Despite that, she couldn’t avoid getting water on the wound, and the scraped areas stung.

When she finally dried off and put on a bathrobe, she hesitated at the door.

”Haven’t dried my hair yet!”

Finding a reason to delay, she grabbed the hair dryer and started drying her hair.

When it was halfway dry, the bathroom door opened.

She turned around to see Leng Zimo walking in, and she hurriedly explained, ”I’ll be done soon, I’m not doing this on purpose to waste time...”

Leng Zimo didn’t say anything, simply walking step by step towards her.

She backed up until she hit the wall with no place to go.

He, however, stopped in front of the washbasin and took a toothbrush from the rack.
