After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Lu Hao’s True Colors

”Don’t worry, I will!” Lu Hao smiled with utmost gentleness.

Tan Chingching turned and left, Luo Xiaoqian picked herself up from the ground and turned to leave.

She didn’t want to lay eyes on such a man ever again.

Lu Hao grabbed her arm in one swift motion and pinned her against the wall, ”Luo Xiaoqian, what exactly do you want?”

”Get your filthy hands off!” Luo Xiaoqian growled.

Now, she was truly grateful, grateful that she was able to see him for the scum he was in time and hadn’t foolishly given her everything to him.

This man could say the same thing to anyone, she was foolish to have been deceived by him.

”Luo Xiaoqian, I’m warning you, if you dare to follow me again and mess with my affairs, I absolutely won’t show you any mercy!” Lu Hao threatened coldly.

He naturally assumed that Luo Xiaoqian’s appearance here today was because she was trailing him.

Otherwise, with her capabilities, how could she possibly appear in such a high-end hotel restaurant?!

So, the true colors are revealed, aren’t they?

Luo Xiaoqian looked at the ferocious expression on his face, her heart frostbitten.

”Following you? Lu Hao, you think too highly of yourself!” She forcefully pushed away his hand and lifted her chin with pride, ”Let me tell you, don’t think you’re the only man in the world, I, Luo Xiaoqian, am not unwanted, following you – I’m not sick to that extent!”

Turning around, she hurried into the corridor.

Pursing her lips all the way back to the private room, she took a tissue from her bag, carefully wiped her eyes, and then silently pushed the door open and walked in.

She thought they wouldn’t notice her, but just as she had settled into her seat, Leng Zimo, who had been engrossed in conversation with Mr. Anderson, turned his face towards her.

”Is something wrong?”

She pretended to be casual as she picked up a glass of juice, ”I just needed some air!”

Turning his head, Leng Zimo continued to look at Anderson.

She drained the juice in her glass in one go, her mood complex as she set down the glass. Noticing a wine glass nearby, she grabbed it without a second glance and took a large gulp.

The red wine was bitter.

But she did not notice, and seeing his glass not far off, she unceremoniously took it too and drank heartily.

She couldn’t stop, she needed to keep herself busy, that way she could hold back from thinking about how heartless that person was, that way she could forget how much it hurt.

Leng Zimo’s gaze swept across her profile, ”Mr. Anderson, let’s call it a day. I have a very important appointment. I’ll be traveling to Paris in a few days, when we can discuss the specifics in more detail!”

”Of course!”

Mr. Anderson, being who he was, had already noticed that something was off with Luo Xiaoqian beside him and readily agreed with a smile.

After shaking hands with him, accompanied by his assistant, he left.

Leng Zimo, having escorted the two to the elevator, returned to the private room. He didn’t sit down but strode over and snatched the bottle from her hands.

”What exactly is going on?!”

Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face, glanced at the empty chair opposite, and struggled to control her emotions to keep her eyes from tearing up, ”They... where’d Mr. Anderson and his group go?”

He bluntly exposed her, ”Your eyes are red!”

”I’m fine.” Luo Xiaoqian struggled to stand, ”I just went to the restroom earlier and accidentally got soap in my eyes, so they’re a bit uncomfortable!”

She fabricated a lie on the spot, shook him off, and staggered out of the private room to the elevator.

Leng Zimo chased after her with long strides, grabbing her shoulders tightly and pinning her against the wall.

”You’re lying!”
