After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Parallel Parking

Damn it, she actually dared to disobey his words.

He had said not to mention it, yet she insisted on saying that person’s name?!

Frowning at her, observing the tear streaks on her small face, Leng Zimo’s anger surged. He pulled her over forcefully and domineeringly sealed her lips, stifling all her crying and cursing in her throat.

The driver glanced at the rear-view mirror, raised his hand, and pressed a button, elevating the glass that separated the front seats from the rear, isolating everything in the back.

Having followed Leng Zimo for many years, this was the first time the driver had seen his master act like this towards a girl.

Although he was somewhat surprised, a hint of a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

With alcohol clouding her senses, Luo Xiaoqian, who was already somewhat groggy, quickly lost herself in his forceful kisses.

Her heart was cold, and her whole being was as if drowning in icy water, deadly cold, while he was as hot as fire. Like a drowning person grasping at straws on the water’s surface, she instinctively held onto him, clumsily responding.

Leng Zimo had initially only wanted to stop her crying and her voice, not wanting to hear that name from her mouth again, but now he had forgotten his original purpose.

This girl always made him lose control.

”Say my name?” he murmured in a low voice.

”Who are you?” Luo Xiaoqian asked vaguely.

He bit her displeasedly, ”Look for yourself!”

She winced in pain and looked up at him more carefully.

The lights outside the car window flickered on and off, casting shadows over his face, so familiar.

”Say my name!”

She seemed to have heard this phrase before too.

”I remember now!” Luo Xiaoqian laughed softly, ”You’re that bastard Leng Zimo who loves to bite!”

The bastard Leng Zimo who loves to bite!

Was this how she saw him in her mind?!

”Night... no, Zimo... that’s right... Zimo, that’s how you asked me to call you, isn’t it...” She smiled and tugged at his lapel, pulling him closer to her, ”You like me, don’t you, you must like me... right? Otherwise, why would you keep me, three million a month... I, Luo Xiaoqian... am not without suitors... Leng Zimo, say something... say you like me... come on...” Her voice grew more agitated, her tone changing from its initial firmness to pleading, ”Even if... you only like my body... that’s okay too...”

Beneath him, with tear-streaked cheeks, Leng Zimo felt his heart clench.

”Pull over, go home first!”

He ordered loudly.

The car deftly turned off the main road and stopped near a quiet riverbank. The driver asked no questions, opened the door, and left the vehicle, quickly walking away.

...

...

After a long while, everything settled down.

Looking at Luo Xiaoqian, who had fallen asleep against his chest, Leng Zimo carefully raised his hand to brush away the hair on her face.

A tear still clung to her lowered eyelashes.

In the dim night, the tear shone like a crystalline pearl. He carefully raised his finger and wiped away the tear.

Then, bending over, he picked up his coat from inside the car, draped it over her, and retrieved his cell phone from the pocket. He dialed a number, ”Investigate someone for me!”

”Yes!” the person on the other end responded respectfully and promptly, ”Name!”

”Lu Hao, a newcomer who recently released a single!” Leng Zimo’s voice turned icy, ”I want to know everything related to him!”

Then, he hung up the phone.

Carefully, he moved Luo Xiaoqian onto the car seat, covered her with the spare blanket from the trunk, and pulled the seatbelt over her to protect her from falling. Only then did he put on his clothes, which had been pulled out of shape, opened the car door, and sat down in the driver’s seat.
