After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 82: Chapter 82 This isn’t right here...

This was his way; Leng Zimo announced his ownership of Luo Xiaoqian in this special manner.

He just didn’t like to see her cry, especially not for another man.

She was his; how could she shed tears over some other man!

As he held her, he patted her back like soothing a child.

Even through her clothes, the warmth from his palm seeped in.

The hurt and pain in Luo Xiaoqian’s heart seemed to be gradually dried and cleansed by his embrace and warmth.

Noticing his fingers starting to become restless, Luo Xiaoqian’s body shivered, and she hastily raised her hand to push his fingers away.

”Don’t!”

They were in a car now.

”Didn’t you say you wanted to spend quality time with me?”

Leng Zimo thought she was rejecting him again and, staring into her eyes, he asked in a deep voice.

”I didn’t mean...” Luo Xiaoqian dared not meet his gaze, ”I mean, here... it’s not possible!”

They were in a car, with a driver sitting in the front seat. She didn’t have that kind of courage!

Watching her flushed cheeks, the coldness in his eyes dissipated, and he spoke out loudly, ”Back to World City!”

The driver responded and merged the car into the turn.

Luo Xiaoqian frantically adjusted her clothes, which had been pulled to the brink of not covering her body, intending to shift to one side.

”Don’t move!” He circled her waist and commanded sternly, ”Otherwise, you’ll be responsible for the consequences!”

His voice, clearly hoarse, resonated in her ears.

Helplessly, she could only sit on his lap.

To distract herself and to shift his mood, she carefully spoke up in his arms, ”Didn’t you say a week? Today is only the fifth day. Have you finished your work?”

”Yes!” Leng Zimo played with a strand of her hair that had fallen loose, ”It’s finished!”

Leng Zimo wasn’t exactly a workaholic, but he always cared about work efficiency.

This time, the seven-day schedule was very tight, yet he still managed to complete a week’s work in less than five days. He left only Ailin there to handle some aftermath affairs before rushing back urgently.

That day, when he hadn’t yet departed, she got into that situation.

This girl truly never gave him peace of mind!

This time was no different; he directed the driver to EM, wanting to pick her up, and when he called her, he was still several streets away. He then heard some unusual noises and immediately ordered to head to EM Company’s entrance at once.

”Did everything go smoothly?” She continued searching for a topic.

Leng Zimo’s face rested on her hair, ”Yes!”

Feeling his breath brushing through her hair strands, tingling sensations started spreading down her back.

Dammit, even her hair had become sensitive around him.

”Our training has ended; tomorrow we have a day off!” Leng Zimo spoke again.

The atmosphere was too odd; if she didn’t say something else, she wouldn’t be able to stay a minute longer.

EM to World City is only separated by two streets; why haven’t they arrived yet?

No, the car wasn’t moving at all!

She lifted her face toward the window.

Looking out, she saw countless cars lining up in a long queue.

Heavens, it was a traffic jam!

Luo Xiaoqian felt like crying but had no tears; in Beijing, once traffic jammed up, cars moved as slow as snails. If it continued like this, how much longer would she have to sit in his arms?!

”A holiday?!” Leng Zimo inquired.

”Yes.” Luo Xiaoqian reluctantly withdrew her gaze, answering his question, ”The training is over. The day after tomorrow, we’re going to do rehearsal, and then it’s almost time for the rematch.”
