After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 77: Chapter 77: There Are Mosquitoes

Leng Zimo raised an eyebrow, seemingly seeing right through her, ”No farewell kiss?”

Pervert!

He wanted a farewell kiss?!

Pouting at him, Luo Xiaoqian turned her face back around, now smiling charmingly. She walked over stiffly, held his shoulders, tiptoed, and kissed his lips.

Although she tried to appear calm, she was still somewhat nervous. This man’s presence was so overwhelming that her heartbeat involuntarily quickened whenever she got close to him.

Bowing her head, not daring to look into his eyes, she leaned in carefully, fearing he might change his mind at the last second, so she didn’t dare to take this lightly.

...

...

It took a while before Leng Zimo finally let her go, gasping for breath, and then he commanded again in his dominant manner.

”Call me three times a day, morning, noon, and night!”

No way?

They weren’t even a real couple, did they need to be so inseparably close?

Before she could react, he issued a second command.

”Go straight home from the company after classes, and don’t run around anywhere else!”

”Okay!” Luo Xiaoqian agreed breathlessly, trying to escape from his embrace.

It was just a phone call after all; he couldn’t possibly come biting her through the signal. As for running around, well, her legs were her own.

However, his hand was hooked around her waist, holding her close, his deep gaze fixed on her.

Helplessly, she mimicked his actions and pecked his lips, ”I’ll take you to the elevator!”

Glancing at his watch, knowing that the driver should have arrived downstairs by now, he finally released her.

Luo Xiaoqian bustled about, opening the door for him, then hurried to the elevator to press the button for him. Since their household was the only one on the nineteenth floor, she wasn’t worried about anyone seeing and feeling embarrassed.

As Leng Zimo stepped into the elevator, she stood outside, smiling at him, ”Take care on your way!”

The elevator doors slowly closed, and as his face finally disappeared behind them, the sweet expression on her face pulled a complete three hundred and sixty-degree turn, lifting her right hand, she gave the elevator the middle finger.

Leng Zimo, what a jerk...

Just when her hand was extended, the elevator doors unexpectedly opened again.

Seeing Leng Zimo’s figure slowly reappearing inside the elevator, Luo Xiaoqian’s mouth gaped open in shock.

Two seconds later, she came to her senses, hastily retracting her right hand and awkwardly explained with a chuckle, ”That... there was a mosquito in the elevator... mosquito...”

Leng Zimo’s gaze swept over her hand hidden behind her back and he handed her a card, ”If there’s an emergency, you can contact this person. Just mention my name, and he’ll do anything for you!”

”Sure!” Luo Xiaoqian took the card placidly, grateful that he hadn’t lost his temper.

The elevator doors closed once more, and this time, she had learned her lesson. Watching the numbers on the stairwell display count down, she jumped up excitedly on the spot.

”Oh yeah, freedom forever! Yo yo, cut the crap... The scary demon’s gone, the little devil takes the throne... Zimo, serve your master some pickled cabbage...” She hopped and skipped to the door side, using a rap rhythm, singing a tune she made up, and pulled the doorknob.

She tried forcefully; it wouldn’t open.

She tried again, with more force; still, it wouldn’t budge.

Is this some kind of mistake, it’s actually locked from the outside!

She turned around and dashed towards the stairs like a madwoman.

By the time she made it to the sixteenth floor, the elevator was displaying thirteen.

”May the gods be with me, Leng Zimo, please haven’t gone!” Ignoring the surprised look from the gentleman waiting for the elevator, Luo Xiaoqian charged into the stairwell once again.

Finally, when she arrived on the first floor, gasping for breath, the elevator door just happened to open.
