To the Liu Brothers, the Saint Laurent Group was one of the four most famous luxury conglomerates in the world. They were certainly no strangers to it! This was especially true considering Earl Pierce was such a renowned figure, the current head of the Saint Laurent Group... Is that Doctor Chen the one who saved Miss Rosa, Earl Pierce’s wife?

”The Earl Pierce of the Saint Laurent Group?” Even Liu Junyi, the most influential man in the Soria Group’s Liu Family aside from Elder Liu, couldn’t help but furrow his brows, his gaze flickering.

The Saint Laurent Group was not like their own Carl Group. The latter was famous only within the United Kingdom, while the former’s influence was enough to shake the entire world! As one of the world’s four largest luxury groups, the Saint Laurent Group from Italy was worth at least a hundred billion, which was no laughing matter. In the entire world, how many super-conglomerates of that scale even existed? In any case, even their own Liu Family of the Soria Group fell a bit short.

Moreover, if they could take ’just one more step,’ it was conceivable they could vie for the very throne of the European financial world.

So, even though Liu Junyi was proud that their Soria Group was one of the ten richest financial groups in Britain today, he knew that confronting the Saint Laurent Family of Italy would be extremely troublesome. Unless it was absolutely necessary, he would never want any misunderstandings or conflicts with such a behemoth.

”Big Brother, he’s just a doctor. What’s there to be afraid of?” Liu Qianshan, the second son, said. ”Even the Saint Laurent Group wouldn’t turn on our Liu Family of the Soria Group for some doctor, would they? Besides, this is London, not their home turf in Rome! We just need to find that doctor surnamed Chen and get him to treat Dad. That’s the most important thing.” He couldn’t imagine the Saint Laurent Group making an enemy of the Soria Group’s Liu Family over a mere doctor.

Hearing his younger brother, Liu Junyi felt he had been overthinking things. Even if that Doctor Chen saved Earl Pierce’s wife, they wouldn’t turn on our Liu Family of the Soria Group for a mere doctor. That’s impossible! Anyone would know who to choose in a contest between a single doctor and the Liu Family of the Soria Group.

”Alright. Have someone look into it,” he said with a slight nod, his tone leaving no room for argument. ”Since we ran into him at the airport, he must have just entered the country. There will definitely be an entry record.”

With the status and power of the Soria Group’s Liu Family in Britain, finding one person should be laughably easy, right?

”Wait, Mr. Liu Junyi...” Seeing this, the color drained from George Anthony Lias’s face. His expression became completely unnatural, and he hesitated for a long time, wanting to speak but holding back.

Having learned of Doctor Chen Fei’s immense background, he fully understood that such a figure—a Divine Doctor—could no longer be judged by the standards of an ordinary physician! A man of that stature only treats patients based on his mood; no one can force him! But now, Doctor Chen Fei has clearly stated his disinterest, yet the Liu brothers, Liu Junyi and Liu Qianshan, still seem intent on using coercion... This is making me very uneasy. After all, compared to the Brad Family of the Dark Emperor from Italy, the Liu Family of the Soria Group is truly nothing. But things have already reached this point, and I can’t stop it. If I try, I’ll just end up offending both sides...

「...」

Several hours later, in a private dining room at the Park Tower Knight Hotel, Chen Fei was leisurely enjoying dinner alone. He appreciated the enchanting night view through the floor-to-ceiling windows, feeling utterly content.

”Hello, Old Brad? I’ve made it to London. Right now, I’m at...” Just then, he took a call from Old Brad.

”My apologies, my dear Chen, I’m afraid I can’t meet up with you tonight,” came Old Brad’s very apologetic, yet clearly frazzled voice, causing Chen Fei to pause for a moment. ”We’ve had some sudden trouble come up within the family, and I’m dealing with it now.”

”That’s alright,” he said, shaking his head slightly. ”But what about the Ashford Family...”

”Don’t worry about the Ashford Family. I’ve already arranged for my son to go to London tomorrow in my place. He’ll contact you directly then. My dear Chen, I am truly sorry...” Old Brad explained, apologizing once again.

”It’s fine, it’s nothing. I’ll wait for your son’s call tomorrow, then. I’m in the middle of dinner, so I’ll hang up now.” Chen Fei didn’t think much of it, offering a few reassurances with a smile before ending the call.

The Ashford Family, huh...

After hanging up, he gazed out at the beautiful night sky through the massive floor-to-ceiling window. His eyes, as dark and clear as polished obsidian, seemed to swirl with an otherworldly light, and a faint smile touched his lips. A few months ago, I wouldn’t have had the confidence or the ability to show up at their door and demand something. But now... If I don’t see that final piece of the Jade Artifacts at the auction held by the Ashford Family, then I’ll just have to pay a personal visit and ’negotiate’ with the ’Black Dragon’ Nemosin. I’ve been searching for that last jade piece for so long. I will not let it go. It must be mine!

”Hmph.”

But then, he suddenly frowned. His Spiritual Sense had already detected a group of uninvited guests approaching.

A moment later, the door to his private dining room opened. A middle-aged man with an Eastern face and a mustache, in his forties or fifties, led a group of men in black suits into the room. This man was one of Liu Junyi’s subordinates, named Yuan Kai, also from China. Without asking for permission, Yuan Kai pushed the door open, strode inside, and arrogantly scanned the room. His gaze finally landed on our Young Master Chen, and a flash of contempt and impatience crossed his face.

So young? Just seeing that Chen Fei was clearly only twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old was enough to make an older man of his status feel an involuntary and ’justified’ sense of contempt and impatience. This wet-behind-the-ears punk is the one I, Yuan Kai, had to personally come and invite? What a waste of my time!

”Are you Chen Fei?”

But when he recalled the orders Mr. Liu Junyi had given him, his face twitched. Forcing himself to be patient, he stepped forward and looked down at Chen Fei with an arrogant expression. ”Let me introduce myself. I am Yuan Kai, from the Soria Group.”

He paused for a moment before continuing in a commanding tone, ”Our Soria Group’s Mr. Liu Huazheng is feeling unwell. You will come with me immediately to take a look at him.”

”Soria Group?” Chen Fei’s eyes flickered. He glanced at the uninvited guests, then seemed to lose interest. Turning his attention back to the exquisite meal before him, he forked a piece of steak, put it in his mouth, and said casually as he chewed, ”I’m busy.”

Honestly, even though he hadn’t planned on treating any patients during this trip, since they were all fellow countrymen abroad, he wouldn’t have minded helping out if he could. However, this guy shows up with this unbelievably arrogant attitude, acting like he owns the place and giving orders that can’t be refused. He’s exactly like that idiot Xiao Qianrang! I can’t even be bothered with him.

”What did you say!? You’re busy!?” Yuan Kai clearly hadn’t expected Chen Fei to dare respond with such an attitude. His face darkened instantly, his expression turning foul.

How prestigious is our Soria Group? We’re one of the ten wealthiest conglomerates in the United Kingdom! Who wouldn’t want to curry favor with us? At my invitation, any doctor should be weeping with gratitude and begging for the chance to treat the venerable Mr. Liu Huazheng. But it seems I was mistaken?

The arrogant expression on Yuan Kai’s face froze. He stared at Chen Fei, forcing down his anger as he said coldly, ”Young man, don’t think a little bit of talent gives you the right to be arrogant. Doctor George must have told you about the status of our venerable Mr. Liu Huazheng of the Soria Group, right?”

His expression and tone were now a thinly veiled threat, a cold smile that didn’t reach his eyes. The venerable Mr. Liu Huazheng is one of the most powerful and respected overseas Chinese figures in all of Europe. His status is beyond question. How dare this insignificant doctor refuse him? Is he courting death or just clueless about his own standing!?

”So what if I do? And so what if I don’t? Why don’t you enlighten me?” To Yuan Kai’s surprise, our Young Master Chen showed no hint of panic. Instead, the corners of his mouth slowly lifted into a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

”What about it!?” This defiant attitude from Young Master Chen instantly infuriated Yuan Kai. His face grew grim, and his eyes bore into Chen Fei with hostility. ”Do I really need to spell it out for you?” he said coldly. ”It seems your intelligence is a bit lacking...” At these words, Chen Fei’s gaze turned icy.

”Since you want to know ’what about it,’ I’ll tell you!” Yuan Kai sneered again, his eyes locking onto Chen Fei with disdain. ”Our venerable Mr. Liu Huazheng is the founder and current head of the Soria Group! And the Soria Group is one of the ten wealthiest conglomerates in the United Kingdom. Not even the British Royal Family dares to disregard us. Do you understand what that means?”

”Kid, let me make this very clear to you! If you can cure Mr. Liu Huazheng’s strange illness, it will be the absolute high point of your entire life! Countless people can only dream of such an opportunity. But if you dare refuse to treat him, or if you fail...”

He paused dramatically before his voice became haughty and proud. ”Young man, take a piece of advice from someone who’s seen the world. Be smart, come with us now, and treat Mr. Liu. I can be the bigger person and pretend this little incident never happened. We can let bygones be bygones. But if you continue to be so arrogant and fail to appreciate this gesture... heh, you will most definitely live to regret it.” By the end, his face was twisted into a cold sneer.
