Medical Sage

It was evident that he was absolutely furious, his heart seething with rage!

Who in the world does he think I am? What is my status?

His father was a member of parliament and his mother was the behind-the-scenes owner of a multinational corporation. More importantly, his surname was Doug Rif! In London, and even across the entire United Kingdom, anyone who understood what that name meant would probably be scared weak in the knees! It was a name synonymous with fame and immense power!

That was to say, Asol was born with a Golden Key in his mouth! He had all the money and power he could ever want! It had always been him, Asol, who oppressed others, especially in London and Shanghai! But now? To be squeezed by a mere person of Huaxia until he screamed in pain, to be secretly glanced at by his compatriots on the plane with looks of strangeness, even contempt... Asol’s face burned as if it were on fire.

This is an utter disgrace! The first time this has ever happened to me!

”Is that so? If you have the ability to send me to prison, I have no objections. I’m just afraid you don’t have what it takes.”

Hearing this, Chen Fei gave a noncommittal smile, paying no mind to the foreigner’s arrogant posturing. He then switched to remarkably fluent English and said, ”Also, don’t you think your breath has a rather strong odor? My apologies, I don’t know if all British people are like this, but you… shouldn’t you perhaps go to the restroom to brush your teeth, or buy something from that beautiful flight attendant over there to freshen your breath? Otherwise, you’re giving the British people a bad name.”

As soon as he said this, the expressions of the many British passengers on board changed. They understood exactly what Chen Fei was saying. Furthermore, British people did indeed place great importance on personal etiquette and so-called gentlemanly conduct. To have bad breath—how embarrassing, how unrefined!

But that wasn’t even the most important point. The most important thing was, how much of an embarrassment was this to them as British people?

Instantly, almost every Briton in the cabin fixed Asol with a contemptuous stare, as if they too could smell the overpowering odor from his mouth.

This was, of course, a little trick employed by our Young Master Chen.

”You, I... You just wait!” Asol was stunned. He hadn’t expected Chen Fei to speak such fluent and perfect English. More than that, he couldn’t understand what was happening. Why? How could my breath suddenly stink? It never does! I even brushed my teeth at the villa this morning before leaving...

But clearly, the current situation didn’t allow him the time to calm down and think things through. He spat out a harsh threat before immediately ducking into the washroom.

There was no helping it. For people who had always prided themselves on being gentlemen, bad breath was an immense and unrefined embarrassment.

”That obnoxious foreigner! Does he really think he can just beckon with his finger and I’ll throw myself at him? Hmph, serves him right! What a piece of work!” Seeing the annoying Brit finally get his comeuppance—fleeing in disgrace under the prickly glares of the other passengers, his face burning with shame—Feng Lu’s frustration was finally vented. She waved a small fist, her face lit with excitement.

Although it was true that such situations were common in their country, with many local women fawning over foreigners, as a citizen of Huaxia, she just couldn’t stand it! Nor did she want to associate with those shallow women.

She generally despised foreigners who would approach women so directly, flaunting their international status as if every hair on their bodies were plastered with US dollars and Euros. And as for today’s offer—how much to be her friend? Pah, what a joke!

”Alright, let’s go back to our seats.” Hearing Feng Lu, Chen Fei just smiled, shook his head, and returned to his seat.

”Hey, wait for me.”

Feng Lu immediately followed, her expression a mixture of gratitude and curiosity. ”Thank you so much for earlier. I don’t know what I would have done without you. I really didn’t expect your English to be so good, your accent is so fluent! Did you live in the United Kingdom before? But even someone who lived in the UK for a few years wouldn’t necessarily be so fluent, right?”

She should know. Before graduating, she had spent a year and a half as an exchange student at a famous UK institution. Even so, her spoken English was still sometimes halting and awkward. Yet Chen Fei was completely different. To her ears, he sounded perfectly fluent, almost like a native speaker.

”The United Kingdom? No, but I did spend some time in Central and Southern Europe. Everyone spoke English there,” Chen Fei replied, slightly taken aback, before offering a casual excuse.

He really had been to Central and Southern Europe, albeit for a ’slightly’ shorter duration. But the nature of it was more or less the same.

At that moment, the Englishman, Asol, finally emerged from the restroom. This time, he felt as if he were being pierced by the hundreds of prickly, scorching glares of the onlookers. It was the absolute height of humiliation.

Precisely because of this, when his eyes darted over to Chen Fei and Feng Lu, who were already back in their seats, and he saw that damnable woman laughing and chatting happily with that Huaxia dog, a smile plastered on her face, Asol felt as if he had just eaten shit. He was overcome with an indescribable sense of shame, frustration, and rage!

We are both men, yet our treatment is as different as heaven and earth! And what about my status? What about my identity? My surname is Doug Rif! My father is a member of parliament, and I’m rich! And now, I’ve been rejected by a stinking Huaxia bitch! That’s not even the worst of it! The worst part is that the stinking bitch is now laughing and chatting with another mongrel of a man, hitting it off with him. What does that mean? Does it mean that I, Asol Doug Rif, am even beneath that mutt and that Huaxia woman? The moment the thought entered his mind, it spread uncontrollably, like darkness falling in the night.

Stupid bitch! Damned mutt from Huaxia...

Shame and hatred contorted Asol’s face into a livid mask. He ground his teeth with an audible grit, his fists clenched so tight that the veins bulged. It was the first time in his life he had ever felt such humiliation and disgrace.

FUCK! Those damned Huaxia bastards. You two had better pray I don’t run into you in London again. Otherwise, you’ll see just how I’ll deal with you! A vicious, ruthless light glinted in Asol’s eyes.

After all, London was his turf! The Doug Rif family was genuinely famous in London, possessing a level of power far beyond what ordinary people could imagine. If London wasn’t so vast, and if he had any idea where that Huaxia bitch and her mutt were headed after the flight, he would already be arranging his revenge...

Several hours later, Chen Fei’s flight from Pudong International Airport finally landed at Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom.

Because he had already agreed to take the special-deal apartment Feng Lu was offering, Chen Fei didn’t leave immediately after disembarking. Instead, he waited inside the airport. He hadn’t brought much luggage, but Feng Lu, it seemed, had brought quite a lot. That’s just how girls are. However, the baggage claim was slightly delayed, so Chen Fei decided to head out to the arrivals hall to find something to eat.

After such a long flight, he was actually quite hungry.

”You, you, you are Doctor Chen!?”

But just as Young Master Chen was about to look for some food, a voice with an Italian accent—filled with surprise and a hint of uncertainty—called out from behind him.

Startled, Chen Fei turned toward the sound.

Not far away, at the exit of another arrivals gate, stood a group of seven or eight blond or brown-haired foreigners. One of them was staring at him in disbelief. This man was none other than George Anthony Lias, the top cardiovascular expert from Italy with whom he’d had a brief and ’unpleasant encounter’ back in Florence.

Standing beside him was another man who appeared a few years older. He was dressed in sober, yet visibly expensive, attire. He had a hooked nose, blue eyes, and sharply defined facial features, though they were marked by wrinkles and signs of aging. The aura he naturally exuded was quite intimidating.
