”A good person? I am now formally and solemnly warning you: I reject the Good Person Card! I’m serious. You can slander me for not being handsome, but you absolutely cannot insult my character. I’ll say it again! I reject the Good Person Card,” Chen Fei said with righteous indignation.

Collecting too many of those things is a recipe for tragedy. So, I must absolutely resist, I must never accept one.

”Alright, alright, I won’t give it to you, stingy. Anyway, do you really want to pay the original price? I booked a special promotional room at The Park Tower Knightsbridge, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and it’s nearly four hundred Euros a night. How about I transfer it to you for half price?” Feng Lu said, feeling both speechless and serious.

She was already happy and satisfied that Chen Fei was willing to take the room off her hands. If she still made him pay the full price, even she would feel a little embarrassed. That’s why she wanted to offer a slight discount.

”Come on, don’t make it so complicated. I already told you I’m a billionaire, do you think I’m short on this little bit of money? Besides, I’m just going there to wander around, so it doesn’t matter where I stay. It would be too much of a loss for you to give me a fifty-percent discount. There’s no need. Just transfer it to me at full price,” Chen Fei said with a smile and a wave of his hand.

A billionaire? He was much more than a simple billionaire! The money he had won in Macau alone was enough for him to spend lavishly for the rest of his life with his eyes closed. To him, money and Euros were just numbers. There was naturally no need for him to take advantage of a young woman who had just graduated. It was both unnecessary and highly unethical.

At the very least, while Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, could sometimes be a bit dense, single-minded, and impulsive, he was, on the whole, a passionate youth with ambition, goals, and principles.

My mom always taught me never to take advantage of others. There will be karmic retribution.

”You really don’t want a discount? You... don’t tell me you’re actually some kind of billionaire?” Hearing this, Feng Lu was clearly stunned, not expecting Chen Fei to be so foolish. After all, this was a difference of over two hundred Euros, more than a thousand RMB. If it were anyone else in this situation, wouldn’t they have tried their best to haggle the price down? Yet this guy wasn’t just refusing to bargain; he was insisting on paying her the full price for the room.

At this thought, a look of blatant wariness appeared on Feng Lu’s face. Staring at Chen Fei with a guarded distance, she said, ”Hey, be honest with me. You don’t have a crush on me, do you? Are you harboring some kind of ulterior motive? I’m telling you, I already have someone I like. You don’t have a chance; you’re not handsome enough.”

”A crush on you!?”

Hearing this, Chen Fei nearly choked on his own saliva, his face a mask of speechlessness. He shook his head, looking helplessly at Feng Lu. ”Seriously,” he said, ”do you think I’m that desperate, or do you think you’re that irresistible? A man as suave and debonair as I, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, afraid of not having a girlf...” At this point, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, suddenly trailed off, a flicker of guilt crossing his face as he realized he didn’t, in fact, have a girlfriend.

Damn.

”You’re flustered! Ooh, hahaha, you’re definitely flustered,” Feng Lu said, covering her mouth as she laughed, a teasing and mocking tone in her voice, as if she had just discovered his deepest secret.

Then, her expression turned serious again. Looking at Chen Fei, she said teasingly, yet earnestly, ”Hey, it’s nothing strange not to have a girlfriend these days. Don’t be discouraged or sad. How about this? Seeing as we get along so well, when you come to Shanghai after returning to the country, I’ll introduce you to some of my good friends! Every single one of them is a great beauty. Introducing them to you is a real steal, so you’ll have to treat me to dinner!”

Hearing that tone, which so clearly implied he was a ”single dog” destined to be ”alone forever,” Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, felt as if he had been struck by ten thousand points of critical damage. Instantly defiant, he flushed and shot back, ”Who says I don’t have a girlfriend? If I told you who she was, it would probably scare you to death.”

”Scare me to death? Hey, Chen Fei, handsome, you’re really laying it on thick now. Why don’t you tell me who your girlfriend is? Let’s see if I know her,” Feng Lu said, her expression clearly screaming, *I don’t believe you, you’re totally bragging*. Her tone was full of teasing and ridicule.

Scare me to death? It’s not like his girlfriend is some super-famous superstar, is it? He’s just boasting without a second thought. Ah, this is what being single does to people...

”I...”

Hearing this, Chen Fei defiantly wanted to blurt out a name that would completely stun the young woman, like Gu Feishuang. But just as he was about to say the name, his expression suddenly froze.

An image of a beautiful figure with short, spirited hair, like an elf or a fairy, flashed through his mind. Then the scene abruptly shifted to a night in Italy, to a body far more curvaceous and alluring than those of the women back home, and an exquisite, stunningly beautiful face with delicate, defined features... For some reason, at that moment, he suddenly thought of her, and her.

His expression grew somber, and he fell silent.

Seeing this, Feng Lu immediately cursed herself inwardly.

Damn it, why did I have to say that? Why did I have to keep poking at his sore spot...

Putting on a pitiful expression, she looked at Chen Fei and said, ”Hey, Chen Fei, are you mad? Don’t be so petty. I was just joking. I’m sorry, okay?”

”This handsome guy,” he said with a straight face, ”is currently suffering from ten thousand points of critical, true damage and needs to be alone. Anyway, it’s not your fault. I just thought of something. The plane is taking off now.” He spouted some serious-sounding nonsense before pointing up at the overhead speaker, from which an announcement was playing.

In the short time they had been talking, the plane had prepared for takeoff.

”Alright then.” Hearing Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, say this, Feng Lu knew not to say anything more.

They both fastened their seatbelts, and the plane took off.

The flight from Shanghai to London takes about twelve to thirteen hours, mainly because in-flight refueling can sometimes cause delays.

So, on these long international flights, passengers usually just eat and sleep, sleep and eat, stare into space, daydream, or at most, chat with the people next to them and use the restroom. Time passes quickly that way.

About seven or eight hours after takeoff, Feng Lu went to the restroom. A few moments later, a bit of a commotion came from that direction, causing Chen Fei to frown slightly.

”Oh, my dear lady, you are truly beautiful. Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Asol, from London, United Kingdom. May I have your phone number?” Just as Chen Fei’s attention was drawn over, an extremely flirtatious English voice with a London accent drifted from that direction.

With his current cultivation level and strength, he could hear everything clearly from that distance, as long as he concentrated.

His eyes glinted as his gaze swept toward the restrooms. His vision shifted, and he saw Feng Lu, having just exited the restroom, being blocked by a blond foreigner in a suit and leather shoes. It seemed she was being hit on.

The foreigner was tall and well-built, at least six-foot-two. Most importantly, he had a very flashy hairstyle that was hard to describe—in short, extremely eye-catching and stylish. He had a tattoo on his neck, and on his wrist, he wore a gleaming Rolex watch, which he was subtly showing off in front of Feng Lu. The man wore a flirtatious smile, looking at Feng Lu as if he were some rich, handsome hunk who believed that women from a country like Huaxia would desperately throw themselves at him with just a crook of his finger. In fact, there was no shortage of such women in the country these days, to say nothing of a ”high-quality man” from London wearing a Rolex.

So, today was no exception. When he saw Feng Lu, he thought she was quite attractive and felt a spark. Without hesitation, he found his chance and approached her directly to ask for her phone number.

However, Feng Lu seemed uninterested in his advances; on the contrary, she looked rather disgusted. Her eyes darted around for a moment before she said, ”Sorry, Mr. Asol, my English isn’t very good. I don’t understand what you’re saying. Could you please let me pass now?”

She responded in a mix of broken English and Chinese, hoping to brush him off and leave.

”Oh, beautiful lady, your English isn’t very good? No problem, I can speak Chinese...” To her surprise, the foreigner actually spoke Chinese, and quite well at that. He then repeated his previous request in fluent Chinese. Seeing this, Feng Lu’s expression changed, as she no longer had the excuse of not understanding.

At that moment, the British man, Asol, spoke again with a wicked smile, his tone light and flirtatious, ”Oh, beautiful miss, can you tell me your phone number now? You’re very pretty. I think we could be friends.”

”I’m sorry, sir, but I’m not interested in you,” Feng Lu replied, still shaking her head.

”Not interested in me?”

Hearing this, a flash of annoyance crossed the arrogant and flirtatious British man’s eyes, but he kept the smile on his face. ”Beautiful lady, I don’t think that’s a problem. I’m sure that if you’re willing to give me your number, or give me a chance to spend a delightful evening with you in wonderful London, you’ll definitely be interested in me by the end of the night.”

Upon hearing such blatant words from the foreigner, Asol, a flash of anger appeared in Feng Lu’s beautiful eyes. She refused again without hesitation, ”I’m sorry, but I don’t think that will be necessary. Now, please step aside, sir. You’re blocking my path.”

”Hmph!”

At that, Asol’s expression finally changed. He reached out and grabbed Feng Lu’s arm, lowering his voice in irritation. ”Do you want money? That’s simple. How much money will it take for me, Asol, to become your friend? This is the first time I’ve ever done this, beautiful lady. You should feel honored.” Toward the end, he became unbearably arrogant, his head held high.

It was as if becoming his friend, even if bought with money, was truly an honor for her! Pfft, what a joke! He should go take a long look at himself in the mirror and see what he really is.
