Although the men in the hall weren’t the top bosses of Hong Kong’s gangs, at least two of them were branch managers for Dongxing and New Mark. The crowd also included countless so-called elders, elite hitmen, and underlings. At that moment, however, their expressions were as if they had seen a ghost. Trembling, they stared in horror at the young man in the doorway, feeling as though they were trapped in a dream.

Lord Guan above, what the hell kind of horrifying freak is this monster! He had dodged bullets with casual ease. The best Red Pole fighter from Dongxing’s Tsim Sha Tsui branch was like a baby in his hands, paralyzed on the ground after a few simple punches and kicks, gasping for his last breaths!

It wasn’t as if these men were unworldly. They were well aware of the figures with Extraordinary Martial Power in the black market. But even among those people, only a very small few could possibly possess such terrifying strength. Not to mention, this young man looked to be in his early twenties, and his youth only made him more frightening.

Chen Fei snorted again, his indifferent gaze sweeping over everyone present before finally landing on the terrified, profusely sweating Po Rong. Slowly, he asked, ”You’re Po Rong? Do you recognize me?” If he was connected to the attack, he would definitely recognize this face.

Upon seeing Chen Fei’s cold questioning of Po Rong, the Dongxing bosses, whose eyes had been fierce just moments before, had lowered their heads at some unknown point, adopting a posture of seeing nothing and hearing nothing. Although they belonged to the same gang as Po Rong, they weren’t blood brothers. Why would they voluntarily get involved in such a dreadful mess?

It was Po Rong’s own fault for overestimating himself and provoking such a monster. What the hell did that have to do with them? It wasn’t worth risking their lives for some misplaced sense of righteousness.

”I don’t recognize you. I don’t. Who are you? I, Po Rong, may be a scoundrel and I’ve done plenty of bad things, but I’m certain I’ve never offended you. Besides, today is a meeting between our gangs, Dongxing and New Mark. For you to come here like this… aren’t you showing our two societies a little too much disrespect?”

However, Po Rong seemed to have truly never seen Chen Fei’s face. He denied everything, his face a pale mask of fear, even invoking the names of Dongxing and New Mark in the hope that Chen Fei might be intimidated.

”Dongxing and New Mark?”

Chen Fei only gave a flat smile. He took two steps forward, reached out, and grabbed the collar of Po Rong’s garish shirt. With a look of disgust, he effortlessly lifted the man’s portly body into the air and said coldly, ”It seems my hint wasn’t enough. In that case, I’ll give you ten seconds to think. If you can’t remember by then, you won’t ever need to think again.”

As soon as Chen Fei finished speaking, the hand clutching the collar tightened slightly. Po Rong’s hefty body was lifted completely off the ground. His neck felt as if it were caught in an iron clamp, and his face instantly turned beet red. His breathing became labored, and his eyes bulged unconsciously.

”Hand... hand... cough, cough... Let go... save me!” Po Rong could barely speak from the suffocation. His eyes bulged as if they were about to pop out of their sockets, and his legs kicked wildly, though they seemed to grow weaker by the second. The scene sent an involuntary shiver down the spine of everyone present as a deep fear welled up inside them.

Although Chen Fei seemed like a monster, they all knew who Po Rong was. He was one of Dongxing’s seven official managers, his status in the gang second only to the head boss and the senior uncles. Rumor even had it that Po Rong had ties to the Ma Family, one of Hong Kong’s Five Great Tycoon Families. Who would normally dare offend him? He was the undisputed local tyrant of Tsim Sha Tsui and Yau Ma Tei.

But now, he was being dangled in mid-air like a dead dog, his struggles and gasps indicating he was about to suffocate. If the old guard at Dongxing found out, they would surely be enraged. This was a blatant slap in the face to Dongxing, and even their backers, the Ma Family, would be disgraced.

After all, this was Hong Kong. Besides the official authorities, who would dare to show such disrespect to Dongxing, let alone to the Ma Family, one of the Five Great Noble Families?

”Friend, what exactly do you want? Po Rong really doesn’t seem to have met you before. Acting like this... can’t you at least give him a chance to explain?” Finally, someone from the Dongxing side could no longer stand by and watch. It was an elderly man who seemed to hold a high position. He spoke with a hint of anger, but he didn’t dare make his tone too confrontational.

”Yes, yes! Who are you? I swear I’ve never seen you before!” Hearing this, Chen Fei loosened his grip slightly. Po Rong immediately began to greedily suck in fresh air, his face flushed as he shouted.

THUMP!

A sharp glint flashed in Chen Fei’s eyes. He casually tossed the disgusting, portly body onto the long table and said indifferently, ”Alright, then. I’ll give you a few more hints. This afternoon, just after one o’clock. The attack outside the airport. The assassin. I came from the mainland, and my name is Chen Fei!”

”You... assassin... No, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Po Rong reflexively froze. A flicker of realization flashed through his fleshy, squeezed eyes before he began shaking his head frantically, loudly denying everything.

However, Chen Fei had already noticed the subtle change in his expression. With an irrefutable smile, his face suddenly turned cold. ”I don’t particularly enjoy torturing people for information, but since you’re so eager to die, don’t blame me for being impolite. Don’t worry. You’ll be telling me everything yourself very soon. I guarantee it!”

”No, no... I’m an elder of Dongxing, one of the seven great managers! You can’t frame me! What are you all standing around for— Ahh!” Seeing Chen Fei approach him again, Po Rong’s face went white with fear, but he still forced himself to scream and shout, adamantly denying he knew anything.

”Ah! No, don’t... AHHH!”

Then, Chen Fei lightly tapped a finger on his head. Po Rong suddenly felt as if a million, ten million ants were crawling all over him, their sharp mandibles nibbling away at his flesh and gnawing through his bones. The pain was hellish, an agony carved into his very soul. He let out a hideous scream that seemed to pierce the heavens.

”My God...”

Everyone present witnessed the instantaneous transformation. Po Rong, who had been loudly denying everything just a second ago, was now rolling on the ground as if possessed, his face contorted as he frantically clawed at his own skin.

In just a few moments, the floor beneath him was completely soaked in blood. Po Rong’s clothes and skin were torn to ribbons, revealing a crisscrossing mesh of innumerable, hideous wounds, all self-inflicted by his own fingers. The nails on all ten of his fingers had been ripped clean off, and blood gushed out freely. Witnessing this hellish scene made everyone’s skin crawl and their hair stand on end.

What... what in God’s name was that?

They had only seen the young man lightly tap Po Rong on the head, and the latter had started screaming like a madman, his fingers tearing relentlessly at his body as if he were possessed by a demon or experiencing some unimaginable torment.

In reality, the scene had unfolded in only a brief moment. But it was so horrifying, so scalp-numbingly terrifying, that it gave them the illusion that time was dragging on, as if Po Rong had already endured an eternity of torture.

”Spare me! I’ll talk! I’ll tell you everything! I beg you, spare me!!!” The next moment, Po Rong seemed to completely break. He rolled to Chen Fei’s feet, howling wretchedly. His miserable cries made everyone’s face turn pale, their limbs grow cold, and their hearts pound in their chests.

”You broke already? I thought you’d last a bit longer. Speak. I’m not a patient man. Who wanted me dead, and who made the move?”

A mocking smile curled Chen Fei’s lips. He casually flicked his hand in the Void. It was as if Po Rong had been pulled back from the depths of hell. His corpulent body went limp on the floor as if all the water had been drained from it. Blood was still flowing from his wounds, but he seemed numb to it, his eyes filled with nothing but infinite terror and trembling.

Seeing this, the fear in the onlookers’ eyes deepened. Their limbs felt like ice, and their bodies trembled uncontrollably as they stared at Chen Fei with utter dread.

In that instant, the entire hall fell into a deathly silence, broken only by the groans of the pain-wracked and exhausted Po Rong on the floor.

With just two casual taps from the young man, they had witnessed Po Rong suffer torment worthy of hell itself. What did that mean? Everyone present understood it all too well.

Could... could it be? Do Immortals, actual gods, really exist in this world?

”I always thought I had a pretty good temper, but there’s always some blind fool who insists on provoking me. Speak up. Who was behind the plot to kill me, and who carried it out?” Chen Fei ignored them, his gaze fixed impassively on the limp form of Po Rong. To the man on the floor, that gaze was more terrifying than any devil from hell.

”It was Tiger Leopard Hall from the mainland,” Po Rong blurted out, his voice shaking with fear, no longer daring to hide a single thing. ”Last night, one of their ten leaders, the fourth in command, called me personally and asked for my cooperation. They wanted to kill someone in Hong Kong. The assassin was supposed to be Black Shark, ranked thirty-seventh on the world assassin list. Two of my underlings helped with the operation. That’s all I know. I swear, that’s all I know!”
