Medical Sage

Perhaps the patrolling gang members hadn’t seen the unconscious bodyguard Chen Fei had taken down with a single kick. They must have assumed the guards at the gate had let them pass. Despite their confusion, no one else bothered to interfere. Brother Ximao, trembling all over, led Chen Fei straight toward the private estate’s meeting hall.

”Who are you?”

However, other gang members were standing guard at the entrance to the meeting hall. They certainly didn’t look like ordinary grunts; they were the elite of the elite, dressed in suits and ties with bulging holsters at their waists. They exuded a chilling, murderous aura, their eyes flickering with cold light.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Yet, Chen Fei gave them no chance to speak. He ascended the staircase as if no one else was there, and a terrifying aura erupted from his body, pressing fiercely forward. The gang members shuddered as if they were about to suffocate. In that instant, nearly all of them fell into a trance, their eyes wide with terror as they stood frozen in place.

The next moment, Chen Fei knocked them out cold and then fiercely kicked the meeting room door.

BOOM!

The door, at least two or three meters high, was kicked to pieces by Chen Fei’s blow, creating an earth-shattering noise that startled everyone inside.

”Who is it?” The first to react were naturally the enforcers from the two major gangs stationed just inside the door. In a flash, seven or eight men in black surrounded Chen Fei, their faces stern as they aimed their pistols at his head.

Seeing this, Brother Ximao, who was waiting outside the door, nearly wet his pants in fright. Chen Fei, however, acted as if he saw nothing at all. He simply lowered his head slightly and murmured, ”It seems the thing I hate most is having a gun pointed at me.”

BANG! BANG! BANG!

In the next instant, just as the infuriated bosses and old-timers in the hall were about to give the order to attack, a scene unfolded that left them wide-eyed and made their hearts stop.

With his head still slightly bowed, Chen Fei crouched and then launched himself forward like a cannonball. His fists and feet struck like lightning, blasting away all the gun-wielding gang members. Some landed on the long tables in front of the bosses, the terrible impact shattering the wood beneath them.

Others flew like kites with their strings cut, crashing violently against the side walls of the meeting room. With a muffled thud, the walls caved in and spiderwebbed with cracks, causing a cold sweat to break out on everyone’s foreheads.

My God, who is this monster? He’s so terrifying!

”Young man, I am Gan Zaixi, one of the spokespersons for New Mark. I wonder…” Everyone present was stunned by the scene. The first to recover was a man in his sixties who had been sitting in the first row to the far left. A very noticeable age spot marked his face, and his body was frail and trembling as he slowly stood up to address Chen Fei.

After witnessing the shocking display of brutal force, he dared not underestimate Chen Fei because of his youth. A man of his age and status was naturally aware of those in the black market who possessed Extraordinary Martial Power and the mysterious Ancient Martial Artists from the Inland. Thus, he was extremely cautious and dared not be careless.

”New Mark? I’m not here for you. Is Po Rong here? Which one is he?” Chen Fei, however, had no interest whatsoever in New Mark. He was here for revenge. A frightening glint of light flashed in his cold eyes.

”Po Rong!?”

As Chen Fei spoke, all eyes turned to the first seat on the right side of the long table. There sat a middle-aged man with a greasy face, a fat head, and large ears. He wore a flashy shirt with the top two buttons undone, exposing disgusting chest hair. His appearance was already unpleasant, yet he carried himself with an arrogance that would make anyone frown.

”Are you Po Rong?” Chen Fei asked, frowning as he stared intently at the other man.

This fat pig is Po Rong? The attack on me before... was he involved?

”You, you… What are you all standing around for? Go on, hack him to death! Shoot him!” When Chen Fei first called his name, the fat pig Po Rong panicked. But when he noticed Chen Fei’s momentary hesitation, his face twisted with rage. Full of murderous intent, he roared at the subordinates beside him.

This is a joke. I, Po Rong, am one of the seven spokespersons of Dongxing, and now some unknown enemy has tracked me to my doorstep. If I don’t crush his arrogance and have him killed on the spot, how can I, Po Rong, continue to make a name for myself in Tsim Sha Tsui, in Hong Kong!? Damn it, to think someone would dare to cause trouble for me, Po Rong. He’s really fucking asking for it!

BANG! BANG!

Po Rong’s words had barely faded when two short, black-suited henchmen behind him drew their guns without hesitation. Having seen the example set by the unlucky men now lying on the ground, these goons had seemingly wised up. They realized they couldn’t let Chen Fei strike first, so they simply opened fire, aiming to kill him!

”Hmph!”

However, Chen Fei only sneered in disdain. His body moved with an eerie speed, instantly evading the two bullets. Then, he casually pinched off two splinters of wood from the shattered door and flung them out. A moment later, two dull thuds echoed in the room as the two gunmen’s chests burst into splendid blooms of blood!

That’s right. Chen Fei had killed.

If his opponents had only used their fists, or even knives and axes, he couldn’t be bothered to fuss over such trivial gangsters. However, the incident with the Filipino butler from the Xiao Family had left him with a particular hatred for having a gun pointed at him, let alone fired. Since they were courting death, he was happy to grant their wish.

”He… he actually dodged bullets!?”

Many people in the meeting room felt as if their tongues were tied, left completely stunned as if they were living in a dream.

Those were real guns! To think that someone could actually dodge bullets like those legendary masters from the Martial Forest or superheroes in the movies. The sight was so shocking and astounding that it shattered their entire worldview.

Meanwhile, the small minority who were aware of the existence of people like Chen Fei were incessantly wiping cold sweat from their foreheads, their faces showing utter astonishment. Indeed, they knew that the Hong Kong Black Market and the Ancient Martial Artists from the Inland possessed extraordinary and terrifying martial power. However, they had never imagined that this power could allow someone to dodge bullets at close range. The realization sent a chill down their spines, and they could only steal fearful glances at Chen Fei as if he were a monster.

WHOOSH!

Just when everyone thought the fight might be over, a bald man suddenly charged out from behind the fat pig, Po Rong. His face was ferocious as he lunged forward, brandishing a three-edged military spike. The tip of the spike shimmered with a green glint.

Clearly, this bald man was no match for the previous cannon fodder. He was another man who had truly been forged in a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. While he wasn’t as formidable as Axe Jun, he was still incredibly sharp and frightening, exuding a profound, bloody aura.

At the very least, he possessed strength comparable to a normal Second Rate Ancient Martial Expert. In an ordinary sparring match, an Ancient Martial Artist might win. But in a life-or-death struggle, this man would likely emerge victorious, because his unstoppable killing aura was enough to influence many things.

Even so, his strength was still far too weak in front of Chen Fei. The gap between a Second Rate Expert and a First-Class Master in Ancient Martial Arts was an insurmountable chasm. Moreover, Chen Fei had already reached the Peak of Qi Refining Third Layer, equivalent to the Peak of a First-Class Master—and possibly even stronger!

”If I were you, I wouldn’t throw my life away for a man who’s already dead!”

As the bald man’s military spike lunged, his murderous expression suddenly froze, replaced by horror. He realized his target had vanished.

A moment later, a human-shaped shadow appeared behind him, and an indifferent voice spoke faintly by his ear, sending his heart plunging into an icy abyss.

THUMP! SPLURT!

Chen Fei drove his foot hard into the bald man’s stomach. With a violent shudder, the man sprayed a mouthful of blood, his eyes went lifeless, and his body slumped to the floor, unconscious. This time, Chen Fei had held back from killing him, merely knocking him out.

The entire meeting room fell eerily silent. Almost everyone stared at Chen Fei with shock in their eyes, especially the men from Dongxing. After all, this man had come looking for trouble with Po Rong, their boss and spokesperson.

”Does anyone else want to continue fighting?” Chen Fei asked, his expression impassive as his cold gaze swept over everyone present.

”Friend, since your business today is with Po Rong, it shouldn’t have anything to do with us from New Mark. In that case, we will take our leave now,” the sixty-year-old elder who had spoken first said softly. He shot a look at his underlings, signaling them to leave quickly and not get involved in this mess.

In an instant, nearly half the people in the hall rushed toward the exit in a panic, as if granted amnesty. However, Chen Fei’s next words froze them in their tracks. They stood obediently where they were, not daring to move.

”Wait a moment. Let me finish my business first,” Chen Fei said calmly, causing everyone present to shudder internally.

”Yes, yes, we understand…” The elder from New Mark wiped the sweat from his forehead, shook his head with a bitter smile, and led his men back to their seats to wait for Chen Fei to finish his ”business.”
