Chapter 1548: Chapter 1549: He Really Wants

Xiao Changyi did not say much about his third son riding a horse for fun, but asked with a blank expression, ”What if you fall off?”

An Yiqing immediately said, ”I won’t, Daddy will protect me, he won’t let me fall off!”

Xiao Changyi was quite pleased to hear that, ”Then you must not move around, and I’ll let Zhuri run.”

”Okay, okay.” An Yiqing agreed quickly.

Xiao Changyi first held An Yiqing tighter, then squeezed the horse’s belly, and Zhuri immediately started to run.

”Ahhhhh...” As the horse started running, the scenery on both sides quickly retreated, the wind whipped past his face and ears, and An Yiqing was so excited that he screamed out loud.

If it wasn’t for Xiao Changyi holding him tightly, forcing him to sit obediently on the horseback, he would have wanted to stand up on the horse in excitement to enjoy this thrilling feeling.

Seeing Xiao Changyi making Zhuri run and An Yiqing being particularly happy, An Jing lowered her head to ask the child sitting in front of her, ”Jing’er, should we run too?”

Su Yi Jing immediately turned to look at An Jing, his small eyes sparkling brightly. Obviously, he really wanted the horse to run.

Seeing Su Yi Jing’s appearance, An Jing naturally wanted to satisfy this son, so she squeezed the horse’s belly, and Moon Stepping immediately started to run.

An Jing and Xiao Changyi rode their horses around the horseback archery field a few times before stopping, then helped Su Yi Jing and An Yiqing off, and they each took An Yiyun and Su Yixing for a ride around the field a few more times.

The children could never get enough of it, but An Jing and Xiao Changyi didn’t let them ride continuously.

As it approached noon, An Jing and Xiao Changyi took the four children back to the main courtyard, washed their hands as a family of six, and then sat at the table, planning to have lunch.

Just as they started eating, Ye Zhi returned, and with her, Gong Juechen also came back.

As soon as Gong Juechen saw An Jing and Xiao Changyi, he happily exclaimed, ”Jingjing, Changyi, Zhizhi and I have set the date, it’s the twenty-second of next January, that day is an auspicious day, the master said it’s suitable for weddings, so Zhizhi and I decided to get married on that day.”

”Congratulations, you’re finally going to win the beauty over.” After saying this, An Jing asked someone to add two more sets of tableware, inviting Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi to join them for lunch.

The maidservants were smart, not only added tableware but also brought water and towels for Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi to wash their hands.

While washing his hands, Gong Juechen said with a smile, ”There’s still more than a month to go. It would be better if we could get married tomorrow, but unfortunately, the master said the whole next month is not suitable for marriage, the earliest is that day next year, so we had to settle for that day.”

With Gong Juechen talking, Ye Zhi felt at ease to be involved in the conversation. Without saying anything, once she finished washing her hands and took a seat, she picked up her chopsticks to eat.

Once Gong Juechen finished washing his hands, he sat down next to Ye Zhi and also picked up his chopsticks, but the first thing he did was to pick a big crab for Ye Zhi.

Ye Zhi didn’t want to eat the crab due to the hassle.

Gong Juechen then moved the big crab to his plate, picked out the crab meat and roe, and gave them to Ye Zhi.

Ye Zhi happily dipped the crab meat and roe in sauce and ate them.

Seeing Ye Zhi enjoying it, Gong Juechen picked out two more big crabs, extracted the meat and roe, and gave them to Ye Zhi again.

Ye Zhi didn’t hold back and ate them all. After finishing, she stopped Gong Juechen, ”You eat your meal.”

Only then did Gong Juechen start eating his own meal.
