Chapter 1503: Chapter 1504: An Jing Becomes a Sniper

An Jing laughed when she heard about the sniper rifle: ”Your hands have been itching for a long time, haven’t they? Alright, I’ll let you use the sniper rifle. This battle is a tough one. If you can take down a key leader, causing the enemy soldiers to lose their head and become panic-stricken, it will be very advantageous for our attack.”

Ye Zhi replied, ”Although I’m itching to do it, you should take on the sniper task. I haven’t handled a sniper rifle for a long time, and my hands feel a bit rusty. Moreover, I think that after you’ve sniped a key leader on one tower, you can ride to snipe other leaders on different towers. Moon Stepping runs fast, and my horse can’t compare. All things considered, this sniper task is more suitable for you.”

Here, only the two of them knew how to use a sniper rifle.

Taking everything into account, she genuinely felt that An Jing, the boss, was more suited to be the sniper than she was.

An Jing thought about it and agreed, so she did not refuse and laughed, ”Then when I run out of your sniper rifle bullets, don’t blame me.”

Ye Zhi also laughed, ”Why would I blame you? If you can shoot all the enemy leaders dead, I will have nothing but admiration for you.”

The two teased each other for a while, then An Jing turned serious, ”Now all four gates of the Imperial City of Chilin are sealed shut, no one goes in or out. We can’t sneak people in, and we don’t know the situation inside. Moreover, the moat surrounding the Imperial City makes attacking extremely difficult.”

The Imperial City of Chilin is surrounded by a 20-meter wide moat, crossing it is a very difficult task. If there are people on the towers shooting arrows at them, they would suffer heavy losses.

Ye Zhi immediately chimed in, ”That’s why you need to hit the enemy leaders so they lose their coordination, allowing us to cross the river and attack the city.”

Xiao Changyi said, ”When the time comes, we will lure the enemy leaders to the towers, then you can snipe them.”

Having witnessed his wife’s sniping skills firsthand, he had great confidence in her ability to take down enemy leaders.

Ye Zhi immediately echoed, ”Brother-in-law is right. When the time comes, we’ll feign an attack on the city. The highest-ranking enemy leaders will definitely climb the towers to see what we’re up to. That’s when you, boss, will take aim and shoot him dead. This way, leaderless and disorganized, the enemy will give us the perfect opportunity.”

An Jing chuckled, ”You always make it sound so easy.”

Ye Zhi just laughed twice.

Xiao Changyi pondered for a moment before saying to An Jing, ”When the time comes, I, Qiao Shouye, Qi Tengfei, and Liu Buli will each lead people to simultaneously feign attacks on the east, south, west, and north gates. The generals in charge of each gate should be drawn up to the towers. That’s when you’ll snipe. First, take down the general at the East Gate, causing confusion among the soldiers there, and I’ll lead the attack on the East Gate first. Even if the generals at the other gates get the news, since there are attacks at their gates too, they won’t rashly send reinforcements.”

”Once you’ve ridden to snipe the general at the South Gate, Qiao Shouye will lead the attack on the South Gate;”

”Once you’ve sniped the general at the West Gate, Qi Tengfei will launch a real attack on the West Gate;”

”Once you’ve sniped the general at the North Gate, then Liu Buli will actually start the attack.”

Hearing this, before An Jing could speak, Ye Zhi laughed, ”Brother-in-law, have you decided on a direct assault?”

Xiao Changyi nodded, ”Let’s try a direct assault first. If we can’t take it down this way, we’ll think of another way.”

We can’t just do nothing and sit here waiting against the Emperor of Chilin, can we?
