Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1523: Chapter 1524: He Trusts Neither Heaven, Nor Earth, Nor Himself

”Zhizhi, such a big thing, you better not be lying to me...” Gong Juechen was too delighted, he actually felt unreal, like dreaming.

Ye Zhi replied: ”If you don’t believe it, forget it, anyway I don’t really want to marry you.”

Gong Juechen immediately said: ”I believe, I believe! Let’s hold the wedding ceremony right now!”

Ye Zhi instantly squinted: ”Even though I’m not that big on formalities, isn’t it too much to not even give me a decent wedding? It’s a once in a lifetime event, I can’t get married so casually.”

”It’s not that I don’t want to give you a decent wedding, it’s just that I want to quickly become a couple with you. What if you regret it later? I’m reluctant to hit you and scold you...” the more Gong Juechen spoke, the smaller his voice became.

Ye Zhi listened, her heart warmed, saying: ”I won’t regret it, once we return to the Capital, we’ll get married.”

”That works too, but I’m still a bit worried, I’ve finally waited for you to agree to marry me. Otherwise, how about you kiss me on the lips once, to reassure me a bit?”

”...Do you believe I’ll slap you?”

”Zhizhi...” Gong Juechen was particularly plaintive, ”If you don’t immediately fall to worship heaven and earth with me, I really won’t be at ease...”

Ye Zhi thought kissing once wasn’t a big deal, so she really leaned over and kissed Gong Juechen on the lips. After kissing, Ye Zhi’s face turned red, but she spoke dominantly: ”Feel assured now, huh!”

”Assured, assured.” Gong Juechen was elated. With a ”woah—” sound, he pounced on Ye Zhi, knocking her down, he started nibbling at Ye Zhi’s mouth.

”Hey, what are you doing?” Ye Zhi pushed Gong Juechen away with great effort, once pushed away, she even wiped her mouth with her sleeve, ”Are you a dog, actually nibbling me!”

”...Obviously, I just kissed you.” His voice was nearly inaudible.

Ye Zhi was stunned at first, then her face turned even redder, but she laughed heartily: ”Even though you’re always saying colorful things, you can’t even kiss right, hahaha—”

Gong Juechen saw Ye Zhi like this and felt no embarrassment, laughing wickedly: ”Since I can’t do it, why don’t you teach me?”

He was too excited just now, didn’t know how to start for a moment, hence went too hard. Previously, he kissed her many times while she was asleep, even if he couldn’t, he practiced.

”You, get lost!” Ye Zhi pushed his face away firmly. ”Quickly tell me, why did your master ask you to hide your Martial Arts skills?”

Gong Juechen looked wistful: ”Zhizhi, did you agree to marry me for this reason, isn’t it too big a sacrifice?”

”If you don’t want to marry, we can choose not to.”

”Who says so! I dream of us getting married! Okay, okay, I won’t say this anymore, I’ll confess to you truthfully, anyway, we’ll soon be husband and wife, it’s nothing to be honest with you.”

”Then go ahead and say it!” Ye Zhi felt like her future husband’s nonsense was truly a bit much.

”My master said, people’s hearts are dangerous, and instructed me not to be too outstandingly exposed. He wants Se Se to hide her skills like me, but Se Se’s personality, she can’t hide it.”

”Really?” Ye Zhi always felt these words were false.

”Of course it’s true! I swear!” Gong Juechen really raised three fingers to swear.

Though he said it like this and acted, Gong Juechen didn’t trust heaven or earth, he didn’t even trust himself.
