Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1539: Chapter 1540: What is going on now?

But Su Yixing said happily, ”Mom, Big Brother is really amazing. Every time Third Brother goes to sleep, Big Brother pries his eyes open, tickles him, makes him count sheep, gets him up to do homework, recite stuff, practice sword fighting, practicing horse stance... just all sorts of things. Every time, Big Brother torments Third Brother so much he can’t sleep at night, and the next day he’s so tired he can hardly stay awake. One time, Third Brother was clearly walking to the Upper Study Room for school, but he had fallen asleep. We called him but he couldn’t hear us and almost bumped into a pillar, haha.”

An Jing broke into a sweat. She really hadn’t noticed that her eldest son had so many ways to ’handle’ her third son.

Xiao Changyi hadn’t noticed either.

However, there was a slight smile in Xiao Changyi’s cold eyes, showing that he was quite pleased that Su Yijing could keep An Yiqing in line.

Su Yixing continued, ”What’s more amazing about Big Brother is not just how he handles Third Brother, but even though both he and Third Brother don’t sleep all night, the next day Third Brother is dead tired and can fall asleep while walking, but Big Brother goes about his day as if nothing happened, doing everything he’s supposed to do.”

Hearing Su Yixing’s words, both An Jing and Xiao Changyi could only think: their eldest son was so full of energy!

”Dad, Mom, can you let me sleep with you?” An Yiqing pleaded. ”They will squash me tonight, I’m most afraid of not sleeping well. If I don’t sleep well, I won’t be energetic for several days.”

An Jing burst out laughing: ”So every time Big Brother sorts you out you’re too drained to misbehave?”

An Yiqing immediately pouted in dissatisfaction, ”Big Brother bullies me like this, and you don’t even help me, Mom; instead, you say it’s my fault.”

”Your big brother isn’t bullying you. He’s teaching you not to be so mischievous. But you don’t change even after being told repeatedly; how are you so naughty?” An Jing really sighed, ”Look at your two older brothers and your younger brother, who’s as naughty as you? Don’t pout; it’s your problem to begin with. If you weren’t mischievous, would your big brother deal with you this way? No more being naughty, understand?”

”Yeah, yeah, I got it.” An Yiqing answered very readily.

An Jing was both amused and annoyed. She knew all too well that although her third son promised on the surface, he would continue being mischievous. After all, he was her own child, and she understood her third son’s temperament quite well.

”Then Mom,” An Yiqing said with a cheeky smile, ”does this mean I can sleep with you and Dad tonight?”

An Jing was helplessly amused but still responded, ”You all can sleep with Dad and Mom for the next few days.”

Hearing this, An Yiqing was overjoyed and gleefully made a face at Jing, Xing, and Yun, ”Mom said we’ll all sleep with her and Dad for the next few days, so you can’t squash me tonight.”

An Jing was even more helplessly amused: ”If you keep it up, Mom might regret it and not let you sleep with Dad and Mom.”

”Please don’t, Mom!” An Yiqing immediately behaved. ”I won’t bother Big Brother, Second Brother, and Fourth Brother anymore.”

Seeing her son An Yiqing, An Jing showed a small, yet helpless, sigh. Then, she turned to Su Yijing, ”Jing’er, you are the eldest brother. If he gets naughty again, feel free to handle him, even in front of Dad and Mom.”

Upon hearing this, An Yiqing almost cried. He always thought Dad and Mom would protect him a little, but now, what’s going on?

There was no expression on Su Yijing’s small face, but he nodded his little head and answered with particular steadiness: ”Alright.”
