Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1547: Chapter 1548 You Just Want to Play

After exchanging a smile and glance with Xiao Changyi, An Jing agreed, saying she would join Xiao Changyi in taking them horse riding.

With one more person to take them horse riding, the four children were even happier.

Once the family of six returned to the main courtyard, as Su Chengyu said, it hadn’t been changed at all. An Jing and Xiao Changyi led the four children into the house with familiarity.

Upon entering the house, Xiao Changyi instructed Meng Zhuqing to find someone to craft a set of armor for Su Yi Jing.

Xiao Changyi specifically mentioned the helmet, asking for it to be made as lightweight as possible. He had promised this to his eldest son, but didn’t want his son to wear it and hurt his neck.

Meng Zhuqing immediately went to take care of it.

Su Yi Jing tightly hugged Xiao Changyi’s leg, looking up with his small face, unusually not just smiling, but beaming happily.

Seeing his eldest son so happy made Xiao Changyi happy as well, though his expression remained unchanged. He gently rubbed Su Yi Jing’s little head with his hand.

Watching her eldest son and husband, a smile spread across An Jing’s face. Of the four children, her eldest son was the most like her husband, whether in appearance or personality.

An Yiqing wandered around the room for a bit, finding nothing interesting, then ran back, holding Xiao Changyi and An Jing’s hands, shouting: ”Riding a horse, Dad, Mom, riding a horse, riding a horse.”

An Jing couldn’t help but laugh: ”You don’t really want to ride a horse, you just want to play.”

An Yiqing grinned cheekily, ”Horse riding is fun.”

An Jing was genuinely helpless with her child, ”Alright then, since Dad and Mom have nothing else to do, we’ll take you horse riding.”

The four children cheered immediately.

The horseback archery range was quite large, An Jing stood beside Moon Stepping, while Xiao Changyi stood beside Zhuri.

The four children discussed among themselves, sticking to their original teams: Su Yi Jing and Su Yixing with Xiao Changyi, An Yiqing and An Yiyun with An Jing.

But Xiao Changyi disagreed.

Thinking An Yiqing was too mischievous and might act up while riding, Xiao Changyi decided Su Yi Jing should join An Jing, while An Yiqing should stay with him.

Among the four children, An Yiqing was the most mischievous. The next mischievous one would surely be Su Yixing.

With the first and second mischievous ones by Xiao Changyi’s side, An Jing felt much more at ease.

She was genuinely worried that if she took them riding, An Yiqing and Su Yixing might misbehave, and she might not be able to control it, leading to them falling off.

An Jing asked An Yiyun to wait as she first took Su Yi Jing for a ride, then she would take him.

An Yiyun obediently waited.

Xiao Changyi asked An Yiqing to wait too, as he first took Su Yixing for a ride, but An Yiqing was unwilling to wait, insisting on going first. Su Yixing, being the older brother, seeing An Yiqing’s persistence, didn’t even wait for Xiao Changyi to speak and voluntarily suggested letting Xiao Changyi take An Yiqing for a ride first.

Xiao Changyi was quite pleased with how Su Yixing yielded to An Yiqing, thinking Su Yixing really showed the qualities of an older brother.

Once An Yiqing was let by his second brother to go first with Xiao Changyi for a ride, he couldn’t have been happier: ”Second brother, thanks! If I see something good, I’ll tell you, so you can ask for it.”

Xiao Changyi: ”...”

An Jing: ”...”

Su Yixing was also incredibly happy: ”Mhmm, mhmm, you must tell me so that I can get it.”

Xiao Changyi: ”...”

An Jing: ”...”

For safety’s sake, Xiao Changyi had An Yiqing sit in front of him, and even had Zhuri walk especially slowly. But An Yiqing, seeing Zhuri just walking, began to fuss again: ”Dad, let’s run, let’s run. It’s no fun if we don’t run.”
