Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: The Pinnacle of Curves

Zhang Zhe quickly went through the materials Boss He had given him, and he even gained some insights of his own.

The person who had compiled the materials also included some notes, which were very well-written:

Objectifying a person is, in principle, a bad thing. But for people on the matchmaking market, almost no one objects to having their family background or physical appearance scored.

For one, a score is the most direct and transparent piece of information, increasing the efficiency of communication.

For another, the very act of assigning and accepting a score is a filtering process in itself.

For example, if a female client comes in claiming to be a 6-out-of-10 beauty, the cream of the crop among average people, but her no-makeup photo reveals she’s actually a 3.5, then you know this person has no self-awareness whatsoever.

Against this backdrop of scoring, the most important job for the Matchmakers at the Zhuyin Marriage Agency was to verify information and provide an objective, third-party score.

Then, they analyze potential factors that could add or subtract points.

Finally, they help match the client with a suitable partner.

Zhang Zhe skipped the last step entirely.

He didn’t need to find a match—he *was* the match.

And with his system to help, the information verification step was also a breeze.

The hardest part now, surprisingly, was scoring people objectively...

...which Zhang Zhe suddenly realized wasn’t difficult at all.

After composing himself, at around eleven in the morning on the first day of July, the ”Qing City Zhuyin Marriage Agency” channel started its livestream.

Thanks to the platform’s recommendation algorithm, the stream already had six viewers just two minutes after going live.

And they were all real people.

They were already posting comments in the chat:

[Is the streamer a new Matchmaker?]

”That’s right, I’m a Matchmaker. But I’m also here to find a date myself. I genuinely want to find a partner, and at the same time, I want to use my extensive dating experience to help the women in this stream find partners of their own.”

[A guy this handsome doesn’t have a partner? You must be super picky.]

”I’m not picky at all. When it comes to dating, it’s mainly about fate, you know?”

”If anyone in the stream has a relative who’s looking to get married, feel free to recommend them to me. I’ll be here in the stream all day, looking for a date online.”

[Too bad I’m already fifty, otherwise I’d definitely give it a shot.]

”Fifty is a bit on the older side, yeah. I just turned thirty.”

”How about you come on and give it a try, Ma’am? Are you looking for a partner for your golden years? You can pretend I’m the man you’re looking for, and I can help you analyze your prospects.”

[This streamer is getting desperate.]

Hearing Zhang Zhe ask a fifty-year-old woman to join the call, Boss He chuckled from her office on the second floor.

She of course had to see how the new guy, Xiaozhang, handled a livestream.

When she heard Zhang Zhe say that he wanted to find a wife for himself while also working as a Matchmaker, a great weight was finally lifted from Boss He’s mind.

’So that’s his reason!’

That reason sounded far more plausible than ”I just like to work for free.”

She couldn’t rule out the possibility that it was just something Zhang Zhe was saying for show, but regardless, Boss He chose to believe him.

Seeing that the stream had few viewers, she took the initiative to send out a 100-yuan ”lucky pouch” to help boost its popularity.

The rest was up to Zhang Zhe’s own abilities.

...

In the stream, Zhang Zhe was like Jiang Ziya, waiting silently.

He hadn’t gotten any call requests, but he did get a lucky pouch from the puppet master behind the scenes. The stream was instantly flooded with several hundred people.

Realizing his boss had stepped in, Zhang Zhe quickly decided to strike while the iron was hot.

He once again explained what he was doing.

The primary service: free matchmaking via voice call.

There were two secondary services:

Service A: Go on a date directly with the streamer.

Zhang Zhe’s personal stats were already posted for everyone to see: Family status A7, appearance score 4, bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university, and a monthly salary of 30,000.

Service B: Act as a simulated dating partner.

”You can treat the streamer as your virtual date. Make any requests you want, and based on the information you provide, the streamer will analyze your chances from a professional male perspective.”

[Is he really trying to find a date for himself?]

[The streamer isn’t even married and he’s trying to help other people find dates?]

[He never said he was single. A guy that handsome was probably snatched up young.]

[This stream is pretty interesting. Too bad I’m already in a relationship.]

Zhang Zhe watched the comments scroll by. Some were roasting him, some were questioning him, and others were just spamming ”check-in” to increase their odds of winning the lucky pouch.

Finally, after five minutes, someone requested to join the call.

”Heeey~ hello, streamer.”

The voice was a ”Little Clamp”—high-pitched and deliberately cutesy. Zhang Zhe glanced at her username: ”Xiaolizi Doesn’t Want to Be Angry Anymore.”

Usually, people with ”Little [Something]” in their name liked to act cute even if they weren’t, which fit perfectly with that ”clamp” voice.

”Hello there.”

”Are you here for Service A or Service B?”

”I’ll take Service B.”

”What’s that supposed to mean? You’re not interested in me? Or do you think you’re not good enough for me?”

[Hahaha, the streamer’s hilarious.]

[I knew he was going to pull something like this.]

[So from now on, everyone who picks B just isn’t into the streamer.]

[That’s a clever move.]

”No, no,” Xiaolizi said quickly. ”It’s just a matter of preference, I guess. I like the ’daddy’ type. I want to find a guy who will spoil me like his own daughter.”

”You just don’t seem like that type.”

”Okay, I’m definitely not sugar daddy material.” Zhang Zhe nodded, opened a notepad, and jotted down the requirement: ”daddy-type boyfriend.”

Every requirement the woman mentioned was now part of his own persona.

This virtual persona would be fleshed out, bit by bit, in this very notepad.

”First, give me your personal information so I can get a general idea of what we’re working with.”

Zhang Zhe picked up a registration form, which listed the information the agency recommended gathering.

”What is your age?”

”I was born in ’99.”

”So you’re 26.” Zhang Zhe made a quick note. ”Height and weight?”

”I’m 160 cm, and my weight is... slightly chubby.” Xiaolizi’s voice dropped an octave, whether from embarrassment or a lack of confidence, it was hard to tell. ”I have one of those top-tier ’innocent but sexy’ type bodies, with legs like a manga character.”

[For real?]

[A little chubby can be prime, but I have my doubts about this woman.]

[I don’t believe it. Turn on your cam or it didn’t happen.]

”I don’t believe it either... Wait, why did I say ’either’?”

”Anyway, would you mind turning on your camera?” Zhang Zhe asked, a little hopefully.

”It’s not really convenient. I haven’t even gotten out of bed yet.”

”Alright.” Zhang Zhe glanced at the time. ’It’s almost noon, she’s still in bed, and it’s a Wednesday. This girl’s situation is a bit complicated.’

Just then, a familiar yellow exclamation mark popped up.

The sight of it instantly put Zhang Zhe at ease.

It meant that even when he chose Service B and acted as a virtual dating partner for the girl on the call, the system still recognized it as him going on a date.

’That made sense, when you thought about it.’ After all, Zhang Zhe had a system; his future potential was immense.

If he took a liking to a girl, even if she wanted to marry some A12-level tycoon, it wasn’t impossible for Zhang Zhe with his system’s support.

So, in a way, he really was the one on a date.

By comparison, the system’s intel seemed less important:

[Medium-Value Intel]

[Today’s dating partner, Sun Jia, is 157cm tall and weighs 130 jin (65 kg). She is a chubby girl who graduated four years ago but has never found a job, and has been mooching off her parents at home.]

This damn system intel instantly shattered the beautiful image in Zhang Zhe’s mind.

The image had been all ”innocent-but-sexy manga style.”

Now, all he could picture was the Potato Mine from *Plants vs. Zombies*.
