Pillar of Yita

They encountered numerous combats in this place; going out might mean encountering them again.

And right now, he can only rely on himself—

...

Below the tower, a group of arcanists were looking up at the enormous black shadow in mid-air, slowly passing overhead.

Watching this scene, everyone felt some indescribable sentiment in their hearts—it was their airship, after all, yet at this moment, they had to destroy it with their own hands. In fact, even for the ’Eye of Revelation’, this level of airship was an expensive luxury, a gift from the King of Sand, as the arcanists alone could hardly afford such a grand ship.

However, compared to the value of the airship itself, the items on it were evidently far more important. In comparison, they had no choice but to take this desperate measure.

Long before those ’thugs’ demanded to board the ship, they had already delayed time, making all comprehensive arrangements on Dawood, and now it was time for these preparations to come into play.

”Dawood has ascended!”

The sandstorm grew stronger and stronger, the howling wind seemed to drown everything between heaven and earth, making voices sound more indistinct within.

Yet gathered under the tower, the group of arcanists still understood the meaning of their distant colleague’s waving gestures. After all, the airship was right in the sky, everyone could see it, they naturally understood this without needing a message to be delivered from below.

As for the insistence of their colleague to run down the tower to notify them of this, everyone could only comprehend it as their colleague having too much leisure. Nobody doubted, and upon seeing this, everyone immediately headed towards below the tower—there inside the temporarily cleared hall, stood a giant crystal at the center.

And several arcanists surrounded the crystal, casting their eyes on the people walking in from outside.

”Dawood has ascended.”

The person who entered repeated the words to the crowd inside.

The highest-ranked arcanist standing beside the crystal was slightly taken aback, and promptly asked: ”And the Bain Knights?”

”They can’t catch up anymore.”

”Then shall we execute the plan?”

”Activate the self-destruct crystal, the items on Dawood must not be allowed to flow out.” The newcomer nodded.

As the arcanist was preparing to turn and issue orders to his colleagues surrounding the crystal, at that exact moment, a sudden exclamation echoed from outside the hall:

”Wait.”

The voice came closer from a distance, and as the crowd turned their heads, they saw someone at the entrance pointing towards the direction of the tower, shouting: ”Someone’s coming down, they seem to have something urgent.” At that moment, an arcanist was hurriedly rushing down from the tower, tumbling and crawling, then frantically dashed into the sandstorm.

The person laboriously ran over and climbed the steps outside the hall, where the gatekeeper immediately rushed over to support him upright. But without resting, he lifted his head and breathlessly shouted to them: ”Stop, hold on a second.”

Inside the hall, everyone was slightly stunned.

”What’s going on?” The leading arcanist immediately asked.

The person coming down from the tower opened his mouth wide, took a heavy breath first, and then stutteringly said: ”A-Affia is up there.”

”What!? ”

Suddenly, the hall fell silent.

For a brief moment, everyone seemed a bit at a loss, then murmuring debates arose:

”How did Miss Afeifa get on Dawood?”

”What’s happening with those up there?”

”Didn’t Amonra say they had another plan?”

The crowd discussed fervently, but only the leading arcanist exchanged a glance with his colleague, caught off guard, couldn’t help but ask: ”What do we do now?”

The latter also wore a troubled expression, stayed silent for quite a while before finally answering: ”Carry on as instructed... After all... the prince is more important.”

After speaking, both couldn’t help but fall into silence together.
