Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong checked his watch, calculating the time—it was, of course, Luo Hao’s pocket watch; his own had been dismantled in prison and was yet to be reassembled. At this moment, another quarter-hour had passed since the breakthrough battle. No matter how slow the other side’s reaction was, they should have received the news. They were likely redeploying their forces and weaving a new encirclement in this direction.

Then they would keep narrowing the circle until they trapped them completely.

Without knowing the exact location of the opponent, this was undoubtedly the most effective method.

But the premise was that their encirclement was built on the correct information.

Since he had scouted this area once before, he knew from the outset where the patrolling guards were and where the security forces were located. He had deliberately arranged the sequence of several skirmishes earlier, giving the opponent an ’illusion’, making them think that their group was heading in a certain direction.

But as for whether it was truly so.

Only heaven knows.

Fang Hong banged open the warehouse door; this time, he didn’t need to trouble Miss Fang Nini. A single sword strike from the Energy Angel severed the lock. After the chain clattered to the ground, the door swung open, but Fang Hong’s first glance was not at their ’equipment,’ but at the boxes in the corner of the warehouse.

Although he knew these items were unlikely to be moved, he breathed a sigh of relief seeing them intact in their place.

They were going to hit it big.

Although he knew he hadn’t escaped the danger, and could fall back into an encirclement at any moment, seeing this scene, Fang Hong couldn’t help but feel a little excited—this box of gold coins alone was worth nearly a million Lycel, and that was just counting the gold coins, not the value of other jewels.

If they could take away these seven or eight boxes, wouldn’t that be a near ten million asset?

A ten million asset might not mean much to the Grand Guild, just enough for the investment to arm a core travel group member—of course, such an investment could be reutilized most of the time. But to Fang Hong, simply put, he’d never seen so much money in his life.

The Seven Seas Traveler, even without the Heart of Fairy, couldn’t be worth as much as this pile of boxes right now.

These seven or eight dark boxes were like a complete Seven Seas Traveler, quietly lying before Fang Hong.

For a moment, he forgot about the danger, turning to Wu Xiaopang and Luo Hao, saying, ”Let the others get their equipment. They can take other things too, but nothing that hinders our actions, as we still need to continue breaking through.”

After several battles, Fang Hong had now established absolute authority within the Shield of Lufu team. In fact, there was no need for ZXC and Wu Xiaopang to convey his words; everyone naturally treated it as an order, as if their leader wasn’t Wu Xiaopang but Fang Hong.

Even Little Fatty himself hadn’t realized it yet.

Fang Hong beckoned him over, ”ZXC, Wu Xiaopang, Luo Hao, come with me.”

”What for, big boss?” Wu Xiaopang was puzzled.

Fang Hong didn’t say much, directly leading them over and flipping open several boxes.

A dazzling golden light shone, freezing the three as if they had been petrified on the spot.

Wu Xiaopang’s mouth hung open, staring blankly at the boxes of gold coins, and stiffly turned around, ”B-boss, this is...?” He finally understood why the big boss had told him those words earlier—it was all foreshadowed here. But he couldn’t fathom why the big boss was asking him such a common-sense question.

Seeing his expression, Fang Hong roughly guessed what was on his mind and coughed awkwardly. What could he do? His system wasn’t like theirs, being a latecomer, and he never had the habit of digitizing money—in fact, he remained the same to this day.

Miss Atira occasionally gave him some pocket money, and he always kept the coins in his pocket rather than in some informational space, as if not doing so would make him feel the money didn’t exist.

Fang Hong quietly took out a handful of money from his pocket, placed it in the box, and then pulled out another handful from the other pocket, repeating the action.

Wu Xiaopang watched this, thinking for a moment that the boss was performing some mysterious ritual. But Fang Hong was too embarrassed to mention his previous stupidity, and after setting the money, he told Wu Xiaopang and the group:

”Wu Xiaopang, ZXC, we split this money in half.”

”What!?” Wu Xiaopang was shocked.

Before merging their tasks, they had an oral agreement regarding the division of spoils in the upcoming adventure. The Seven Seas Travel Group took eighty percent, and the Shield of Lufu took twenty percent, but that agreement only lasted until the mission at the smugglers’ secret base ended, so their agreement had long expired.

And now, Fang Hong had saved them again without asking them for money, embodying ’internationalism’, how could they even think about splitting the spoils equally?

Wu Xiaopang thought he wasn’t the kind to forget kindness, resolutely shaking his head, and when he looked at ZXC beside him, it was clear the latter shared his sentiment.

But Fang Hong interrupted them, saying,

”Don’t rush to refuse. This money isn’t just given to you for free. If you consider our current breakout as an adventure, you’ll naturally need to share the same responsibility in this adventure to be worthy of such a reward.”

Then he paused for a moment.

”I previously told you that once we occupy this warehouse and retrieve the equipment, I would tell you the second step of the plan. This plan is extremely risky, and I need everyone to cooperate fully, so it’s time to tell you now.”

Wu Xiaopang and ZXC listened, looking a bit bewildered at him.
