Pillar of Yita

”Don’t bother looking, these are the scrolls.” Fang Hong noticed his confusion and directly replied. These scrolls that were prepared back then were never used due to the Arcanists. After the Arcanists searched them and found these scrolls, they certainly didn’t leave them behind for them, but collected them all.

These things, naturally together with their equipment, were placed in that warehouse. During his first infiltration, he had already considered that these items might come in handy, and they didn’t take up much space, so he decided to carry them with him.

As long as the Fixed-Point Teleportation Scrolls haven’t been used before, their coordinates can be altered, and only after being used once do these scrolls become completely invalid. And the current environment is the perfect occasion for these scrolls to be utilized. He used the Energy Angel to teleport himself first to record the coordinates there with these scrolls and then brought them back.

This way, using the transportation ability of the Fixed-Point Teleportation Scroll, it would be easy to teleport other people there as well.

Wu Xiaopang was deeply amazed upon hearing these words, though not because Fang Hong’s plan was so thorough—in reality, as long as one obtained these scrolls, anyone could come up with this idea. The key point is, it seems Fang Hong had already anticipated what might happen next even before rescuing them.

Even though these scrolls belonged to the Shield of Lufu, to be honest, they almost forgot about this matter themselves.

Good thing Fang Hong paid attention to this detail.

No need to say much more; after all, the members of the Shield of Lufu were already familiar with these scrolls. They each picked up a Fixed-Point Teleportation Scroll, and under Fang Hong’s arrangement, they formed groups of two, transforming into a stream of light teleporting across. Led by Xiangzi and Luo Yu, with Luo Hao and himself bringing up the rear, together with the four members from the Shield of Lufu, a group of eight swiftly arrived beneath the city walls behind the tower.

Fang Hong intentionally set the teleportation point at a blind spot beneath the city wall, ensuring that even if a guard suddenly had the irrational idea to patrol the city wall in such weather, they could avoid being detected.

But it turned out no one would be so irrational and the imagined scenario naturally did not occur.

Thus, the group stealthily and silently entered the Inner City area—

Fang Hong’s action was quite risky but also remarkably effective. Even His Excellency the Governor probably wouldn’t have imagined someone would go to such a crazy extent. Walking this near-cliff-like path in such harsh weather—this route was not necessarily safe even on regular days, not to mention under these conditions.

The members of the Shield of Lufu experienced this magical infiltration firsthand, and since arriving in this world, they probably hadn’t encountered anything so eye-opening. Wu Xiaopang, still immersed in a mix of worry and excitement, watched Fang Hong emerge from the teleportation light and approached him, ready to boast a bit.

But as soon as Fang Hong landed, suppressing his slight queasy dizziness, he raised his hand to stop him from speaking.

To say it went unnoticed would be inaccurate.

Fang Hong rubbed his dizzy temples and gestured to everyone—mid-range transportation like the Fixed-Point Teleportation felt noticeably stronger than the Blink of the Energy Angel—then began:

”The Arcanists have filled this castle with surveillance magic. Earlier, when you played hide and seek with the guards, since the guards’ Magic Guided Reactors also emitted magic disturbances, they might not be able to distinguish your positions from friend to foe. But now it’s different; almost only we are moving here. The Arcanists have very likely already detected the magic power fluctuations from the previous teleportation. They realize we have the Fixed-Point Teleportation Scrolls, so they might think of something.”

He paused, lowered his hand, and continued: ”So we must hurry, spare the unnecessary words.”

Someone from the Shield of Lufu expressed surprise and quietly asked: ”Boss, is it so exaggerated?” From the time they escaped the dungeon to now, nearly an hour had passed, and in between fighting wits with the guards, although most did not manage to meet up, those remaining inevitably experienced some survivor bias.

Thinking the opponent wasn’t much to worry about.

They even considered that perhaps it was due to the Shield of Lufu’s actions not being bold enough and that the ways practiced by the Seven Seas Travel Group might be the norm.

But clearly, luck wasn’t the only factor at play in this world; the Seven Seas Travel Group indeed danced on the knife’s edge every time, relying not just on mere fortune. Yet Fang Hong could vaguely understand their thoughts and didn’t intend to explain further, merely nodded. From rescuing the Shield of Lufu onwards, he had gathered sufficient credibility—not enough to let them doubt his words over such a trivial matter.

Moreover, this was just the Inner City, and ahead might be where the City Lord’s daughter lived—everyone felt this was the plan’s final step.

...

Inside a room within the castle—

A plump lady in traditional Istania robe and veil looked in shock at the trembling little maidservant in front, her eyes welling up with tears, glittering, as if she might burst into tears at any moment.
