Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong took a closer look and saw it was none other than Wu Xiaopang.

This guy really has a big fate.

Behind Wu Xiaopang were ZXC and two other members of the Shield of Lufu.

When the little fatty saw Fang Hong, he sighed again: ”Boss, I’m afraid the others won’t be able to make it, but the good news is at least no one was captured. We all escaped into the sandstorm, those who didn’t escape also ended it themselves. In the sandstorm, we lost track of some people again. ZXC and I struggled to find the direction and managed to reach here.”

They agreed to rendezvous here, but Fang Hong had foreseen that not many would truly make it here. After all, the level of the Shield of Lufu people was about the same as the guards here, leading the opponents away and traversing the sandstorm was really too difficult for them.

Those who revived in the Holy Sanctuary mostly couldn’t escape the hands of the arcanists. But under the current weather, it might not be the case. As long as a few escaped, the rest would be safe.

This should be the point the opponents fear the most—

Wu Xiaopang gasped and said: ”Boss, you guessed it right. After you rescued the others, they realized they couldn’t catch us and indeed pulled back. If not for that, we would have struggled to escape. Boss, did they really take Miss Gita as a hostage, waiting for us to come?”

How can one say for sure?

But Fang Hong thought it likely was the case. After the opponents found that playing cat and mouse was fruitless, and perceived their intentions, it made sense they’d use the remaining chip. After comparing information from Miss ’Affia’ and Wu Xiaopang, it was known that among the people captured by the arcanists, aside from Gita, the others had been rescued.

Thus, the only place left for the opponents to exploit was Gita.

A good move.

But they didn’t plan to follow the opponents’ script.

Wu Xiaopang chuckled: ”If those guys really think so, maybe we’ll give them a surprise next. Boss, if they indeed draw all the guards to that place, waiting for us to deliver ourselves into their net, does that mean we can go anywhere unhindered next? Isn’t this hitting two birds with one stone?”

Fang Hong glanced at the fellow, thinking if it were that simple. But the opponents probably wouldn’t use so many people—could over two thousand people set a trap?

But if the arcanists had drawn away enough Hall Guard Knights, it would be sufficient for them.

The remaining question, though, was about Lord Earl’s trusted aides in the Inner City, their level, skills, and numbers. If they could avoid the lord’s trusted knights, their operation afterward would indeed face little obstruction.

ZXC was evidently more composed than Wu Xiaopang, looked around and asked: ”Can you reach the Inner City from here? Where does that lady live, and how can we be sure?”

”That’s not a problem, once inside the Inner City, I have my methods.”

Fang Hong answered confidently. As a Combat Artisan, locating a target swiftly in a complex terrain was no complicated matter for him, especially with his Multi-Control Ability, he could shorten the time frame dramatically. The environment of the Inner City where the City Lord resided should be better than this open location.

As long as he could deploy the Flexible Construct, none of it would be a problem.

The premise is how to reach the Inner City.

But he was equally confident about that.

”As for reaching the Inner City, I’ve already scouted beforehand and even drew a map,” Fang Hong searched his body for a while and suddenly his expression changed—damn it! He suddenly remembered he boasted earlier and threw away the map, which marked only the dungeon locations, but the back showed how to access the Inner City.

His mind wasn’t clear momentarily, thinking he could discard it once done, but hadn’t expected the bow to be stored while the bird was still untouched.

But how could he say that? Fang Hong coughed and braced himself: ”The map... I memorized it all, just follow me.”

ZXC and Wu Xiaopang nodded together, seemingly without suspicion.

Thankfully, Fang Hong realized his memory was reliable, probably because he had explored the place himself, not easily forgotten. Though he made several mistakes, there was some vague recollection. Throughout, Xiangzi muttered a few sentences:

”Have we been here before?”

”Why are we here again?”

Luo Yu, observing this guy with a peculiar expression, had probably guessed the situation but refrained from voicing out.

Fang Hong desperately signaled to this person, but the latter just couldn’t get it, driving him crazy, mentally planning on how to release him in the upcoming combat.

But thankfully, the arduous journey ended when they finally met up with Luo Hao.

Because in Luo Hao’s possession remained the map they had copied over.

Seeing this military fatty unexpectedly escape and rendezvous with them surprised Fang Hong, yet wasn’t entirely unforeseeable. Surprising given the opponent’s level and being an Iron Guard, a cumbersome class, making escape from the arcanists’ grasp seemed unlikely.
