Pillar of Yita

How to go back on the word now?

He was about to ask again, but Delice had already turned away, and only the Uncrowned Crown gave him a wink.

The young man nodded to him before turning to leave.

Fang Hong glanced at Hilveld beside him, somewhat unsure.

Miss Ship’s Officer said nothing, merely gave him a reassuring look.

The group followed the servant through the lavish corridor, a long hallway adorned with crystal lamps hanging one after another, seemingly endless. And according to Hilveld’s description, this banquet was merely being held in a villa estate owned by the Westwood Sibika family.

The grandeur of the Rose Family in the Southern Region was apparent.

Even in the era when turmoil began, how splendid was the time when the Westwood Sibika family controlled the Rose Workshop at its peak?

Fang Hong found it hard to imagine.

Before long, the servant ahead stopped, opened a large door, and waited beside it to let them through.

Only when Hilveld passed through the door did she suddenly whisper to him: ”Ade, things might be changing on Delice’s father’s side, not as simple as we thought.”

Fang Hong was startled: ”What happened?”

Beyond the door was a brightly lit hall, crowded with people, already filled with numerous attendees.

Just by looking at their attire, one could tell they were all nobles.

However, although there were many people in the hall, they did not enter through the main entrance, so they did not attract much attention.

Only ’Lady Papamo’ was a bit angry: ”How did we enter through the side door? Who do they think we are? Is this how Lord Earl regards our lifesaving favor to his daughter?”

”Are you silly, Parker?” Tianlan replied crossly: ”Delice’s father wants to see Miss Hilveld and Brother Ade, coming in through the main entrance, just who are you hoping to attract?” She poked the latter’s forehead with her finger: ”Besides, the guide is Delice, do you think the Little Princess would neglect us?”

Parker was left speechless.

Hilveld watched the scene, then turned back and said: ”During Delice’s father’s absence, he brought back a student from Ye Hua’s side. I’ve heard that the Earl himself holds that young man in high regard, even considering him his successor.”

Ye Hua? Fang Hong couldn’t help but think of the Ranger King he had met once.

He asked softly: ”Did this happen recently?”

Hilveld nodded gently.

Fang Hong frowned at this, feeling troubled: ”If Delice’s father already has someone in mind, doesn’t that make our chances slim?”

Miss Ship’s Officer gently shook her head.

”Not necessarily, in the Alchemist’s world, it’s about strength,” she turned her gaze back at him, her eyes gleaming: ”This position belongs solely to the Captain, and it also considers the Rose Workshop.”

She then smiled slightly, ”Lord Captain, don’t forget that I am at least half a member of the Westwood Sibika family.”

Fang Hong didn’t expect Hilveld to be so confident in him. But since he was here, he calmed down quickly, trusting that Hilveld had received the news early, and since she brought him here, she must have a purpose.

In his impression, Miss Ship’s Officer rarely did anything futile.

Hilveld then said: ”However, this banquet is likely set up for that young man.”

Fang Hong was somewhat puzzled, not harboring excess thoughts, he just felt that even if the Earl favored his student, there was no need to specifically arrange a night banquet to welcome him?

Isn’t this a bit too outrageous?

Hilveld saw through his thoughts and said: ”The young man returned to Fanric at this time probably to be introduced into the Southern Region Alchemist Alliance circle. Rose Workshop in the Southern Region isn’t just about the Rose, to become the next master of the Workshop, one must gain the Elders’ Council’s support internally, and externally gain recognition from traditional allies of the Westwood Sibika family.”

She raised her gaze, observing the scene in the hall: ”I’ve seen the guest list from Delice, all invited are luminaries of the southern alchemy world, Lord Earl wants to create momentum for his student.”

Fang Hong heard this and understood.

Talking about creating momentum, he instantly thought of the experience when Hilveld took him to meet Ande. Since then, she started placing pieces on the board, and if not for today’s accident, she should’ve successfully introduced him to the Southern Region Alchemist Alliance leaders.

Then by leveraging external powers and his identity, plus the Westwood Sibika family itself owing him a favor due to Delice, multi-faceted efforts would likely secure Delice’s father’s recognition firmly.

No wonder Miss Ship’s Officer mentioned earlier that things were changing.

At this moment, Delice and the Uncrowned Crown had already disappeared into the crowd. The group appeared somewhat idle in the hall, firstly because they didn’t fit within this circle, and secondly because Hilveld’s identity wasn’t suitable to be exposed.

However, the Papalarian, who complained earlier, had found something to do, he started eating heartily at a table piled high with food with Xiangzi. Luo Yu initially wanted to persuade the two to maintain some decorum, but unexpectedly Tianlan joined them shortly.

Following them was the curious Ai Xiaoxiao.
