Pillar of Yita

So, he brought these books, and in these recent days, he has flipped through them several more times, discovering some real gains: besides the nearly meager experience, there’s more understanding of the essence of Eteliria Alchemy. Only Fang Hong still didn’t grasp how these understandings of the essence of alchemy truly serve him.

After someone took the initiative to speak, the attitudes of others gradually softened.

After all, not everyone has the pressure of being led by a Soul Fingerprint, it was just Fang Hong previously kept them waiting in vain for nearly two hours, which made everyone a bit annoyed. But annoyance is only temporary, as they all have to spend at least a month together in the same team.

The members of the Grand Guild weren’t as cold and exclusionary as he imagined; Fang Hong quickly got acquainted with everyone in the team.

In fact, aside from the Soul Fingerprint as the leader, he has five teammates, including the young lady who spoke to him earlier, ID is Mulan, nineteen years old this year. Fang Hong learned in a few words that she was already a fairly veteran Invoker and Alchemist.

She has actually participated in the Continental League twice, and competed once in the main tournament, hence she appears the most relaxed this time. Since she is about to enter the ranks of professional artisans, she doesn’t really expect this competition to offer her anything.

Among the remaining four, the oldest, MTT, is still a month younger than Mulan, and has a somewhat taciturn nature — and his silence isn’t like Luo Yu’s prudence with words, he genuinely doesn’t like talking — and perhaps it’s this personality that gives him the most solid basic skills in the team.

He is also the second strongest in the team after Mulan, mainly focusing on structure and assembly, though his abilities in other aspects are not to be underestimated.

Fang Hong learned from Mulan that he had also participated in a Continental League once, but performed unusually poorly last time, which caused him to miss the selection for the Blackwall Bay Artisan Association’s official team this time (MTT hailed from Scepter Coast as a craftsman, and the Continental League is divided by regions, with no mention of guild participation in teams).

He originally held his breath, intending to fight again next year. But unexpectedly, this year’s Continental League had unexpectedly poor performances with the main teams of several Artisan Associations, so the Colin Ishurian Royalty intended to select people from this exhibition match to give them an alternative opportunity.

Fang Hong could see that, though the other party was quiet, he came with the determination to win.

As for the other two, Cui Yu and Wild Hawk-Beak Bean — the former has a rare talent in connecting structural points, naturally able to multitask — though this isn’t the professional technique of Multiple Parallel, it also makes him naturally five points faster than average people at connecting structural points.

To Fang Hong, this is an enviable talent. Furthermore, though this person isn’t a trainee, he is considered well-taught, reportedly a student personally nurtured by a renowned Invoker craftsman, hence having a solid foundation.

However, Fang Hong also noticed this gentleman had an air of going his own way, almost akin to members he once encountered in the Grand Guild, clearly unable to connect with others, never looking directly at him — even subtly showing some dislike towards him.

As for the latter, though his name is somewhat funny, he’s a jack-of-all-trades in the team, competent in almost everything, and not too bad at it, with the most talent in concocting Magical Potions. Also, Hawk-Beak Bean is the youngest in the team, only a year older than Fang Hong.

The last is Dill, a similarly solitary girl, same age as Hawk-Beak Bean, but three months older. Her solitude isn’t like Cui Yu’s arrogance, but somewhat reclusive. At least in Fang Hong’s view, she’s the only one in the team who wasn’t bothered either by his tardiness.

In fact, apart from introducing herself, she didn’t really care about him, or anyone else for that matter, continuously murmuring to herself. People would think she’s neither an alchemist nor another mysterious profession like a witch.

When Fang Hong unintentionally approached, he heard that most of what she recited were names of alchemy materials. If it were a normal person, they’d probably think this girl had a screw loose. But as Fang Hong listened, a term flashed briefly in his mind: ”Colin Ishurian Alchemist’s Proportional Formula”.

This book was compiled two hundred years ago, and nowadays, the various Artisan Associations in Colin Ishurian no longer use this book as common teaching material, but coincidentally, he has one in his suitcase. Furthermore, Anluose mentioned to him that although it’s not widely applicable, it contains rather unique content.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but glance at the girl curiously, immediately understanding she was reciting ”Colin Ishurian Alchemist’s Proportional Formula”, yet as Mulan said, such behavior is somewhat peculiar for an Invoker — of course, Fang Hong didn’t realize at the time, that in view of outsiders, he’s considered an eccentric himself.

He only glanced twice, and Dill turned to look at him — the girl, with heavy dark circles, emanating an ethereal aura. Though Fang Hong assumed she was about to speak, she merely glanced at him before casually turning away.
