Pillar of Yita

After receiving the news, Su Changfeng immediately dropped what he was doing and rushed to Spire Square. He found the instructor and Luo Hao amidst the crowd, and got straight to the point: ”Are you sure? Did you find the person?”

The instructor nodded: ”I verified it, it should be him. But the other party has already left first.”

”Why not leave someone there?”

”It’s my fault, I didn’t recognize him right away,” the instructor replied.

Su Changfeng shook his head; he was just asking, the Special Preparation Team was in charge of this matter, and it was normal for them not to recognize him. Then he looked at the Little Fatty beside him: ”You are Luo Hao? You saw him as a Combat Artisan, are you sure?”

Luo Hao nodded.

”Can you describe it?”

”He was very skilled in operating Flexible Constructs, but I don’t recognize the model of the Magic Guided Reactor. From the plugin configuration, it should be above level fifteen.”

”Level fifteen?”

Luo Hao nodded again.

Su Changfeng glanced at his deputy; both were silent for a long time before he asked again: ”What construct?”

”Energy Angel.”

”Energy Angel.” Su Changfeng caught a hint of something unusual and couldn’t help but repeat it.

Seeing this team leader’s expression, Luo Hao felt a bit nervous and added: ”The other party should know Sophie, Captain.”

At this moment, the deputy behind Su Changfeng interrupted sternly: ”How did you come to this conclusion?”

”I saw them cooperating in combat.”

”Are you sure?” the deputy asked again.

Luo Hao felt someone tugging at him from behind, it should have been his instructor, but he hadn’t reacted yet and thus nodded honestly.

The deputy looked at his old superior, and Su Changfeng just slightly raised an eyebrow; he then looked at the instructor, whose small movements hadn’t escaped his notice: ”What do you think?”

”But there were also many other adventurers there at the time; cooperating in combat doesn’t necessarily mean it’s like that, it could also be a coincidence,” the instructor thought and answered cautiously.

Su Changfeng found it amusing: ”You really think so?”

But the instructor seemed serious: ”There were many such instances at the time, adventurers temporarily forming teams to help each other.”

Su Changfeng expressed noncommittally: ”Oh.” He thought for a moment, shook his head, and answered solemnly: ”Don’t spread this around just yet; there’s definitely a purpose for the target coming here, don’t scare him away again.”

”He’s an Alchemist,” Luo Hao couldn’t help but suggest, ”Could he also be here to participate in the Continental League? He participated once before, it’s entirely possible.”

He wasn’t aware of the internal workings of the last Continental League, so he answered like this.

But Su Changfeng pondered for a moment.

The instructor asked again: ”What do we do next?”

”What action?”

”Capture net and arrest?”

”Arrest?” The deputy’s expression was a bit odd.

He couldn’t help but look at his old superior, and Su Changfeng also smiled wryly, equivocating: ”...It’s true, but we’re short on manpower, so it’s best not to act rashly. Besides, our main task is not this; we need to report to the organization above—and you should first contact the Artisan Association to see if they can provide any assistance.”

”Artisan Association?” The instructor was stunned, doubting if he had heard wrong, as what help could the Artisan Association provide in the Southern Region? Shouldn’t they seek help from the Southern Alchemists Alliance?

”The Artisan Association,” Su Changfeng confirmed: ”Go find someone, the current acting chairman of the Artisan Association, someone from the Tongwan Family. Tell him that the person he’s looking for has appeared, I guess he’ll help.”

The instructor heard this but didn’t understand the details, yet he nodded anyway.

Only then did Su Changfeng nod and let the two leave. Luo Hao looked back every few steps because he had been involved in this matter before and even ’had tea’ at the Department of Internal Affairs at Stargate Port, but the final result was unclear—they just handed him over to a training camp.

Originally, he was supposed to go to Training Camp No. 7, but later he went to Crosswind Harbor, and his treatment was upgraded. It was said to be due to the delay because Training Camp No. 7 was already full, but he always felt it was related to this matter.

He was filled with curiosity about the matter’s inside story—or more accurately, he had an innate sensitivity to any matter’s ’inside story’, otherwise, he wouldn’t have remembered Fang Hong so clearly. However, the other party refused to let him participate again, which left him disappointed.

After walking a few steps, the instructor patted him on the shoulder: ”Good luck, Little Fatty.”

”What’s up?” Luo Hao asked, a bit puzzled.

”Don’t you know who Sophie is?”

Luo Hao looked bewildered—how could he not know, the Little Princess of Silver Weslan, with fans lining up from the Stargate to Earth.

”She’s the team leader’s daughter.”

”What?”

...

Watching the two walk away, Su Changfeng turned back around.

As soon as he turned, the deputy immediately asked: ”Our target is not this; shouldn’t we notify the Special Preparation Team over there?”

”Of course, we need to inform them, and report to the organization,” Su Changfeng replied: ”But before that, there’s something else I want you to do.”

”What is it?”

”Investigate the names and owners of every ship that left Elpaxin Port from after the Continental League up to the Fenris incident.”

The deputy was slightly taken aback: ”Wasn’t that checked?”

”Check it again, but this time, not just the ship’s official owner, but also the real owners behind them, the noble higher-ups of Colin Ishurian.”
