Pillar of Yita

In some basic events, not using the system is quite disadvantageous for Invokers. Cultivating a new genius talent often costs a fortune, all for commercial interests. Of course, the Grand Guild is reluctant to let its star players put in effort for someone else’s benefit.

But it is different for these second-tier staff.

After all, this is a competition mainly for the Natives, so the participating Invokers here have nothing to complain about.

Fortunately, everyone has gone through an apprentice stage, so they will always know some Engraving Arrays. The staff member was a middle-aged man with a blank expression; he simply took the Red Gold Engraved Plate, turned silently, placed it in a box, sealed it, and then wrote the completion time on the box.

Each box has a number, and each number corresponds to the name of a contestant, but the roster is kept by a designated person. So, when the boxes are submitted for review, the reviewers actually don’t know whose work is inside each box. This method also helps prevent the reviewers from showing favoritism.

Qin Yu quietly watched her box. It was not her first time in this competition, and she understood that the best achievements in these boxes would be selected and presented to the Artisan Association’s chief examiners. And those people truly determine the fate of these second-tier participants.

If they are selected by the chief examiner and entered into the main team of the Continental League, then making a small appearance in the Continental League will make their future in the Guild much smoother.

The geniuses from the Grand Guild vie for the opportunity to go to the Second World.

But for second-tier staff like them, this is their main battleground. Advancing to the next round is important, but getting a good result to catch the chief examiner’s eye is more critical. Unfortunately, Qin Yu knew that she was not the main force of the team, and her results would likely not be first place.

While pondering these things and packing her tools to leave, she suddenly thought of the young man from Ragnarok—it should be his first time in this competition, right? Perhaps he came here with the same feelings as she once did?

But Ragnarok’s main force is MTT, so it would be difficult for him to shine.

Qin Yu then remembered the leader’s instructions, looking up in their direction, just in time to see Fang Hong walking down from his arena, politely smiling at her. She couldn’t help but be stunned, thinking this young man was rather cute, even though they were competitors.

But seeing Fang Hong walking away, Qin Yu then was puzzled:

Wait a minute, how did he leave earlier than I?

Could it be that I didn’t read the competition rules carefully, and this year the competition actually allows using the Artisan System?

The first round of the competition quickly ended.

Cui Yu, Hawk-Beak Bean, and Mulan, the final act, appeared one after another. Cui Yu was responsible for the multi-array segment, while Hawk-Beak Bean designed the connections between various Alchemy Arrays, and finally, Mulan unified the trio’s works into a finished product, marking the end of the first round.

Everyone basically performed normally, and Hawk-Beak Bean even surprised everyone by assembling a high-quality Alchemy Array with 97% accuracy. With this record, their advancement to the second round was almost guaranteed. Therefore, everyone felt somewhat relaxed, and Hawk-Beak Bean even bet with Fang Hong, stating that this time he had the highest score.

However, the results came out quickly, with Fang Hong still undeniably securing the highest score, not counted toward the total score. Hawk-Beak Bean looked at this ”monster” and gasped, realizing that even a 97% accuracy array could not win first place—just how high was this person’s score?

Could it be a perfect score?

Hawk-Beak Bean couldn’t help but pull Fang Hong aside and incredulously asked, ”Wait a minute, Ade, did you perform above your level?”

Fang Hong just smiled and nodded.

Of course, he wouldn’t say that not only didn’t he perform above his level, but he hadn’t even used 70% of his abilities. Naturally, he wouldn’t exert full effort in the competition; as long as he ensured entering the non-scoring section, it was sufficient. If it were too high, he didn’t plan to go to Osh to participate in the main tournament.

At the moment, it was merely to repay a favor to Odin.

Fang Hong’s results did not disappoint anyone; even Cui Yu couldn’t say anything else and quietly congratulated him. After all, everyone was on the same team, and if the Ragnarok team could enter the finals, it would be advantageous for everyone.

”This year, we have great hope,” once the players came down, Soul Fingerprint couldn’t help but encourage, ”Everyone, keep up the good work.”

After speaking, she gave Fang Hong a surprised look, realizing that his performance in the competition was even better than expected. It was just a pity that there were not two Fang Hong’s in the team; otherwise, she felt that even this year’s championship would be a sure win.

How many years has it been since Ragnarok took a good result in the Alchemist competition events?

But Fang Hong seemed quite pleased; it wasn’t because of the results. As soon as he came down, he spotted Tianlan and several others—mainly Hilveld. He was stunned upon seeing the noble girl; Hilveld, holding a briefcase in both hands, was wearing a long black sheer dress and a sun hat, with delicate shoulders and skin as fair as snow.

She appeared slightly reserved, with a faint smile under the sun. Her youthful aura almost made everything around her lose its color.

Hawk-Beak Bean, Cui Yu, and even Mulan stood stunned, thinking they had seen an Elf Girl step out of a painting.
