Pillar of Yita

Now it seems that the rumors might be true.

Fortunately, the other party just glanced at him twice and obviously didn’t take this little Alchemist from Ragnarok seriously, quickly turning back.

However, the team from the Shadow Throne was busy discussing on the side, pointing fingers at their two teams. After all, to the Shadow Throne, Ragnarok and Elite, as two of the top ten guilds, naturally represented the most formidable opponents in this competition.

But the leader of the Shadow Throne mainly focused on Ragnarok.

After all, since Elite has Virus, their Alchemist team has become increasingly prosperous, with almost the entire backbone being crafted by that Ice Queen. And as for their strength, they naturally have a clear idea.

Given the level of Shadow Throne, challenging Elite’s team is basically asking for trouble. But Ragnarok is different; it’s well-known that Ragnarok’s craftsmen are traditionally weak, which is a famous fact within the circle.

If these people enter the second round, they may very likely encounter teams from the top ten guilds, and among these guilds, Ragnarok might be the only one from which they have a chance to score some points.

Therefore, the young man emphasized introducing this squad from Ragnarok. He obviously had done his homework in advance and first pointed to the MTT in front of Fang Hong, saying, ”That’s MTT, supposed to be the commander of Ragnarok. It’s said he has improved a lot this year. However, his results will definitely be invalid, so just pay a little attention to him.”

His gaze then turned to the others: ”Those young people from Ragnarok, you need to pay more attention to. Especially the Alchemist named Cui Yu, a rising star recently emerging from Ragnarok. Observe the aspects he excels at to facilitate our response later.”

”As for that little girl named Dill, there’s not much information about her, but it looks like she’s not a main player in the team,” the young man then looked at his own team and said, ”She seems not to be participating in this round, or else you could have noted her level.”

”As for the remaining Hawk-Beak Bean and Mulan, they are familiar faces, have strength, but are predictable.”

As he said this, his eyes finally fell on the last person – naturally, that was Fang Hong. The young man couldn’t help but pause for a moment.

After confirming several times, he turned back to his deputy and said: ”That young man, is he on the file?”

The deputy took out a notebook, compared it, and then shook his head: ”No.”

”Are you sure there’s none?”

”Really none.”

The young man felt a slight chill in his heart at these words and immediately frowned.

He knew that a Grand Guild like Ragnarok had a deep background. Although they are weak in Alchemist training, one might never know when a prodigy would emerge from a trainee camp. In fact, there have been such cases for both the Rose Cross Army and Silver Weslan.

The fact that they dared to bring such a fresh face to the competition suggests they must have something to rely on. Or was he originally mistaken? Was the young man named Cui Ning not the trump card Ragnarok arranged for this time?

But this person?

The leader contemplated this and immediately turned back, picking out a tall girl from the crowd, telling her: ”Qin Yu, you are the most gifted in both single character and Engraved Array speed; you go first in this round. After the competition, if you finish first, pay attention to that young man across.”

The girl looked at Fang Hong upon hearing this, then nodded lightly.

...

”They’re watching you,” Mulan suddenly said to Fang Hong.

The Ragnarok members naturally also noticed the attention from the Shadow Throne. But aside from Fang Hong, the others didn’t really care much about these ’small guilds’.

Mulan could understand why the other party was focusing on Fang Hong; anyone with aspirations for competition results would definitely pay attention to the next round’s opponents. In such circumstances, unfamiliar faces are obviously unstable factors.

Especially for such well-known teams.

But she was just teasing a bit after all, since compared to the Shadow Throne, Mulan was more concerned with Elite on the other side. In the last competition, her team with MTT had narrowly lost to Elite.

They were watching each other, and the Elite members were naturally also paying attention to them, with both sides seeing each other as potential opponents for the next round. But relatively speaking, the latter still had a psychological advantage.

The first round of the competition soon entered the preparation stage.

As this round wasn’t critical for Ragnarok, the Soul Fingerprint hadn’t made major changes to the original plan. The original double insurance of Mulan and MTT was changed to Mulan and Fang Hong leading the team, supplemented by Hawk-Beak Bean and Cui Yu.

This way, with Mulan’s relatively average strength as security, it wouldn’t overly expose Fang Hong as a secret weapon. Hawk-Beak Bean and Cui Yu are both relatively stable performers, with this combination’s average results expected to easily reach within the top thirty according to the Soul Fingerprint.

In the first round of single character Engraved Array competition, Fang Hong was the first from Ragnarok to go on stage. As soon as the whistle from the referee was heard, the competition was officially announced to begin.

Similar to the assessments in the Hall of Thousand Doors, this competition also focused on the precision and speed of the engraving. To achieve high scores, there was still a considerable requirement for personal skill level. But for Fang Hong, who had undergone the Hall of Thousand Doors, it really couldn’t be considered a challenge—

He just anticipated that his results might be invalid, so he didn’t bother to do anything fancy, and just picked up the carving knife lightly after waiting for a moment...
