Pillar of Yita

At that moment—

Luo Hao saw only the silver light cascading from the sword, passing through the neck of the Skeleton Giant—the female swordmaster gracefully pivoting in mid-air like a swallow, landing behind the giant. The headless massive skeleton was slowly collapsing behind her, raising a cloud of dust that gradually dispersed.

Sophie then stood up and patted the dust off her shoulder, sheathing her sword.

Luo Hao opened his mouth, intending to inquire, but suddenly another shrill scream rang out, this time closer, just a few streets away. The scream made everyone instinctively duck and cover their ears. The vibrations stirred up a wave of air, causing dust to roll down the street.

Sophie, Xi, and among the military Invokers, the instructor reacted the fastest, immediately turning to look south. They heard a loud crash, and in everyone’s eyes, a shadow shot up into the sky, accompanied by debris and building fragments, temporarily blocking the sun’s light.

Making the sky darken.

Fang Hong reacted just a moment slower than the three, and when he looked up, he understood what the shadow was—a giant bone wing radiating the aura of death, with cold runes carved on its long horns, sunken eye sockets filled with swirling blue fire, a hollow chest cavity beneath cloaked in black mist of decay and corruption—the Bone Dragon spread its wings, and the fear of demise instantly deepened into the hearts of everyone around.

It lowered its head, and the blue fire immediately burned into the depths of everyone’s soul.

Fang Hong’s heart skipped a beat, as though he had lost the ability to act, his limbs were icy cold, leaving only one desperate thought—flee, as far as possible.

But he hadn’t forgotten the others, instinctively looking toward Sophie and Xi, the Princess of Silver Weslan and her Companion Star Knight stood motionless, like two puppets. Fang Hong opened his mouth to shout, but found himself unable to make any sound, only producing a hissing noise—as though fear had tightly gripped his throat.

In an instant, a sharper scream pressed down from the sky, drowning out all other sounds.

It was the scream of a top tier undead creature.

The piercing shriek bore into brains.

Fang Hong felt his vision darken as though his blood rushed backward to his brain, veiling his sight; his mind felt like it had taken a heavy blow, his ears filled with shrieks, as if a thousand Resentful Spirits were screaming in unison, making him involuntarily roll his eyes back, the fear infiltrating his soul almost pressing on his shoulders, forcing him to kneel.

And others fared even worse.

The fat man already sat on the ground, citizens stumbled, women and children screamed in unison, a cry of despair as if the end of the world had arrived.

But at this moment, Fang Hong saw a ray of light seep into his dark vision, like a small hand tearing through the darkness—allowing him to see a beam of red light, like a blood-red spear descending from the clouds, instantly piercing through the Bone Dragon’s chest and abdomen.

It was a blood-red spear traversing the space between heaven and earth—

Piercing straight down, passing through the Bone Dragon’s body. At this moment, Fang Hong felt the suffocating sensation dissipate at once, like coming alive as he gasped with large breaths, the darkness before his eyes also scattering—he looked up, seeing the city’s defense mechanisms slowly operating.

Three more blood-red arrays unfolded, three beams of red light intersecting, each precisely piercing the black mist surrounding the Bone Dragon.

Fang Hong then realized the Bone Dragon was not as intact as he imagined; the huge bone wings were actually riddled with scars, missing a horn and a claw, several ribs were broken—the undead creature standing at the summit of Eteliria’s strength was not resistant at all under Fanric’s Alchemy Array.

Every time it flew skyward, it only led to another descent brought by the scarlet light.

When the final beam of red light descended from the clouds—

A blood-red pillar of light pierced straight into the Bone Dragon’s skull.

The Undead Dragon let out a mournful howl as its massive body exploded mid-air, countless winged undead creatures flew amidst the dispersing black mist, swarming like a rain of arrows toward the surrounding streets.

And the remnants of the dragon’s skeleton, turning like a broken kite, plunged towards the southwest of the city.

”Ade, it appeared from the direction of Cold Raven Street!” Sophie’s voice was somewhat apprehensive, yet slightly urgent.

Fang Hong looked at the monsters swarming across the sky, nodding slowly.

”We go—”

It was the Undead Vultures blotting out the sky.

”I’ll protect you.” Sophie proposed.

”No, you left, me right,” Fang Hong’s eyes were reflecting densely packed black dots: ”Lead them away.”

Sophie turned and glanced at him.

Fang Hong responded with a serious look: ”I can solve it.”

The Princess of Silver Weslan nodded slightly, she turned back, looking forward, pressing the sword hilt, immediately transforming into a silver light.

Accompanying it was a cyan glow—like the Companion Star beside the main star—two rays of light pierced straight into the vast black tide, where they passed, Undead Vultures fell in droves, like rain. Despite their numerous numbers, shrieking around the duo, the rays of light easily broke through along a building’s wall.

Sophie and Xi leaped across the rooftops and into another district.

Fang Hong’s gaze then withdrew.

He looked up, the sky with dense black dots, rising to a peak, then turning towards his direction—
