Pillar of Yita

Even a hundred years ago, she merely stirred up a storm in Colin Ishurian, and the impact on the whole of Eteliria was almost negligible. The era of the Dark Giant Dragon had long passed, and it was no longer a period when their wings could blot out the sky.

But this seems to not hinder the believers of the Dark Giant Dragon from fervently believing that that piece of history will reappear once again, that the light of the Third Calamity Star will ultimately shine upon the earth.

They don’t seem to have thought about this point, what advantage does the arrival of the Third Calamity Star bring to them?

When Aithelin sank beneath the Abyssal Sea, it wasn’t just the residents above who perished, but also a large number of believers of the Dark Giant Dragon at the time. At the moment when disaster came, the light of the Star of Calamity cared not if you were its supporter, it indiscriminately turned everything to dust.

Therefore Fang Hong could not understand these people’s ’seeking benevolence and getting benevolence’ mentality, and could only imagine the brainwashing ability of the Dark Giant Dragon must indeed be powerful. Moreover, as far as he knew, among those who strive for the revival of Nikopolas, there were many ’Immortals’.

And these people had already acquired the strength of immortality, why would they let themselves have a master above them for no reason? Fang Hong was baffled about this too.

But at least the blindness and fanaticism of the Dragon Worshippers could be seen here.

They seemed to blindly pursue a certain goal without any reason, therefore Fang Hong believed they might completely abandon some things called rationality and logic.

Thinking to this point, he looked again at the bookshelf in front of him — from the cult scriptures collected on the bookshelf, it seemed that this official from the Adventurers’ Guild, if not a seasoned ’Zealot’, was likely not very far from one.

After stepping out of his original mindset, Fang Hong immediately noticed this tiny doubt — would a Zealot choose to sacrifice for their faith? He wasn’t too sure about other religions, but as far as his understanding of the Dragon Worshippers, that was almost a certainty.

So for a Zealot, was there a need to use murder and silence methods, such big actions necessary?

There seemed to be some problem involved here.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but step back, but he suddenly stepped on something. Fang Hong froze, looked down, and found it was a notebook buried under the dust, which he hadn’t noticed when he originally walked over, but now it seemed like a diary.

Fang Hong was slightly dazed, feeling a little joyful at heart, wondering if this might be a diary recorded by the other party, he knew in Eteliria many natives, especially nobles with status, often had the habit of writing diaries and memos, sometimes even recording some private secrets.

But with this expectation, picking it up and looking, he was vastly disappointed. The book indeed looked like a notebook recorded by the other party, but had no relevance to any diary, more like an archaeological record, Fang Hong brushed off the dust from the diary, identifying from the fragmented descriptions that it should be recording some information about Idus.

Idus was exactly that city turned to ashes in the Dragon’s Witch flames.

Located on the edge of the Brown Earth Desert, it was once quite a prosperous trade city, and also the former capital of the Istania region — the former hometown of Mazak, under the jurisdiction of the Idus Praetor.

Of course, all continued until that disaster occurred.

Afterwards, flames burned everything to ashes, and after the disaster, this tragic city never revived, now there was only rubble in the sandstorm speaking of its past. After the last group of refugees left, the former Istania region of the Kingdom is now synonymous with a desert wilderness.

However, it was an archaeological Holy Land.

Many scholars willing to understand that century-old history often visited that place.

Fang Hong looked at the notebook in his hand, wondering if this official secretly was a history enthusiast? But there’s another possibility, as Idus or Dolifen, both are related to the past of Nikopolas.

Recording these, could it be related to some truths buried under that piece of history?

With such thoughts, he continued flipping through, but the later records appeared more chaotic. It not only recorded some information about Idus, but also some families, some people, but the names of these families and people seemed unfamiliar to Fang Hong.

He originally thought he had some understanding of the noble families of Colin Ishurian under Miss Hilveld’s guidance, but seeing this list, he still felt completely lost.

Only the last familiar name jumped to his eyes, making his spirits lifted:

Grossel Family.

There wasn’t much recorded about this family in the notebook, with only three names below:

Tantance Groselle.

Maryland Groselle.

Cris Aylingelan

Fang Hong was slightly dazed upon seeing these three names, the first two names he was quite familiar with. Tantance was the Dolifen’s Praetor thirty years ago, grandfather of Rockland Groselle, whose blood inheritance rights in the Grossel Family were granted by the soul of this person.

While the other Maryland Groselle he actually knew, that was Rockland’s father, son of Tantance.

But regarding the last obviously woman’s name, he felt unfamiliar — why was there such a woman’s name recorded under the Grossel Family? Was it Maryland’s wife? But it didn’t seem so in memory.

He pointed at that name and said to Tata beside him: ”Miss Tata, haven’t we heard this name somewhere?”

Tata nodded: ”I also feel familiar, but if I had seen it in that book, I’d definitely remember.”

Both felt somewhat baffled.

However, Fang Hong noticed, on Maryland and Cris’ names, a heavy red circle was drawn. Looking down the whole list, only three names were circled in red, besides these two, there was another person named Ande.

That person came from a family called Jadecarca, Fang Hong hadn’t heard of the name, no impression at all.

What meaning did these three red circles represent?

Fang Hong found himself a little puzzled.
