Pillar of Yita

Of course, he is undoubtedly the most renowned one. Because of the Battle of Bain, his reputation has even surpassed the first generation head of the Groelfin Family.

Born noble, known as a genius since childhood, he survived the Battle of Bain unscathed and became one of the celebrated heroes, and even gained the favor of the Avenquin Elf Princess. Thus, it can be said that Sir Roban is truly blessed with a protagonist’s aura, not merely a fabrication by Fang Hong.

Under his leadership, the Groelfin Family evidently reached new heights in Colin Ishurian.

Diket also showed a smile in his eyes, though he did not mention it verbally, he was evidently very satisfied with his son: ”A hundred years ago, the Ailin Green Family was like today’s Groelfin.”

”Mr. Diket, are you saying?”

Diket nodded: ”The Groelfin Family has held the trust of the royal household for only sixty years, having gone through four family heads. But before that, the one who held the Mage Academy was in fact the Ailin Green Family, and what I mean to say is about a genius from the Ailin Green Family.”

He paused: ”His name is Klatur Ailin Green.”

Fang Hong’s eyes widened, he had heard of that name. Archmage Klatur, but in the history he knew, there was never a mention of the archmage’s surname. What he did know was, a hundred years ago, this genius magic guided conductor was actually the Chief Court Mage of Colin Ishurian.

Moreover, not only that, he was actually one of the heroes in the legendary dragon-slaying story. He was a close friend of the dragon-slaving hero Xiuyuede, and they had known each other since youth, traveling the continent together, leaving countless legends in the poets’ songs.

Seeing his expression, Diket knew he no longer needed to say more. So he just replied, ”The person Artteau Ailin Green, he was from the Ailin Green Family. I have meticulously verified the documents of that time, and he should be the cousin of Klatur Ailin Green.”

He paused again: ”Not only that, his relationship with Xiuyuede was also very good, the three of them once traveled across the continent together.”

”That is until the latter got married and returned home, and Xiuyuede himself embarked on the tour of the Oathkeeper Clan. Klatur then went to the royal capital for secluded study, preparing to take over his father’s position as Chief Court Mage—at this point, the three of them officially parted ways, each pursuing their own path.”

Fang Hong listened with his mouth agape: ”But in the poets’ legends, it was always just Klatur and Xiuyuede.”

Diket nodded, becoming serious: ”...And that is the peculiar part, I found that the records before and after that catastrophe were completely different. So, I suspect that Artteau might have played some disreputable role in that event...”

Fang Hong instinctively thought of the events that happened at Aimumu Fortress, and after pondering for a moment, he inquired a bit more about those matters from the other party.

”Chris Groselle?”

Diket shook his head: ”There are not many records about Artteau, I managed to find some clues from some ancient archives. The related records seem very evasive, with very few credible written accounts, and it’s unclear where he went after marrying, or where his fiefdom was...”

”As for his wife, I’m not quite sure either,” he added: ”The Groselle Family, compared to Ailin Green, is quite a proper match.”

”Then can we look into it from the Groselle Family angle?” Fang Hong asked again.

Diket thought for a moment before replying: ”It is possible, but the old noble families on the Scepter Coast are not quite the same as those in Beikao. To investigate, one would have to start from the Ancient Tower, and it may not be something that can be done quickly. Once things here are settled, I might give it a try.”

Fang Hong silently noted this point, and after listening to the other party’s words, he realized and asked: ”Mr. Diket found the identity of the armor’s owner, but what about the armor itself...?”

But the middle-aged knight’s expression turned grave.

Diket merely shook his head lightly at the time, his expression appearing somewhat shadowy under the light: ”I suspect it is not just any armor, Ade, it might be Artteau himself.”

Fang Hong couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

Even now, recalling this matter, he still found it somewhat unbelievable in his heart.

It sounds a bit like a fantasy, but it seems to vaguely explain some things—Diket told him at the time that he discovered something: the dwarf hero Haggston had been a life-and-death friend with Artteau Ailin Green, and that Artteau once saved his life in a battle before the former followed Xiuyuede.

After the disaster of the Dragon Witch, Artteau fell severely ill, and it was the dwarf Haggston who took him away from Colin Ishurian to seek help from the elves. After that, the news of his whereabouts was scarce, until Haggston returned to Dolifen.

The name Artteau seemed never to appear in history again.

”I always felt that the armor was alive, Ade,” Diket softly reminded: ”It seemed to want to tell me something, do you remember what Miss Atira mentioned?”

Fang Hong nodded.

And he also remembered what Sophie had said.

But this matter was too bizarre, and not only could he not be certain, even Diket could not be sure. However, the knight promised that after the competition, he would let him personally see the armor to see if they could find any clues. Fang Hong, feeling overwhelmed with the tangled mess of affairs at hand, could only nod and temporarily set this matter aside.

At least until things are settled with Fanric.

Besides the competition, there was also a pile of troubles at the Rose Workshop.

He couldn’t help but feel a headache thinking about it—strangely, when did he get entangled in so many things?
