Pillar of Yita

These Night Lizard People intend to resurrect an Ancient God from the Xinsas Era?

And members of the Blood Oath Alliance are also involved?

Fang Hong was startled by his own thought; if his guess were correct, then the trial below was far from simple. He couldn’t help but recall the scene of the Phantom they had witnessed in the Mountain Palace, the giant eye beneath the Abyss, seeming to have foreshadowed something.

But how could he, a mere Invoker of less than level ten, be involved in a plot related to the war of the Deities? And those people from the Blood Oath Alliance were too bold—did they not understand what Dark Deities meant?

Fang Hong took a sharp intake of breath, feeling his teeth sour.

Over there, Elisa also paused before replying with confusion, ”I’m not very clear on that either, but it’s common knowledge that the Blood Oath Alliance has laid out plans within the ruins beneath Fenris Isle. We guessed they might have some connection to the Night Lizard People, but never imagined it would be this close.”

Fang Hong seized on the main point, ”So, you’re saying that the Night Lizard People are actually very indifferent towards the Invokers and Natives of the island?”

”It’s more than indifference; it’s rather an enmity.”

”What benefit could the Blood Oath Alliance offer them to change their attitude so drastically?”

”...I haven’t thought about that, but indeed, it’s quite strange.”

Fang Hong had a vague feeling that things were moving in the direction he had speculated, but there were still doubts about some details. For instance, what was the relationship between the Blood Oath Alliance and the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team in this matter? What did the Spire underground symbolize, and why did the giant eye appear alongside it in the Phantom?

Plus, the people from Silver Weslan had said before that the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team was also searching for that Spire, so could there be another connection between the two? Besides, he suddenly remembered another matter—the mysterious disappearance of the high ranks of the Rain Listener Guild might also be related.

He furrowed his brows, slightly realizing that the affairs on this island might not be so simple.

Fang Hong pressed on, ”By the way, Elisa, how much do you know about your Guild’s affairs?”

”Guild?”

”Before the high ranks of your Guild disappeared, they had taken on a slightly strange mission. You’re aware of the rumor, aren’t you?” Fang Hong typed a line and then stopped at that point.

Elisa hesitated for a moment before replying, ”I don’t know much, that’s a secret of the high ranks of the Guild. Actually, I shouldn’t be telling anyone, but there was one thing that indeed seemed strange at the time. Would Mr. Ade like to hear it?”

”Of course.”

”Then please keep it a secret for me—Mr. Ade, do you know about the Immortals?”

”Immortals?”

Fang Hong saw the somewhat familiar term and was slightly taken aback, as if it triggered some memory in his heart, suddenly reminding him of what he had seen and heard during his time in Dolifen.

Elisa nodded, ”Then Mr. Ade, do you know about the seventh forbidden edict?”

Fang Hong paused, immediately recalling an event that had happened three years ago in the Second World.

He asked subconsciously, ”Are you talking about the Mount Holy Pact incident from three years ago?”

”Mount Holy Pact?” Elisa paused too, and it took her a long time to react, ”That incident indeed had some connection to the seventh forbidden edict, but I’m referring to another story. It’s about the origin of this edict, Mr. Ade.”

”What I am about to tell is from the Battle of Bain, thirteen years ago.”
