Pillar of Yita

The initially flagging enemy on the battlefield suddenly sprang back to life, as vigorous as a dragon.

”Heavy Cavalry!”

The vice-chairman of the Blood Oath Alliance also felt that something wasn’t right and had a vague premonition that if things continued this way, there might be serious trouble brewing. No longer caring about the situation in the sky, he waved his hand and issued a command for a cavalry charge to the knights behind him.

The knights cheered in unison, having awaited this moment for who knows how long, like beasts unleashed, they lowered their long lances, and advanced in a rolling charge.

The ground shook, the muffled thunderous noise—

And at this moment, Fang Hong, flying lower and lower, saw exactly this scene from mid-air.

One red, one blue, two torrents shouting as they charged towards the center of the battlefield.

But without a doubt, though the Rain Listeners had regained their morale, it was still the Blood Oath Alliance that held the upper hand in terms of sheer power. The Blood Oath Alliance’s carefully prepared heavy cavalry had not yet joined the battle and, under the intentional restraint of their commander, the morale of these knights had long surpassed their feverish peak.

Once the two sides collided, it was perhaps difficult to say who would win or lose.

Fang Hong realized he needed to come up with a solution.

And this was also the opportunity he had long awaited.

He raised his hands, snapped the Rocket Fist back with a click, lowered his head, and the outer ring of the Wind Goggles rotated, stretching his vision to the limit in his eyes. He reached back with both hands as if spreading his wings like a great bird. With a series of clicks, the Clockwork Fairies hanging from the hem of his coat unhooked one after another from their brass hooks.

These golden orbs continued forward with inertia, then gradually descended, tracing an arc like shooting stars, one by one plummeting toward the ground.

The delay fuses inside the brass shells rotated under his control, locking into place, and then the Clockwork Fairies vibrated their wings in unison, pausing low in the air, scattering like blooming golden petals.

The vice-chairman of the Blood Oath Alliance, having seen the previous explosion atop the pyramid, knew full well what these were and couldn’t help but shout in fright, ”Spread out!”

But the charging knights found it difficult to halt their strides.

One after another, the orbs exploded among the knights, and amidst cries and neighs, the arrowhead formation that the Heavy Cavalry maintained immediately fell into disarray. Although they tried desperately to keep in formation, as the crowd in front split, the Rain Listener Shield Guards quickly took the opportunity to erect a Shield Wall and a forest of Long Halberds.

”Dammit!” The vice-chairman of the Blood Oath Alliance nearly blacked out when he saw this scene.

But it wasn’t over yet.

Fang Hong, untethered and skimming over the ground at an extremely low altitude, was passing between two pyramids once again, sweeping over the knights’ heads. The knights looked up just in time to see a flash of blue light, and two Sword Bearers appeared out of thin air, following Fang Hong, dropping down one after the other into the crowd.

Fang Hong raised his right hand, clenched it lightly, and roared, ”Open a path for me!”

No sooner had the Sword Bearers landed than the knights could react. Two large semi-humanoid Flexible Constructs swung their Two-Handed Swords, spinning like tops, and a bright Blade Storm burst forth, throwing the Heavy Cavalry’s formation into complete disarray in an instant.

And at that very moment, they slammed into the Rain Listeners’ line of defense.

The battlefield erupted into chaos.

At this time, Fang Hong was considering how he should land at this speed; he only now started to feel a bit of a headache. His previous maneuvers had been too intense; now, not only was he moving too fast at a low altitude, but the Blood Oath Alliance also saw him as a thorn in their side.

From his current position, it seemed inevitable that he would end up encircled upon landing.

He looked back at the two pyramids—there seemed to be no use in grabbing onto a pyramid now. The cables would still drag him towards the ground, and the outcome might be even worse than earlier plans. As he wrestled with what to do, a streak of silver light suddenly flashed by in the corner of his eye.

Fang Hong was stunned, then quickly realized and immediately shot out his Rocket Fist in that direction. Sure enough, it caught a Chainsword flying towards him just right.

But that certainly wasn’t just a sharp sword thrown by someone; it was the chain blade of Baihua’s chainsword. The young warrior’s face was cold as he saw Fang Hong grab his blade, and then he used all his strength to jerk it back.

Behind him, the Magic Guided Reactor turned crimson red in an instant, billows of white smoke indicating an Overload State burst forth, and the enormous power generated by the overload allowed him to steadily drag Fang Hong, who was in midair, pulling back the chain blade, tossing him in another direction.

Fang Hong was dragged back over the Pyramid, and this time he didn’t dare to take chances, firing his Rocket Fist twice in succession to securely grasp the ground and adjust his own direction before opening his Glider Wing to land steadily on the ground.

The moment he touched down, he happened to see the young man in white standing not far from him.

He couldn’t help but nod at the other.

And Baihua looked at him with a bit of curiosity, also nodding slightly.

Their collaboration was but a moment in the frenzied clash, yet at this moment the battlefield was abuzz—the loud and long blast of battle horns suddenly resonated from outside the Forest. Hearing this sound, Tianlan and Luo Yu, who were charging with Reed, couldn’t help but turn their heads, just in time to see the neatly arranged reserve ranks of the Rain Listeners emerging.

”Ah, the support has arrived!”

Tianlan couldn’t help exclaiming.

”The enemy is here, too!” Parker also shouted.

The Lion People looked up and saw the commander of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team who seemed to have finally noticed the newly arrived opponents in this direction. He divided a portion of his men to intercept them, a troop of Halberd Knights, who lined up, each raising their long halberds.

The spear tips glinted with bright silver light in the air.

Upon seeing this, the Lion People took the Magic Guided Piano ’Kane’s Anointment’ from behind him and threw it to the young girl, ”Here, girl, they have their long battle horns, and we have the sound of victory from Goddess Marlan.”

”Wait, it’s our own people,” Parker urgently screamed, ”Don’t fire!”

Tianlan took the Magic Guided Piano and stumbled backward, then glared irritably at the Papalarians before taking a deep breath, nodding slightly, and then strumming the strings. As the first note rang out, Tainaric’s lance was flying out of his hand.

The lance flew among the ranks of Halberdiers, scattering both men and horses.

And at the edge of the Forest.

When a large troop of Free Adventurers arrived, they happened to witness this scene where the great army of the Rain Listeners clashed head-on with the Blood Oath Alliance. Surprisingly, it was the Heavy Cavalry of the Blood Oath Alliance who were being pushed back.

People watched with amazement as a beam of silver light streaked between the Pyramids, finally landing securely on top of one. Then, a burst of light scattered from behind the silver light, falling into the ranks of the Blood Oath Alliance, bursting into a brilliant explosion of light.

It was a truly spectacular sight.

Almost everyone instinctively activated the recording function of their Summoners System, for one doesn’t get to witness such an exciting guild war all the time.

The leader, a bit irked, turned around and yelled at them, ”What are you still watching!? Isn’t this an opportunity?” He was filled with admiration for the Combat Artisan youth who had saved their lives—how on earth did that guy predict all this?

At the same time, he raised his weapon high and shouted, ”Come on, follow me!”

”Annihilate the dogs of the Blood Oath Alliance!”

”Charge!”

A torrent was gathering in the midst of the Forest, surging towards the center of the battlefield.
