Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 863: Chapter 515: Truly a God

Xu Xin felt a tightening in his heart.

The main event is coming!

This is what he most wanted to know!

What exactly is the current situation of this group of survivors?

”You are the hope we leave for the future,” Xu Xin in the image began to speak.

Beside him, Xu Ying pursed her lips and whispered, ”Though the hope isn’t very big...”

”... Yingying.”

”Yes, yes, I’ll shut up...” Xu Ying in the image turned her head away.

Xu Xin could see that Xu Ying’s expression was actually a bit worried at this moment.

That feeling clearly showed her concern for the future.

Worry for an elusive future.

”Because we assumed from the beginning that when disaster strikes, our chances of winning are almost zero, so from the start, we staked our hope on a real future.”

Xu Xin seemed to somewhat understand, but said nothing, continuing to listen to his narrative.

”With our activities, as outsiders returning from a false future, the real future of this world is also constantly changing.”

Xu Xin nodded slightly.

Previously, just the newcomers’ arrival caused the future to collapse, creating a new future. If they all rushed back on a large scale this time, it’s impossible for there to be no changes.

But no... if the future becomes false again, wouldn’t the survivors sent to the future also be doomed...?

”Fortunately, although this future is undergoing slight changes, it has not collapsed, only altered a little, not impacting the whole future image.”

So, the future may have changed, but not significantly, so it remains a real future and has not collapsed?

”Perhaps it’s because when we returned to the past, our goal was clear from the start, which was to save Earth, so the future changed. But the subsequent series of actions did not affect this result, so the future didn’t collapse because everything is still moving toward this future direction.”

Xu Xin’s eyes widened slightly.

Doesn’t the future shatter once changed?

”Maybe you’ve already thought of it,” Xu Xin in the image showed a slight smile on his face, ”Ordinary changes to the future won’t shatter it. The future isn’t that fragile. Only very drastic changes will break the future.”

Xu Xin’s eyes moved.

Then why did their future shatter at that time?

The words of Xu Xin in the image explained Xu Xin’s doubts: ”When we understood this phenomenon, everyone’s emotions became excited.”

”Perhaps because our arrival successfully saved Earth, preventing Earth from becoming a colony in the universe and a nurturing ground for alien invaders, the future underwent huge changes. The future where we were completely colonized turned into a false future because maybe Earth won’t become a colony!”

”Huh?” Xu Ying, who had been silently listening, suddenly turned her head to look at him, eyes filled with disbelief, ”What do you mean? Is there such a theory? Why didn’t I know?”

Xu Xin in the image glanced at her. ”Because we discovered this situation before you came.”

”Then why didn’t you tell me!”

”Oh... forgot.”

”You...!”

Xu Xin thought for a moment and understood.

When did they first feel the future starting to become fragmented? It was after those newcomers returned to the past.

At that time, the gears of the world began to undergo significant changes.

From then on, a new world emerged, and the old world started to fracture and blur.

And all they did later was to push the new world forward.

”Of course, this is just our theory. The future indeed changed, but it may not necessarily change in a direction that benefits us, so we began to meticulously explore the new future.”

”At that time, the energy stored in the highest-spec time machine could only allow for a total of about two thousand years of time travel, because a return was required, so we could only travel across a millennium at most.”

”And you were sent to the furthest future the time machine could control, a thousand years later. We can’t return to the world a thousand years later, so we can only explore within this thousand-year span.”

Xu Xin slightly frowned.

According to the cosmic laws they mentioned, can they... really explore the future?

For example, if he traveled a month into the future, did something there, then traveled back, and lived until a month later, wouldn’t he encounter himself who traveled from a month ago?

Wouldn’t this again create a situation that violates the laws of the cosmos?

”You might be thinking, would I encounter myself from the future in this world?” Xu Xin in the image guessed his thoughts again and smiled, ”You don’t need to worry about that. For example, if an ordinary person were to time travel, would they consider whether they still exist two hundred years later? As long as they return to their original time to live, the ’them’ two hundred years later would have long perished.”

”And the time we’ve been able to exist in this world was completely exhausted when the disaster struck.”

As he said this, his figure suddenly flickered and appeared somewhat illusory.
