Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 851: Chapter 511: The Secrets of the World Behind the Door_2

She pointed to the passage leading downstairs: ”Should we go down and look for a key?”

”Opening this door is pointless, isn’t it?” Lou Fei’Er dismissed her, ”It’s just a door, after all. There’s nothing in front or behind it. Why bother opening it?”

”Um... could it be?” Zeng Tao wavered a bit, ”What if, after opening it, it’s... a portal?”

”It’s possible,” Xu Xin nodded.

”Right!” Encouraged by Xu Xin’s affirmation, Zeng Tao got excited, ”Let’s go down and search for the key. It must be down there!”

”You really think this is like exploring a castle in a game...” Lou Fei’Er was a bit speechless.

”We don’t need to go down,” Xu Xin reached out and touched, pulling out the ancient bronze dagger from his backpack.

This ancient bronze dagger had been kept in his backpack all along.

[Ancient Bronze Dagger (Gold): A mysterious ancient dagger, worn by time, its blade is extremely fragile and easily damaged; it’s best not used for attacking.

A dagger that can unlock the world’s secrets, a key to opening a certain door.]

A dagger that unlocks the world’s secrets, a key to opening a certain door.

Everything fits perfectly with the current situation.

No doubt about it, this is the ancient dagger needed right now!

And behind this door...

The world’s secrets?

”This is...” Behind him, Shi Wanyun’s eyes flashed with light, and her fingers trembled slightly.

”This should be the key here.”

Xu Xin looked up towards the keyhole above.

The door was five meters tall, with the keyhole about five meters high, positioned in the center of the immense door.

Apart from the keyhole, the entire giant door was made of crystal, incredibly solid and heavy, yet also very smooth.

Even if ordinary people find this key, opening the door would be almost impossible.

However, this was not a problem for Xu Xin now.

He now had enhanced jumping ability.

”Huh? There’s a key?!” Zeng Tao, initially looking towards the lower level, suddenly turned around, ”Where?”

”Ah... a bronze dagger?” Lou Fei’Er was a little dazed, ”Why does it look so much like a relic?”

Jin Yue and Shi Wanyun also gathered to observe the ancient bronze dagger in Xu Xin’s hand.

When Qin Fu gave this key to Xu Xin, only Li Wenxi was present, so only Xu Xin and Li Wenxi knew about the key; none of the others were aware.

”This is a gold-level dagger,” Xu Xin held up the dagger, then with a step, jumped four or five meters on the spot, amidst the shocked gazes of the women around him.

The door had no handle, nothing for him to grasp, so he controlled the force of his jump, aligning his highest point with the keyhole, and in that moment of suspension at the peak, he directly pointed the ancient bronze dagger towards the keyhole and inserted it!

Highly successful.

The size of the keyhole perfectly matched the ancient bronze dagger, and under his precise technique, the dagger inserted into the keyhole with a resounding ”clang.”

Xu Xin released his grip on the bronze dagger and landed on the ground rather than continue holding onto it.

He dared not continue gripping the dagger, considering the introduction explicitly stating that the blade was fragile and easily damaged.

It would be troublesome if he ended up snapping it.

”It really went in!” Zeng Tao exclaimed, ”Is it truly a key? Where did you get this key?”

”Not obtained here, was it?” Shi Wanyun’s gaze shifted from the door to Xu Xin, ”Did you bring it in from outside?”

Since entering, Xu Xin had always been within her sight, and she hadn’t seen where he got this ancient bronze dagger.

”Yes, Qin Fu brought it in. That Blood Pattern Giant came here for this thing,” Xu Xin explained, staring at the giant door.

”What?” Lou Fei’Er and Zeng Tao both cried out in surprise, and Jin Yue’s eyes also widened.

Xu Xin, however, frowned slightly.

The giant door showed no reaction after the bronze dagger was inserted.

At the keyhole, only the handle remained motionless, presenting a rusty appearance under the luminous white shimmer.

Could it be that it still needs to be turned like a key?

Immediately, Xu Xin jumped on the spot, reaching the height of the keyhole, grabbed the bronze dagger’s handle, and twisted it clockwise.

The ancient dagger in his hand rotated easily, followed by the entire circular recessed metallic keyhole.

”It’s turning!” Zeng Tao cheered below!

”Click.”

Xu Xin landed, and then an unusual sensation surged in his heart.

This door is peculiar!

”Back up, everyone back up!” Xu Xin immediately leaped backward, speaking aloud.

The few women heeded his words with caution and retreated along with him several steps.

This door, under their movement, emitted increasingly intense bright white light!

From the original soft glow, it gradually became dazzling!

It even began to crowd their vision!

”This light, treasures must be about to emerge!” Zeng Tao shielded her eyes with her hand, squinting through her fingers at the door, speaking excitedly.

The others did the same, despite the blinding light, no one wanting to miss the moment the door opened.

”Boom!”

After a booming sound, the entire door opened a crack.

Purple-black light spilled out from the gap!

This color was extremely familiar to them!

”Portal! Portal color! I knew this was a portal!” Zeng Tao was even more thrilled.
