Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 856: Chapter 512: The Truth of the World: Future and Past!

The image of Xu Xin picked up a piece of crystal nearby and squeezed it tightly. When he released his hand, a clear handprint had appeared on the crystal.

”Hiss...” Xu Xin took a sharp breath.

This crystal, which even a purple-grade steel weapon couldn’t damage in the slightest, was so easily imprinted with a handprint by the image of himself?!

Putting down the crystal, the image of Xu Xin spoke: ”The situation later was that to make us obey, this group of alien creatures adopted a stick-and-carrot approach. After injecting us with a more advanced mutation serum, we had to follow them, but correspondingly, they also gave us part of their technology.”

”That indeed was far beyond Earth’s technology, which shocked us immensely at the time, giving rise to a deep sense of helplessness. Coupled with the effects of mutation, we couldn’t resist them mentally and would even fanatically pursue them; this was a characteristic of the mutation they researched. As a result, most people directly chose to follow.”

Fanatical following...

He had also tasted the benefits of this characteristic.

Lou Fei’Er, Ma Hongwei, and the others were still being controlled by him in a similar way up to now.

”However, among us, there was still a very small number of people who were not affected subjectively. Although unable to disobey their orders, they internally rejected it immensely, hating to the point of madness.”

”They were, after all, the enemies who killed our relatives and the enemies who destroyed our homes.” The image of Xu Xin squinted his eyes, and his voice became low.

But then he returned to normal, and continued: ”Yingying and I were among those people. It was easy to distinguish us from them; those completely controlled had an extremely excitable mental state and noticeably gave off a... somewhat foolish feeling?”

Somewhat foolish?

Luckily Lou Fei’Er and the others didn’t become foolish... but their Spiritual Power did indeed decrease significantly after mutation.

”We soon gathered some trustworthy people, and according to the information we obtained, after invading a planet, they only left a few behind to oversee, so we planned to take further action after their main force departed.”

”However, for some reason, they didn’t collectively withdraw as we imagined, but instead took here, took Earth, as their main observation target! It seems they discovered an unknown power they wanted to control on this planet.”

An unknown power they wanted to control?

...Beast bloodline?

This is probably talking about the beast bloodline!

But just now, in the story of the image of Xu Xin, there seemed to be no mention of the beast bloodline.

What exactly is this...

”It’s the beast bloodline,” the image Xu Xin said with a smile, ”You should have long encountered the beast, right? The beast on your timeline should have appeared long ago and should have developed quite well by now.”

...What on earth is he talking about? Xu Xin was utterly confused.

”Let’s continue with our story. Although those alien creatures did not collectively retreat, they gradually relaxed their control over us, since we were already mutated and viewed as obedient slaves in their eyes.”

”Moreover, although they’ve invaded many planets, most of the planets around the solar system, even within the Milky Way, do not have intelligent life. The planets that do mostly have undeveloped life forms, and they consider this a low-level star system, completely looking down on us and basically not guarding against us.”

”So, we also managed to do some of the things we could do.”

”Brother!” At this point, in the image, Xu Ying, who had been boringly resting her chin on her hand, suddenly interrupted him.

”We don’t have much time left; they’re coming soon! You still have to record the next image, so don’t get into so much detail. Quickly tell this young man his current situation, the rest doesn’t really matter whether he knows or not!”

Xu Xin’s mouth twitched, and he felt a bit annoyed.

Yingying, even though the image of you is older than I am, I still want to teach you a lesson...

”Oh right...” The image of Xu Xin shook his head, ”Those who don’t know what’s on the back of the planet, indeed cannot know too much yet. Otherwise, it will...”

Will what?

”I won’t say much more, after that, we quickly developed a new mutation serum, which neutralized our own mutation, freeing us completely from their control.”

”And about three hundred sixty-seven years later, the hidden team with me at the core, utilizing their technology and a clearer mind after mutation, finally invented the device we most needed. A device that could truly change our fate, change the fate of the world.”

...?

How many years?

Three hundred... how many years?!

”Time machine.”

...What?
