The Incubus System

Chapter 845: Whatʼs The Big Plan?

The Incubus System Chapter 835. Whatʼs The Big Plan?

ʼDo you have any solution?ʼ I asked him, flicking my gaze at him.

Lord Damon shot back, a hint of frustration lacing his response.

ʼWhat makes you think Iʼve got all the answers? Didnʼt I just say I only know what my old man told me in bedtime tales?ʼ His eyes held a tinge of irritation, not directed at me.

I let out a heavy breath. ʼSo, you donʼt have any thoughts, any inkling, anything at all?ʼ

If only I could provide some lead or hint, but accessing the border?

It was a big nope in my book. I lacked any information about the guardian or the border.

With two demon lords and one guardian in the mix, I couldnʼt crunch the numbers or make any sort of prediction. Jumping into that situation blindly would be a suicide mission.

This time, it was Lord Damonʼs turn to release a long sigh.

ʼIʼm just as clueless. Itʼs a lose-lose situation at this point. Weʼre between a rock and a hard place,ʼ he concurred.

I could empathize with his demeanor. He was a king among demons, ancient beyond measure. His pride was as towering as a skyscraper. Not comprehending matters related to our demon ilk was enough to grind his gears.

ʼWe need a game plan, some way to crack this nut without blowing ourselves into oblivion,ʼ I said.

Lord Damon nodded. ʼWeʼve got to figure out something. This isnʼt just about our pride; itʼs about the balance of our realms,ʼ he mused.

Lord Damon and I fell into a silence. But then, ideas buzzed in my mind, ranging from dispatching investigators to holding Beel and Zatanʼs city, basically staking our claim on their turf. But those two didnʼt seem bothered. It all seemed like a dead-end street.

ʼMaybe we should pay a visit to their turf,ʼ Lord Damon suddenly suggested.

I blinked, fixing my attention back on him. ʼWhat do you mean?ʼ

He met my gaze. ʼNot ʼweʼ, but specifically me. While you guard the other end. If the human world falls into their hands, theyʼll have a field day, building armies and expanding their dominion faster. That worldʼs a gold mine for demons,ʼ he explained.

I scratched my head, weighing the options. It made sense; the human world, with its abundant resources and unsuspecting populace, was a greater prospect for those power-hungry demons.

ʼAlright, so while youʼre diving into their territories, Iʼll be the gatekeeper on the other side, making sure nothing sneaks through,ʼ I summarized.

Lord Damon nodded, his expression resolute. ʼWe canʼt risk the human world falling into their hands. Thatʼd be a disaster waiting to happen,ʼ he affirmed. It was time to roll the dice and hope for the best. ṟäŊo͍𝐁Еś

Beel, that slimy demon, had this freaky ability to churn out his own soldiers like pesky amoebas.

And where did they end up? Just inside innocent humans of course. It was a match made in some twisted demon heaven. Plus, the rumors, whispers about how feasting on humans could turbocharge a demonʼs power. No one could verify the facts, but the belief was there.

ʼAlso, Iʼll get Irien on the line to speed up the armor production and send Syntyche to the human world to have your back. Her Spyder will be a gem there since thatʼs where those two wanna be tyrants will be setting up shop. Theyʼve probably bailed on everything they had here,ʼ Lord Damon chimed in.

ʼAlright, spill it. Whatʼs the big plan? Whatʼs your game once you step into their playground?ʼ I prodded.
