The Incubus System Chapter 807. Crazy Yandereʼs Obsession III

Rubyʼs words were filled with a bitter madness.

”You are crazy,” I muttered under my breath, unable to hide the disbelief and unease in my voice.

She snapped, her eyes blazing with a manic intensity. ”Yes! Iʼm crazy because of you, Ethan! And I blame you for it! You shouldnʼt have saved me from that thug at the café if you didnʼt want me! Yet you saved me! But when I fell for you, you pushed me away. How cruel are you? How unfair is it? You should love me, Ethan! You made me fall for you, so you should only fall for me! You should only belong to me!”

I couldnʼt deny that this level of obsession was beyond anything I had ever experienced. Rubyʼs emotions had spun out of control.

As she circled around the chair I was bound to, her fingers grazed my face, neck, and shoulders. I had to admit that her touch was unsettling, but I needed to keep my composure.

ʼShit,ʼ I thought. ʼSheʼs even crazier than I thought.ʼ But deep down, I knew that her actions, as bizarre and dangerous as they were, had a purpose. She had gone to great lengths to ”save” me from the senator, and I couldnʼt dismiss her actions as mere insanity.

Rubyʼs grip on my shirt tightened, and she leaned in close, her breath hot against my ear. ”Ethan, you canʼt deny that thereʼs something between us,” she whispered, her voice low and husky. ”Iʼve seen the way you look at me, the way you care about me. You canʼt deny that you feel it too.”

I had to tread carefully. If I could get her to open up about her feelings, maybe I could find a way to reason with her. ”Ruby, I do care about you,” I admitted cautiously. ”But what youʼre doing now, itʼs not the way to express your feelings. Youʼve taken this too far.”

She pulled back, her eyes locked onto mine, searching for any sign of reciprocation. ”I had to do this, Ethan. You donʼt understand. They were going to take you away from me, from us. I couldnʼt let that happen. Weʼre meant to be together.”

”Thatʼs not love, Ruby…” I retorted, my displeasure evident in my voice.

She halted in front of me, her fingers firmly gripping my cheeks as she tilted my head up to meet her gaze. ”No... It is love. Thatʼs true love. Iʼd give everything for you. So you have to give everything for me,” she insisted, her tone oozing with resentment.

I maintained my defiant gaze. ”But what if I donʼt want that? Have you ever considered what I desire, what I want?” I challenged her, my eyes locked onto hers.

At that moment, I was assessing her suitability as a potential partner or servant. Her extreme fixation on me was a double-edged sword, and I needed to determine if she could be molded into something useful or if she was a lost cause. This situation had gone far beyond mere infatuation.

A manic grin stretched across her lips, and I couldnʼt help but wonder if perhaps this situation had pushed her further into madness.

”Sometimes a personʼs desires can get them into trouble, Ethan. In this case... I might be compelled to deny your wishes, to protect you from the chaos that could ensue. But rest assured, Iʼll give you something even better,” she said, her hand patting my cheek with an eerie tenderness.

I couldnʼt help but think, ʼNope, she canʼt be my partner.ʼ Her colossal ego and unpredictable nature were a recipe for disaster. However, binding her as my servant was an option, though a risky one. She was a demon hunter, and I had no way of knowing how her powers would react to mine. While Emmaʼs powers had integrated smoothly, the same might not hold true for Ruby. If I made her my servant, sheʼd essentially become a demon herself.

Ruby continued to circle me, her fingers occasionally brushing against my skin. Her eyes never left mine, a fiery intensity burning within them. It was as if she believed that her unwavering fixation on me could bend my will to hers.

I let out an exasperated sigh, my patience wearing thin. ”You really donʼt get it, do you?” I muttered, half to myself.

But Ruby, standing there with a manic glint in her eyes, didnʼt seem to care about my frustration. In her mind, there was only room for one thing - an obsession that had grown out of control.

”No... As long as itʼs with you... I donʼt mind that,” she replied, her voice a bizarre mix of affection and derangement.

She stroked my face once more, her touch both unsettling and oddly intimate. I couldnʼt help but flinch away from her hand, but that only seemed to excite her more.

”Now... Less talk,” she whispered, leaning in closer. Her breath was warm against my ear, but her words sent a chill down my spine. ”We will start your purification.”

”Purification?” I repeated, feigning innocence. I wanted to keep her talking, to gain insight into her twisted mind.

She nodded enthusiastically, her eyes never leaving mine. ”Yes, purification. Iʼll cleanse you of all those other womenʼs influence. Youʼll only remember me, Ethan.”
