Child of Destiny

Chapter 2087: Dragon Cavalier versus Mountain Golem (Part 2)

...

BOOM!

Along with the massive explosion, Arthur and his dragon mount were forced to retreat while his opponent was sent skidding back and drawing deep trails on the ground.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Both sides forcefully halted their retreat, starting at one another before launching themselves at each other once again.

Arthur urged his dragon mount to move ahead, making it flap its wings hard and fly straight toward their opponent.

Bang!

Swoosh!

Earrusall, on the other hand, kicked the ground hard to launch himself high up in the air and charged straight to the incoming pair.

Bang!

Swoosh!

Midair, they quickly engaged in intense battle, causing massive explosions in every collision.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Earrusall tried to smash the opposing side with his overwhelming power and extreme defense, planning to tank most of Arthurʼs attacks while throwing a powerful attack of his own.

He was taking the brute method of fighting, which was mostly called ʼyou-hit-me, I-hit-you-harderʼ.

It was clear that he had an advantage when it came to raw power and defense, so such exchanges were favorable for him.

Unfortunately, Arthur relied on his highly advanced techniques to outperform his opponent, especially when it came to aerial battle.

Having a flying mount greatly highlighted his advantage in the air, even though his opponent was somewhat capable of flying with the help of gravity control.

This also showed everyone how the future aerial battle would most likely be once more players gained their flying mounts.

…

Swoosh!

In the air, Arthur raised his spear, holding it in a throwing position, while also gathering a huge amount of dragon powers into it.

Boom!

A sonic boom immediately erupted right after the spear left his hand, creating a series of overlapping shockwaves on its path.

Roar!

Not long after, a huge ice dragon appeared, engulfing the spear. It opened its mouth wide, seemingly trying to devour the stone golem before it.

BOOM!

In response, Earrusall swung his battle hammers as strongly as he could, generating a series of shockwaves that bombarded the descending ice dragon and destroyed it in the process.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Earrusall was preparing for a quick counter when a glacial dragon suddenly emerged from the cloud of chaotic energy before him.

Roar!

It pounced at him, biting on one of his arms and refusing to let go.

Grr!

Earrusall tried to shake off the dragon by waving his arm, but the latter refused and clung to him even harder.

It even swung its claws at him consistently, trying to fight back and attempting to deal some injury or at least crack the earthen armor that was protecting Earrusall.

Whoosh!

When Earrusall was about to swing his other battle hammer at the glacial dragon, Arthur suddenly appeared on the opposite side, launching an ambush.

Arthur held the spear with both of his hands while channeling his dragon powers into it before suddenly throwing a series of stabs that transformed into a swarm of dragons from his opponentʼs perspective.

ʼTrue Nine Dragon Arts: Dragon Nestʼ

Roar! Roar! Roar!

Grr!

Earrusall was about to defend himself with his other battle hammer when the glacial dragon biting on his other arm suddenly pulled while flapping its wings, throwing him off.

Left without much of a choice, Earrusall could only tank this attack while turning his attention to the glacial dragon and attempting to smash it into smithereens.

Swoosh!

Unfortunately, the glacial dragon immediately let go right before he could even execute his plan.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

At the same time, his side was repeatedly bombarded by the strikes coming from the other side. His balance was thrown off once again, which made him unable to catch the glacial dragon.

Bang!

In response, Earrusall suddenly turned, facing Arthur.

Swoosh!

Arthur was in the middle of retreat and about to regroup with his dragon mount when mud clays suddenly surrounded him and wrapped themselves around his body, preventing him from going anywhere.

WHOOSH!

A loud sound immediately followed, which indicated the incoming attack of his opponent.

Raising his head, Arthur immediately saw Earrusall rushing at him at extreme speed while raising both his battle hammers over his shoulder.

Whoosh!

The latter was bout to slam Arthur with this powerful attack when the glacial dragon suddenly came straight at him and planned to slam its body to save its master.

Seeing this, Earrusall could not suppress the grin underneath his earthen helmet, seemingly expecting this to happen.

He was planning to use this opportunity to lure this cunning little dragon, making it easier for him to deal with it.

Swoosh!

Forcefully halting his advance by manipulating the gravity within the air, Earrusall suddenly turned and swiftly headed straight to the glacial dragon instead.

WHOOSH!

His actions were a bit too sudden, making it impossible for the glacial dragon to respond in time.

The pair of battle hammers was already upon it when it finally managed to halt its advance and awas bout to retreat.

On the other hand, Arthur, who was supposed to be trapped by the mud clay wrapping all around his body, was unknowingly wearing a mocking smirk under his Dragon Helmet.

It was already too late when Earrusall realized that there was something wrong with the glacial dragon before him.

The danger sense that he had just kicked in when he saw that the glacial dragon in front of him released an intense light that illuminated the entire surroundings, almost blinding him.

BOOM!

In the next moment, a massive explosion suddenly erupted, sending a strong and chilling current in every direction along with sharp ice fragments that stabbed into his earth armor.

With the power of the earlier explosion, a portion of his earth armor was destroyed, somewhat exposing a few of his vulnerable parts.

This then allowed the sharp ice fragments to fly to these exposed parts.

Clank! Clank! Clank!

Unfortunately, they were all blocked by the sturdy armor that Earrusall was wearing under it.

Bang!

Right at the same time, while Earrusall was currently stunned in place, Arthur forcefully freed himself from the mud clay that was restricting his movements and immediately launched an attack toward his opponent.

The chilling aura that exploded earlier immediately toward him, especially toward the spear that he was wielding.

Swoosh!

This formed a chilling flame that covered the entire spear while Arthur thrust it forward, straight to his opponentʼs chest.

Roar!

At the same time, a massive dragon head suddenly emerged and engulfed him, opening its mouth wide and about to devour its opponent.

ʼTrue Nine Dragon Arts: Imperial Tactics (Ice Version) – Breaking Through of the Ice Dragonʼ

Roar!

Earrusall, who was frozen in place, attempted to turn around and raised his strongest defensive skill.

BOOM!

Unfortunately, he was a bit too late due to his stiff movements caused by the earlier explosion. The attack already landed on him before his protective skill was fully activated.

(-200,324)

Swoosh!

Almost a quarter of his health bar was erased by this successful hit coming from Arthur.

Fortunately, it was not powerful enough to instantly kill him due to his high defense and massive health bar.

He was still relatively fine despite receiving such a powerful attack head-on.

Swoosh!

However, he was not in a position to rejoice because Arthurʼs next course of action became even more intense than earlier.

Roar!

From the sky, a massive dragon was descending straight at him, its mouth wide open, about to devour him.

Roar!

In response, Earrusall immediately stomped into the ground, making the mud and boulders rise from the muddy swamp.

Bang!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

They then transformed into a huge construct that immediately pounced straight at the descending dragon, resulting in a massive collision.

BOOM!

Both sides immediately crumbled under the powerful impact.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Bits of ice and rocks fell from the sky along with frozen mud and thick mist.

Swoosh!

Amid this hail, Arthur suddenly appeared and fell into the swamp.

Bang!

He sent the surrounding mud in every direction, having a clear landing point.

Seeing this, Earrusall immediately attempted to utilize the surrounding terrain to his advantage. After all, this region was a home ground that he had created, meant for situations like this.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Groups of mud serpents swarmed at Arthur alongside constructs made of earth element.

Roar!

Unfortunately, before they could even reach him, his pet that had transformed into a glacial dragon suddenly descended beside its master, sending a powerful shockwave in every direction.

BOOM!

This shockwave was not ordinary either because it was accompanied by a strong and chilling current that somewhat halted their advance.

Seeing this pair of master and dragon, Earrusall could not help but raise his brows.

”Feeling confident about challenging me in my territory, huh?” he mumbled before summoning a bunch of constructs that were made from mud and earth element.

Along with a mocking grin, he gestured to his constructs to initiate an attack. ”Go!”

Boom!

Roar! Roar!

From the receiving end, Arthur tilted his neck left and right, producing a series of cracking sounds.

”Come!” he said along with a provoking gesture.
