Child of Destiny

Chapter 2063: A Dragon and A King Cobra (Part 5)

...

Roar!

Right after the thunderous roar reverberated throughout the battlefield, Arthur was suddenly bathed in a golden light that immediately enhanced his overall powers.

At the same time, a huge shadow was cast over his body before a massive ice construct emerged from underneath his feet.

This ice construct then transformed into a huge ice dragon that could not be contained by the thick poison miasma that was slowly spreading and trapping him from every direction.

At the same time, Arthur channeled his dragon powers into the ice dragon construct, seemingly giving it life.

Roar!

Right after its ʼawakeningʼ, the ice dragon opened its wings wide while releasing a powerful gust of wind that pushed the poison miasma away.

However, just like what Arthur had sensed earlier, this poison miasma seemed to be alive and further spun rapidly around them, seemingly provoked by the ice dragonʼs actions.

Realizing that this poison miasma was much stranger and more powerful than he originally thought, Arthur urged the ice dragon construct to fly, escaping from the encirclement.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

It was a powerful leap and strong flap of its wings; the ice dragon flew in the sky while Arthur activated the passive abilities of his Dragon Cavalier Class to resonate with it.

With all these buffs, the overall power of these abilities of this ice dragon construct was further enhanced while also making it more alive.

However, that was not the end yet, since Arthur had also summoned his Golden Dragon Pet, which was swiftly engulfed by the huge ice construct and seemed to have fused with it.

Roar!

With all of these, the massive ice dragon construct seemed to have transformed into a true ice dragon.

Roar!

It released a majestic roar that seemed to be announcing its presence to the world.

…

In the meantime, there were also some changes from the poison miasma.

Arthur saw that the green miasma seemed to have slowly contracted, forming a blurry figure. However, he seemed to have gotten an idea of what it was, especially when he could already vaguely see the image that it was trying to project.

Not long after, poison miasma finally showed its true form. It was a massive cobra made entirely of poison.

Its size could rival the ice dragon that Arthur had summoned, particularly its extreme length and the thickness of its body.

The jade-like scales that it had seemed to have three kinds of luster that kept flashing from time to time.

Its eyes were glowing with pale green light while raising its head and opening its hood. It stared at the ice dragon flying in the air along with its master, Cobra, who was standing on top of its head.

ʼForbidden Poison Manipulation Scroll (Psudo Tier 4): Construct Creation – King Cobraʼ

Hiss! Hiss!

The two monsters had a staredown just like their respective masters, seemingly filling the atmosphere with the intense sparks their gazes created after meeting in the air.

Not long after, the two sides seemed to have a tacit agreement, moving almost at the same time.

The ice dragon opened its mouth while breathing out a cold and violent gust of wind.

Whoosh!

ʼPsudo Dragonʼs Breath (Ice Dragon): Winterʼs Froreʼ

Roar!

A snow-white breath was released from the mouth of the ice dragon, which swiftly turned into a violent and destructive storm in winter.

It was not just an ordinary snowstorm. It was a hurricane of ice that was sweeping through everything that it went through.

Hiss!

In the meantime, Cobra urged the poison snake underneath his feet to use its deadly attack in response.

The massive poison cobra opened its huge mouth and spat out huge and thick poison breath that immediately flew straight at the incoming attack.

This poison breath seemed to contain multiple toxins of different levels, creating an extremely dangerous mixture. The chemical reaction that was created by combining these poisons seemed to even melt anything that it touched.

If the ice dragonʼs breath seemed to be able to freeze the space, then this poison breath could change the nature of the space into an extremely lethal poison due to its extreme toxicity.

ʼKing Cobra Skill (Breath): Toxic Destructionʼ

BOOM!

The two breaths clashed in the air, creating an intense collision of powers.

Neither side wanted to back down, maintaining their respective powers that were clashing in the form of blazing torrents in the air.

The reaction that the space had gotten from this collision seemed to be quite a serious one, especially when it had shown intense signs of collapsing.

Snap! Snap!

Cracks were already appearing in the space surrounding the point of collision before turning into a bunch of spatial tears, which were clear signs of collapse.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

It was also at that time that the powers coming from both sides fully exhausted themselves, causing them to stop temporarily.

However, that was not the end since they immediately continued.

Arthur still stood haughtily on the head of the ice dragon while releasing an overwhelming dragon power that swiftly gathered behind him, which swiftly turned into multiple swirling energies in the air.

Not long after, dozens of huge glaciers appeared in the sky, hovering behind Arthur and the ice dragon like small floating mountains.

A moment later, these glaciers started falling from the sky like ice meteors falling from beyond the heavens.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Seeing this, Cobra swiftly urged the giant king cobra under him, responding to the incoming attacks.

Hiss!

With an angry hiss, the king cobra breathed out a thick poison mist that surrounded its body, which swiftly transformed into a bunch of smaller poison snakes.

These poison snakes merged and transformed into huge pikes pointing toward the sky and facing the incoming glaciers.

They formed a pit of spikes in the ground, filling the surroundings with tall, sharp, and pointed pillars.

”Go!”

With a commanding shout, these poison pillars started flying straight to the sky, facing the incoming ʼhailʼ of huge glaciers.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Numerous flashes of green light flew upwards before clashing against the incoming glaciers.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The collisions resulted in multiple explosions, signifying how intense the clashes between the two side.

Despite how hard and huge the glaciers falling from the sky were, the needle-like pillars were still able to melt and destroy them in the process.

Cobra knew that these glaciers were not just meant to crush him with their overwhelming power and absurd size. He could tell that there was a series of runes engraved on their surface, hiding the powerful spells sealed within them.

If he just destroyed them and let the scattered fragments fall to the ground, Cobra knew that he would pay dearly. This was why he chose to use the extreme toxicity of the poisons that formed those giant needle pillars to melt the glaciers or at least destroy those runes, rendering them useless.

These needle pillars accurately hit the core of each magic circle engraved on the glaciers and spread their poisons to melt the rest of it, causing a failure in their entire system.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The glaciers exploded one after another in the air, creating chaos in the surrounding space once again.

At the same time, two kinds of powers started to operate and converged on their sides.

One of them turned into a violent storm of ice and snow that could freeze and seal everything with its powers, while the other became an eerie mist of poison that seemed to be capable of contaminating and devouring everything.

They separated and created two territories that the ice dragon and king cobra controlled.

Under their respective authority, everything within these territories obeyed their commands.

Roar!

Hiss!

Not long after, the two sides immediately resumed their battle, clashing multiple times with the powers that they wielded.

The ice dragon created multiple ice constructs and threw them toward the opposing side along with the icy storm that it had summoned.

A winter storm filled the sky and started attacking Cobra and the massive poison snake underneath his feet.

In the meantime, Cobra and his own construct manipulated the surrounding poison mist, turning into different states depending on the situation.

The poison that they controlled sometimes solidified and became constructs. At other times, they were in a liquified state, melting the surrounding ice constructs with their extreme toxicity. Then, they turned into gas that filled the surroundings, contaminating and poisoning everything that they touched.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Intense clashes erupted between the two sides.

Arthur and Cobra even used a few more powerful and destructive skills alongside the others that their respective beast were using.

Arthur had even fused his spear techniques into the ice constructs that the ice dragon had created to execute them on a much larger and more destructive scale.

He had incorporated all his techniques into the set of skills and abilities that a Dragon Cavalier had.

Roar!

In the meantime, Cobra seemed to have infused all his powers into the poison-snake construct he had created.

Moreover, he was controlling it as if it were a part of his limbs.

However, the most troublesome ability he had was the ability to give that giant poison snake construct all his abilities. This included the stealth and cloning skills that he had in his arsenal.

Even with the help of the ice constructs, Arthur still found it hard to deal with the multiple giant snakes that seemed to be alive under Cobraʼs control.

This made the battle between the two more intense than ever.
