Child of Destiny

Chapter 2086: Dragon Cavalier versus Mountain Golem

...

A swamp dragon was a hybrid dragon that evolved from a certain swamp creature that inherited the bloodline of a true dragon.

It was said that this creature had become a mythical fish that underwent multiple evolutions and a series of awakenings.

Its power was mostly related to mud, which was the combination of earth and water elements.

If the Mountain Dragon was a True Dragon, which mostly focused on hardness and defense, then a Swamp Dragon was a Hybrid Dragon that had the power to soften the ground and turn it into a deadly swamp.

…

Arthur pursed his lips a little, finding this matchup quite interesting. ”I want to enjoy this for as much as I can. Unfortunately, I have already gotten my fill from that Mountain Dragon, so it is time to test the true abilities of their master rather than his little pets.”

He then suddenly raised his spear was also giving a silent signal to his Glacial Dragon.

Roar!

A moment later, the size of the dragon rapidly shrunk, matching the size of the original size of his golden dragon pet.

This also allowed Arthur to ride it properly, making him appear to be a true Dragon Cavalier.

At the same time, he and his dragon mount seemed to become one in the eyes of those who had seen him, especially when their respective auras had merged perfectly.

Roar!

With yet another thunderous roar, the entire battlefield shook, which also happened to affect the two colossal dragons on the ground.

There might be a huge difference in terms of size, but these two colossal dragons were greatly lacking when it came to the purity of their bloodline, especially when compared to the dragons on Arthurʼs side.

The Mountain Dragon might be faring slightly better, but the combination of the three dragon royalties gathered in one body provides more suppression in comparison.

This somewhat overwhelmed the Mountain Dragon despite its tribeʼs majored in tenacity aside from strong defense and destructive raw power.

If even the Mountain Dragon was somewhat struggling, then what more the Swamp Dragon, which was only a Hybrid Dragon despite being a powerful creature itself.

Even if a Swamp Dragon of such level could rival dragons from great tribes to a certain extent, the current pressure that Arthur and his dragon mount was emitting far surpassed that of an elite dragon.

Seeing that his dragons were being suppressed, Earrusall understood that he could no longer rely on these two for this battle. It would be better to fuse with them as well, propelling his strength to a whole other level and matching the current form of his opponent.

”Come!” he shouted, telling the two colossal dragons to fuse with his body.

Roar! Roar!

Immediately after, the sizes of the two colossal dragons rapidly shrank, matching the rate of Arthurʼs Glacial Dragon earlier, before swiftly fusing with his body.

Roar!

Right at the same time, Earrusall had undergone another transformation, causing his size to grow and turning him into a dozen-meter-tall giant.

It was similar to his earlier form with a few differences in terms of overall appearance.

This time, he had sharp fins running down his spine all the way to his tail. The tip of the tail also looked like an earthen hammer filled with sharp spikes.

Standing tall, he raised his head, seemingly giving his opponent a provoking gaze underneath that battle helmet of his.

In the meantime, Arthur, who was hovering in the sky while riding his dragon mount, smirked when he sensed his opponentʼs intention.

He slightly kicked the side of his dragon, urging it to move.

Roar!

With yet another deafening roar, the dragon pet suddenly dove down from the sky and flew straight to their opponent.

Roar!

In response, Earrusall released an equally strong battle cry that nullified the terrifying roar coming from the opposing side.

Bang!

Right after, he suddenly stomped into the ground, making it crack and sending huge debris to rise around him.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Immediately after, they started gathering before him, forming huge spheres with compressed earth elemental mana in them and coated with sticky mud on their surface.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Immediately after, he started swinging his battle hammers, sending these spheres toward his opponent just like earlier.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Seeing this, Arthur could not help but raise his brows and smirk. ”This again? Donʼt you have any other tricks up your sleeves? This is becoming boring.”

At the same time, he raised his spear, conjuring an array of ice spears behind him while also summoning a lightning storm from the sky.

Boom!

Thunder struck, and lightning flashed, bombarding the incoming earthen spheres, which then resulted in intense collisions.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

At the same time, the ice spears also clashed against the incoming attacks, attempting to pierce through them.

”Huh!?”

However, Arthur immediately realized that the opposing side seemed not to be losing at all despite the combined force that he had.

It was his side that seemed to be on the losing end.

”I see,” he mumbled after seeing what was happening.

The mud that was coating the earthen spheres seemed to be meant for absorbing lightning, preventing the earthen spheres from being destroyed by the explosions.

It also helped absorb the force from the ice spheres and acted as some sort of cushion with their combined softness and stickiness.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

This forced Arthur and his dragon mount to dodge each of the giant spheres sent in their direction and survive the bombardment of his abilities.

WHOOSH!

After dodging for quite a while, they encountered an even larger spherical boulder that was thrown at them with extreme precision and great timing.

Its trajectory also sealed all the escape routes, forcing Arthur to face it head-on.

”Hmph!”

Seeing this, Arthur smirked before raising his spear high up in the air while channeling his overwhelming dragon powers into it, forming a towering pillar above his head.

Swoosh!

In the next moment, he suddenly swung it down, making the blazing pillar cleave through the giant boulder and splitting it in half.

Shing!

At the same time, right when the two giant halves of the earthʼs sphere were separated from one another, a part was suddenly revealed before them.

They could fly through this path, but Arthur urged his dragon mount to halt their advance. It was because he suddenly sensed an intense danger coming from that direction.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

As expected, something immediately came after them right after he halted their advance.

Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!

Arthur and his dragon mount were immediately greeted by a swarm of serpentine dragons that came out from each half of the boulder.

These serpentine dragons were made of mud, which clearly indicated that they were made through the powers of the Swamp Dragon.

Arthurʼs eyes opened wide while his pupils contracted along with vertical irises.

Swoosh!

Under the effects of his Dragon Eyes, all the trajectories of the swarming mud serpentine dragons were serpentine despite the complexity of their attacks.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

A moment later, his spear moved and sent a series of icy waves that cut through everything.

All the surrounding serpentine dragons were diced by his slashes. They were also frozen by his ice powers, making sure that they would not grow again.

Boom!

When Arthur was about to continue heading toward his opponent, a powerful shockwave suddenly assaulted him, seemingly trying to send him in the opposite direction.

Roar!

The dragon mount he was riding on suddenly released a strong roar that generated a strong repulsive force that nullified the shockwave that was trying to push them away.

Arthur was about to urge his dragonʼs mouth to continue advancing when he suddenly sensed a sudden pull underneath them.

WHOOSH!

A strong gravitational force suddenly tried to drag them down when they were stopped by the earlier attack.

Swoosh!

While Arthur and his dragon mount were trying to fight against the gravitational pull, a huge shadow was suddenly cast upon them.

Raising his head, Arthur saw Earrusall before them, who looked like a giant earth golem before him.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Immediately after, Earrusall suddenly swung his battle hammers, which had heads that were as huge as Arthur and his dragon mount combined.

Subjected to just an attack, Arthur and his dragon mount moved almost at the same time.

Arthur twirled his spear before stabbing it forward, accurately hitting the center of one of the battle hammers, instantly killing its momentum.

Bang!

His dragon mount, on the other hand, summoned a huge ice wall that blocked the incoming strike.

Bang!

However, despite how sturdy that ice wall was, it was still destroyed within an instant under the might of that huge battle hammer.

Fortunately, it had already served its purpose, weakened the momentum of the battle hammer, and delayed it for a moment.

This, in turn, gave Arthur enough time to swing his spear toward that direction, deflecting its course while his dragon mount dove down to avoid it completely.

Clank!

Swoosh!

Seeing this, Earrusall suddenly increased the weight of his body and strengthened the gravitational pull in that area. This made him descend much faster while the opposing side slowed down, making him catch up to them.

Arthur immediately sensed the sudden shift of gravity, so he swiftly held the reins while urging the dragon to dive into the ground, taking advantage of the strengthened gravity to accelerate their descent.

Swoosh!

When they were about to reach the ground, he suddenly pulled the reins and made the dragon take a sharp turn to the side, dodging the descending hammer that was chasing after them from above.

BOOM!

Drawing a beautiful arc in the air, Arthur returned along with his mount.

Roar!

Engulfing themselves with an overwhelming amount of dragon powers, Arthur and his dragon mount transformed into a massive ice dragon that suddenly came crushing toward his opponent.

Roar!

From the opposing side, Earrusall suddenly stomped his foot into the ground, making it crack and sink.

Boom!

Then the ground itself suddenly softened, turning into a swampy terrain.

Swoosh!

A huge amount of rock fragments was also thrown in the air before gathering before him, along with the mud on the ground.

They then formed a massive construct made from the combination of solid rock and flexible clay.

This construct turned into a fat-looking draconic beast that blocked the incoming glacial dragon.

Roar!
