Child of Destiny

Chapter 2081: Generals and Dragons (Part 2)

...

Roar!

Aoki stood in the air while the colossal azure dragon coiled around him. He stared at his opponent for quite a while before mumbling.

”It is time to end this.”

Right after, another colossal figure manifested around him, taking the form of a divine general.

This divine general stood tall and mimicked Aokiʼs stance while the azure dragon coiled around it.

Roar!

A moment later, Aoki moved, which the divine general copied. He twirled his spear with one hand before switching his grip on it and holding it in a throwing posture.

When the colossal figure of the divine general held its spear, the equally huge azure dragon raged from its body before slightly shrinking its size and coiling around the spear.

Boom!

A moment later, Aoki threw the spear down while the divine general copied his action, also throwing his humongous spear straight to the ground.

Zoom!

The spears immediately merged when their paths coincided during their flight.

Roar!

Right at the same time, their merged form turned into a massive azure dragon that was filled with life.

Roar!

It dove from the sky and headed straight to Gunner, who suddenly sensed a series of strong restrictions cast upon his body, especially when he looked straight into the eyes of the azure dragon and heard its thunderous roar.

He felt that his entire being froze, especially when those azure eyes locked on him, seemingly staring straight into his soul.

This was just one of the series of soul-steering restrictions cast upon his body, which also happened to be the strongest of them all.

Gunner also felt that his mind seemed to be being split apart due to the strong mental attack that he just received alongside those invisible restrictions.

This combination of mental attacks was so deadly that it robbed him of all his movements. Even his thoughts were frozen, preventing him from thinking about anything else.

ʼSpear of the Divine General: Roar of the Heavenʼ

Roar!

ʼChaos Observer Skill (Combination Skill): Eye of Constellationsʼ

…

Due to the combination of these techniques, Gunner was unable to do anything to save himself from such a predicament aside from helplessly watching the colossal azure dragon devour him whole.

Roar!

BOOM!

He might be unwilling to accept such an outcome, especially when he believed that he still had a lot to offer. There were still a lot of abilities that he had yet to display throughout the battle.

However, he also had to admit that Aoki was not an easy opponent, especially when he could not find any good opportunity to use those skills and abilities, much less his ultimate trump cards.

A huge and deep pit was created in the middle of the battlefield, which the azure dragon had created when it fell.

That part of the battlefield seemed to have been erased, especially when nothing remained but a deep pit in that spot.

…

Swoosh!

When Gunner reappeared on the platform where the other members of the Black Market were, he immediately turned his head and looked at his earlier opponent.

It was at that moment that he saw that Aoki happened to be looking back at him.

Gunner might not be able to see the expression that the other party was making, but he could at least tell that Aoki currently had a haughty look on his face while looking down at him from such a high altitude.

”Hmph!” he turned his gaze, seemingly confident that he would still win the next time they fight.

…

In the meantime, Aoki returned to the platform assigned to the members of the Heavenly Resto-Bar, still maintaining his somewhat laidback demeanor.

It was acting as if the earlier battle was not a big deal.

However, from the other peopleʼs perspective, it might also be the case since everyone could tell that he had not taken that fight too seriously.

The final moments of that fight were the only instance where they could get a clear glimpse of his true strength.

They were still not sure about Gunner since he was almost constantly on the back foot during the entire battle. They were still unable to properly gauge his strength, especially when his opponent was a bit too powerful in that matchup.

…

Arthur, who was a fanatic when it came to anything related to dragons, would usually put such topics as a top priority. He would care more about information about these topics rather than anything else.

However, at this moment, he knew that there was something more important that needed to be done.

Instead of asking Aoki about his contracted elemental dragon, the Azure Dragon, Arthur swiftly rushed toward the battlefield, making sure that he would be the first to arrive before either of the opposition.

Ta-ta!

When he stood at the center of the battle, he realized that neither Boa nor the mysterious expert from the Dragon Pavilion made their move.

They seemed to have tacitly agreed not to take any immediate actions. They seemed to be waiting for either side to accept the challenge that the current Dragon God was giving them.

Dragon God Siegfried was the current number two Godlike Player listed in the official Godly Ranking List released by the Mystery Pavilion.

Fighting such a powerful opponent was something that every apex expert of the game wanted to experience, especially for someone like them, who came from powerhouse guilds.

The Hydra Guild was currently number one in the list, while the Dragon Pavilion was a long-time rival. It was natural for these two guilds to always clash against one another, especially on occasions like these.

However, at this moment, this legendary figure before them seemed to be challenging the top experts from these two guilds.

Both Boa and his counterpart from the Dragon Pavilion did not make their moves for quite a while, seemingly waiting for each other to respond.

Unfortunately, Boa was a bit more patient compared to his counterpart since he continued to calmy sat on his spot quite haughtily. The air surrounding him clearly indicated that he did not care about this round.

Seeing this, the expert from the Dragon Pavilion had no choice but to accept the challenge instead.

As a true soldier from the real world, there was nothing that could scare him. He would face all the challenges head-on that would be thrown at him without any hesitation.

Slowly standing up from his position and preparing himself for an intense battle, he immediately entered his extreme mode.

He knew that this battle would test his absolute limits, especially when the opponent was someone with a similar background in the real world.

It was not a secret that Dragon God Siegfried was someone from a military background and a martial arts family with ancient history.

The Dragon Pavilion had even invited him to join them before, along with an offer of being one of the main occupants of the dragon thrones, which was a special position within the guild equal to the Pavilion Master.

He might be young, but his potential was extremely immense. His in-game knowledge and experience were also quite huge despite his young age, which made everyone acknowledge him.

”Dragon God Siegfried, huh? I wonder if he is truly worthy of being on the same level of recognition as the Pavilion Master,” he mumbled while squinting his eyes and staring at Arthur.

Clank! Clank!

This time, he was not going to use the previous weapon that he had used earlier. Instead, he was planning to use his main weapon, which was a pair of battle hammers.

Bang!

Jumping off the platform, he immediately dashed straight to Arthur, who was already waiting for him at the center of the battlefield.

Swoosh!

During his flight, a massive dragon suddenly manifested behind him, rivaling the size of the Azure Dragon that Aoki had summoned earlier.

Roar!

Bang! Bang!

This dragon looked like an overgrown lizard with rocky scales that constantly emitted an earthy luster, despite the mysterious power that hid them.

Itʼs back also looked like a giant shell of a turtle, along with sharp spikes sticking out of their edges, while its thick tail had a hammer-shaped tip.

The pressure that this dragon released was somewhat weaker than the size of what the Azure Dragon possessed, but its overwhelming size somewhat offset that difference.

Regardless, it was clear that it was a bit weaker than the Azure Dragon but stronger than a regular Elemental Dragon.

Roar!

This elemental dragon engulfed his body while charging straight to his opponent.

…

In the meantime, Arthur did not have to guess which family the elemental dragon came from, given his deep knowledge about dragons within the game.

”A descendant of the Mountain Dragon Tribe!? This is going to be extremely interesting!” he mumbled after seeing the elemental dragon of the opposing side.

He was quite excited at first since it was his first time seeing a Mountain Dragon in action personally, since he started playing this game.

However, his expression was immediately filled with resentment after realizing something.

He had never met an earth-type elemental dragon since that time, making him unable to form a contract with one.

This time, he was not planning to hold back. He wanted to give his all, venting all his dissatisfaction to this opponent, who happened to gain what he could not.

”Ocean, Eira, Tempest! Letʼs show these what we got!”
