I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 735: Chapter 23: Unconventional Door God?

The dance at the corner flag by the two players officially announced that Real Madrid had taken control of the match.

After losing this goal, the Spanish team became a bit disorganized. Although they had one more player and the opponent’s goalkeeper was still Chen Zhong, several of their goal attempts were ”dangerously” saved by Chen Zhong, casting a shadow over their mindset.

”Real Madrid’s attack.”

”They are playing very calmly now.”

”Kaka with the ball!”

”It reaches Adebayor!”

”The little Magic Beast!”

”Attempt to shoot from the edge of the penalty area!”

Since joining Real Madrid, Adebayor has performed well. After receiving the ball at the edge of the penalty area, he instantly drew the attention of the Spanish players. Without holding the ball too long, he turned directly and made a powerful shot, attempting to score again.

However, the Spanish team’s goalkeeper, Cameni, used a standard side dive to block the ball away.

Adebayor advanced for a follow-up shot, but Cameni reacted quickly, and the shot’s path was very direct, going straight into his arms.

This scene moved many fans.

You don’t say, watching Chen Zhong’s unconventional, juggling-like saves and then seeing Cameni’s serious saves truly has its own flavor!

After grabbing the ball, Cameni didn’t pay attention to Adebayor’s regretful expression nearby. He quickly ran forward, making a powerful throwing gesture, and hurled the ball hard.

The ball drew an arc, heading toward the running Garcia, which prompted all the Spanish fans to stand up.

Unfortunately, their hopes were destined to be dashed because Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Chen Zhong, astonishingly wasn’t in the penalty area. Instead, he rushed out of the box and leapt high, heading the ball away.

This scene caught the attention of Neuer in Germany, who also likes to appear in places typically unbefitting for a goalkeeper during matches, just like Chen Zhong.

”The Spanish counterattack!”

”Chen Zhong’s decisive advance!”

”Heads the ball away outside the penalty area.”

”The goalkeeper appearing in such a position obviously surprised the Spanish players.”

As the match progressed to this point, the Spanish team was clearly becoming anxious. They even started attempting long-range shots from 30 yards away to score, while Real Madrid responded in kind. Cristiano Ronaldo also attempted a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, trying to breach the Spanish goal.

”Adebayor!”

”Receives the ball on the right side of the penalty area!”

”C. Ronaldo raises his hand for the ball.”

”Adebayor passes the ball!”

”C. Ronaldo tries a volley!”

”Unfortunately, it sailed over the crossbar.”

Cristiano Ronaldo felt a bit regretful. After that, he looked towards Chen Zhong at the backfield. When Chen Zhong wasn’t there, he nearly had unlimited shooting rights.

Besides, continuously gaining possession and continuously firing shots were really satisfying for the Portuguese.

Even the recent recruit Adebayor obediently passed the ball to him at his call, which was quite an enticing feeling.

Compared to Cristiano Ronaldo’s secret satisfaction, Adebayor seemed a bit unhappy. If he had known the Portuguese’s shot level was like that, he might have done it himself!

The match reached the 40th minute with Real Madrid continuing to try to score a second goal.

In the latter half of the first half, the Spanish team was almost suppressed by the one-player-down Real Madrid!

After Alonso received the ball, he passed it forward to the frontline Adebayor, as Cristiano Ronaldo called for the ball with his hand raised.

At this time, the Portuguese was right in an open area.

But this time, Adebayor glanced at Cristiano Ronaldo and chose not to pass the ball. Instead, he went for a fancy lob to try and break the goal.

This lob shot in the penalty area was quite imaginative and visually pleasing.

Yet, it struck the top of the crossbar and bounced out.

”?” Cristiano Ronaldo raised a questioning expression, his face flushed, pointing down to the ground, visibly displeased with Adebayor.

Adebayor glanced at Cristiano Ronaldo but didn’t respond at all.

Heh...

You couldn’t even hit the target range!

Look at me!

I was so close to scoring, just unlucky.

Kaka, observing the tension between the two, first ran to Cristiano Ronaldo, hugged him, and said some comforting words, then glanced at Adebayor and nodded.

After handling all this, Kaka started missing Chen Zhong a bit.

If Chen Zhong were present, none of this would have happened since he had the say.

”In stoppage time!”

”Alonso passes the ball.”

”Cristiano Ronaldo receives and breaks through!”

”Will he pass or?”

”Goes straight for a powerful shot!”

”Cameni makes the save again...”

”Adebayor seems quite dissatisfied, he’d already gotten into position.”

During the first half stoppage time, Alonso passed the ball, and Cristiano Ronaldo broke through to the edge of the left penalty area, concluding the attack with a powerful shot, while Adebayor in open space not far away just watched as Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot was barely saved by Cameni.

If only he had passed to me!

Adebayor thought, a bit irritated, looking at Cristiano Ronaldo.
