I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 728: Chapter 20: Four National Derbies???

”Four goals in one game!”

”He’s back!”

”That man is back again!”

”With four goals in a single game, when most people thought the new Ballon d’Or winner would be either Messi or Ronaldo, he told everyone with four goals that nothing is set in stone, everything is possible. He also helped Mourinho reach his first final with Real Madrid after becoming their coach, the final of the Spanish King’s Cup!”

The match ended, and in the second half, Sevilla crumbled under Real Madrid’s tidal wave of attacks, making those fans who thought the game would go to penalties shut their mouths obediently!

Besides that, the most talked about was Chen Zhong’s performance in this game.

”Chen Zhong guides the way for Real Madrid.” Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 4-0 to advance to the King’s Cup final, and Spain’s ”Marca” published such a headline after the match.

Chen Zhong stepped up when the team needed it, scoring with a brilliant free kick to give the team the lead, breaking the deadlock, and being the icebreaker for the team.

He not only proved his ability but also greatly eased the pressure on Mourinho.

In a fog, saying Chen Zhong showed the way for Real Madrid is no exaggeration.

People are all looking forward to the meeting between Real Madrid and the ”giant” Barcelona.

But before that, people must be concerned about whether they can pass the Sevilla hurdle.

It should be noted that in the first leg Real Madrid was held to a draw by Sevilla, which led to suspense until the second leg, until the 66th minute, when Chen Zhong stood in front of the ball. With Alonso and Cristiano Ronaldo assisting, he scored with a calm and resolute free kick, breaking Sevilla’s defense and changing the situation.

Before this, many fans believed that in Sevilla’s iron-clad defense, the team had a great chance of entering a penalty shootout.

After Real Madrid defeated Sevilla to advance to the King’s Cup final, the Madrid media praised saying, when players enter the penalty area, their heart rate usually accelerates, yet Chen Zhong remains in a frozen state in the penalty area, calmly running and confidently securing goals.

Chen Zhong scored the goal that led to the meeting with Barcelona, the King’s Cup final will be the final of finals, and the reason Real Madrid has the chance to face Barcelona is thanks to this man who can play for the team for 10, even 20 years.

Note: Chen Zhong entered the first team at the age of 16, even if he serves for 20 years, he would only be 36.

In the post-match press conference, both Mourinho and Mansano gave high praise to Chen Zhong.

”We have reached the final, the history of Real Madrid being eliminated in the earlier rounds of the knockout stages hasn’t played out again.” Mourinho also stated: ”Of course, some say that when Chen Zhong played for Real Madrid, the team already got rid of this fate, and even won the King’s Cup last season,”

”But I want to say, this is a great achievement for the new era of Real Madrid, and it’s my first time leading the team into a final.”

”We are not afraid of Barcelona, it’s just that having the final on April 20th feels a bit strange.”

”On the contrary, we look forward to both Barcelona and Real Madrid continuing to advance in the Champions Cup, Real Madrid is ready for any team’s challenge.”

”There are no favorites in the final, often it’s the teams with lower winning odds that win. Being in the final is better than not being there, we are truly the team deserving of the final, we’ve worked hard, and in the last 15 days, we’ve faced Sevilla and Atletico Madrid securing four victories, we’ve been thinking early about the King’s Cup final.”

”The King’s Cup matches are very important for us to gain knockout experience, the difficulties encountered are very positive for Real Madrid, which lacks the knockout stage experience.”

Regarding the match against Sevilla, and Chen Zhong’s performance, the Portuguese coach stated: ”It was crucial that Chen Zhong ensured we didn’t lose control of the match, his goal calmed our nerves, and Real Madrid played exceptional knockout stages, even though we encountered difficulties in the derby with Atletico Madrid due to our lack of knockout experience, this did not affect us.”

”Against Sevilla, we consistently attempted to score, and we had many opportunities, I even thought at one point we might go to penalties because Sevilla performed outstandingly.”

”But in the second half, he stood up, Chen stood up, faced with immense pressure, he stood before the ball, at that time I was wondering if he could score, if he could score? He did score, and he seized the opportunity.”

Mourinho also explained why he didn’t use some substitute players: ”We can’t expect young lads like Canales and Pedro León from small clubs to reach the highest level with just a click of a mouse.”

Finally, Mourinho revealed that next season he will use the young player Morata from the B team, ”From the first day next season, I want to have three forwards plus Morata, because they are all doing what we want to see them do, which is scoring goals.”

Sevilla’s coach Mansano also talked about Chen Zhong, expressing satisfaction with the team’s performance and the players’ performance, though he regretted the result.
