I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 712: Chapter 13: Rookie: Little Magic Beast

In the early morning of January 25th Beijing time, Real Madrid officially announced two major news items.

One is that the club and Chen Zhong have reached an agreement, and Chen Zhong will sign a new contract with the team to ensure his ”leadership” position within the team.

The other is that Manchester City forward Adebayor will join on loan, with Real Madrid having the option to purchase him after the loan period expires.

Adebayor will travel to Madrid for a medical examination this Wednesday (January 27th), though Real Madrid hasn’t disclosed details of the contract. Subsequently, Manchester City also issued an official statement confirming the imminent transfer of the young Magic Beast.

If time allows, the young Magic Beast will have the opportunity to play in Real Madrid’s match against Osasuna at the end of January.

The 26-year-old Adebayor began his professional career in his home country of Togo, and after being spotted by European scouts, he transferred to the Ligue 1 Metz youth team in 1999. Two years later, this talented forward officially joined the first team, and then Adebayor moved to the giant Monaco.

During the winter transfer window in 2006, Adebayor officially joined Arsenal and began his Premier League career, contributing 62 goals while playing for the Gunners over three and a half seasons.

He was also awarded the 2008 African Mr. Football due to his outstanding performance in the Premier League.

In July 2009, Adebayor transferred from Arsenal to the Premier League’s rising star Manchester City Team, with a transfer fee of £25 million. He became the sharpest arrowhead for the Celestial Blue Corps’ forward line, scoring 14 goals in his first season at Manchester City.

Currently, Adebayor has scored 19 goals in 36 appearances for Manchester City.

Due to Higuain’s four-month injury absence, Mourinho hopes to bolster the attack during the winter transfer market. Previously, the first choice was Van Nistelrooy, with mutual admiration between Mourinho and Van Nistelrooy expressed. However, Real Madrid’s offer was rejected by Hamburg.

Subsequently, Mourinho turned his attention to Adebayor.

A key advantage for Adebayor is that even if he transfers this season, he can still play in the Champions League.

And Manchester City, having just signed Negredo and Dzeko during the winter, has made the young Magic Beast’s position more dispensable.

Adebayor also understands that Tevez, Balotelli, Negredo, and Dzeko all rank ahead of him, making his fate at Manchester City uncertain. Thus, the three parties quickly reached an agreement, finalizing the transfer.

According to ”Marca,” the cost of Real Madrid’s loan for Adebayor is about 1.2 million Euros, with an additional payment of 200,000 Euros for the African’s weekly wages during the second half of the season.

Additionally, Real Madrid hopes to initially loan Adebayor and then buy him for a transfer fee of 15 million Euros in the summer. In less than two years, Adebayor’s value has dropped by nearly half.

Meanwhile, the events unfolding at the Pizjuan Stadium have also captured people’s attention.

Although most people believe Real Madrid will win this two-legged clash, Sevilla is clearly not going to surrender easily.

The battle drums at the Pizjuan Stadium are beating, and the Sevilla players and coach are issuing their challenge.

Besides filming a passionate video, Sevilla’s chairman Del Nido provocatively said, it would be best to have someone guard the referee’s dressing room to prevent Real Madrid from pressuring the referee.

It gives the impression that what’s about to occur is not a football match, but rather a cruel war!

However, fans shouldn’t be deceived into thinking otherwise; it will still be a football match taking place at the Pizjuan Stadium.

Yes, the stadium will be boiling, but it won’t be burnt by passion; ultimately, a football match is still a football match.

Sevilla’s loyal fans will cheer on their team from the stands.

Many people believe this match will be blood-pumping, with smoke rising from the grass on the Pizjuan Stadium, as Sevilla players have already declared in Portuguese their intention to stop Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo here, simultaneously, they’ve singled out Chen Zhong, saying they’ve found a way to restrain him.

Once the match begins, they naturally won’t show any friendly faces to the Real Madrid players.

However, Real Madrid will pour a cold shower over them, forcing them to face reality.

To avoid further controversy, Mourinho skipped the pre-match press conference.

This, in turn, drew criticism from Sevilla’s coach Mansano, claiming that it’s not the first time Mourinho skipped a press conference, indicating indeed there’s difficulty in communication between this Portuguese man and some Spanish coaches.

This season, Real Madrid has displayed dominance in all competitions, with many fans even discussing the matter of the Triple Crown.

They feel that if the team continues this momentum, achieving the Triple Crown is not an unattainable dream.

Sevilla also knows that to defeat Real Madrid in this match, they must perform at an unprecedented level, and whenever they face Real Madrid, they always fight to the death.

Sevilla players’ mouths are like cannons, their football like daggers, always posing a sizable threat on both flanks, and Casillas frequently encountering surprise attacks.

Real Madrid will face a major opponent on the flanks named Jesus Navas, a Sevilla player with a baby face, but who is a devil on the pitch. However, Alvaro will play the role of the ”Navas-opposer.”

As for who will be arranged on the other side, Sevilla coach Mansano is still uncertain, with Perotti or Romaric possibly positioned there.
