I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 499: Chapter 5: Who Is the Mole?

Mourinho has given Chen Zhong enough respect.

He would communicate with Chen Zhong to express his thoughts and requirements, and even jokingly said, ”Chen, you must ensure your mood and health are great; everyone knows your importance to this team.”

He also said similar things to Zlatan Ibrahimovic before, although at that time he spoke mainly to Ibrahimovic’s girlfriend, asking her to take care of Ibrahimovic’s emotions and health and keep him happy.

In the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, Real Madrid will face Sevilla away.

In this match, Mourinho allowed Spain’s national players like Casillas and Ramos to rest, and also gave Chen Zhong, who participated in all the warm-up matches, a short break.

Faced with Real Madrid’s underestimation, Sevilla exploded with incredible power at their home ground.

They defeated Real Madrid 2-0.

In this match, Real Madrid used seven Castilla players.

Players like Nacho, Morata, Vazquez all started, and Real Madrid paid the price for their underestimation.

At the post-match press conference, facing the cameras, Mourinho talked about the defeat in this match, pointed out the team’s problems, and then said, ”This is a great experience for the young players.”

”Yes, we conceded two goals, but that’s not a bad thing; at least we’ve found the issues.”

”We will claim our championship at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.”

...

Mourinho’s honesty did not affect the media’s criticism of Real Madrid; they all claimed inviting Mourinho was a mistake, saying that during Pellegrini’s time, Real Madrid’s offense was not like this at all.

These remarks almost took the breath away of Sevilla’s head coach Antonio Alvarez.

Last season, Sevilla’s performance wasn’t outstanding, and Alvarez’s coaching position was precarious. Even Alvarez himself didn’t know how long he would be able to coach in the new season.

They finally managed to win against the underestimating Real Madrid, yet before Alvarez could catch his breath!

The media seemed afraid he wasn’t failing fast enough.

In this first leg of the Super Cup, others might not know what happened, but didn’t he?

Looking at the betting odds outside, the coach with the highest likelihood to be dismissed this season was me, Alvarez!

This season, Sevilla actually invested as well, trying to bring in midfield organizers like Gagliardini and Guarente, attempting to revamp team tactics, and holding some hope for this former second-team coach.

However, this head coach, who always looked to the wings for high points, did not have an awakening during the match against Real Madrid, if it weren’t for the outstanding performance of Navas and Kanoute.

Plus Real Madrid’s underestimation, everyone knows what the final result would be.

While the outside world was boasting about Sevilla, boasting about Alvarez, claiming they could win the Super Cup with a two-goal lead.

Alvarez only felt his life was walking on thin ice.

In the lonely nights, Alvarez often lamented and sighed, perhaps seeing more clearly than many: ”The club doesn’t support me, and the fans won’t applaud me; there’s so much work I can’t complete even if there were 25 hours.”

”The world of football always lacks patience and rushes for quick success.”

”I know I’m a mediocre coach, yet still can’t bear to give it all up.”

Before Alvarez, there was a predecessor named Jimenez; they were all suitable to be youth training coaches, doing quite well when leading the youth training teams.

Sometimes Alvarez really wishes he could continue hanging around in the youth team.

There are young lads with infinite possibilities there, allowing him to enjoy the football he loves.

...

Sports City

Only two days remain until the second leg of the Super Cup.

Mourinho gathered all the players on the training field for one last time and announced the team’s starting lineup.

And you could feel Real Madrid’s determination through the lineup.

For the center forward position, the team chose No. 9 Alvaro Negredo, one of Real Madrid’s two No. 9 products in recent years; Soldado is already shining at a new club, while Negredo, in a sense, fulfilled his initial dream of wearing the No. 9 jersey and becoming a mainstay for Real Madrid.

Behind Negredo lined up Cristiano Ronaldo, Chen Zhong, and Kaka.

In the previous match, the player in this position, Big Eyes, was benched; not only did he fail to show good passing skills to help the team achieve final victory, but he also caused a ”dispute” due to his negative emotions.

Even Mourinho had a row with Big Eyes on the sidelines.

The German star who signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid couldn’t help but throw an unfriendly gesture back at Mourinho when hearing Mourinho rambling from the sidelines.

During the halftime break, when Mourinho accused Big Eyes of not giving his all on the field, Big Eyes was already heated up.

”Do you think making two beautiful passes during a match is enough? Or do you believe you are exceptionally good, so giving only 50% effort is sufficient?”
