I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 496: Chapter 3: Transfer: Sweet Poison 2

Finally, boosting the wings with a nimble genius like Angel Di Maria evidently increases the threat on Real Madrid’s flanks.

Mourinho never had any intention to shake or provoke Chen Zhong. There’s no need to gratuitously make someone an enemy, especially when they’re beneficial to himself.

Even if he wanted to bring in Big-Eyed Ozil, it was because he was unaware of Ozil’s comments. It was merely a suitable evaluation and objective, not aimed at targeting Chen Zhong.

Meanwhile, Big-Eyed Ozil learned from his agent about his impending move to Real Madrid.

was a tumultuous year, Spain won the World Cup for the first time, and the star-studded La Liga gradually became recognized as the top league.

And this year, many young talents started to emerge.

Big-Eyed Ozil was one such young talent, youthful and ambitious, ignorant with an explosive temper. The moment he knew he would join Real Madrid, Ozil felt a surge of grand ambition in his heart.

If earlier, Real Madrid still had a reputation of not being friendly towards young players, but since Casillas, Chen Zhong, and other young players have firmly established themselves in Real Madrid’s first team, that reputation has decreased significantly. Many people now hold dreams of making their mark at Real Madrid.

Upon receiving the agent’s notification, Ozil immediately threw a party with friends.

At the party, Ozil’s face was full of anticipation for the future. He happily spoke to friends, ”I will definitely become a big star!”

Although some friends were concerned about his prospects.

But Ozil cared little; he even arrogantly said, ”I know he’s Chinese, but so what? I won’t be worse than him; I just need an opportunity!”

The transfer market in 2010 was tumultuous, and the news of Ozil joining Real Madrid was not very noticeable.

Barcelona, having endured a season of ”growing pains,” finally had Guardiola figure out what he needed.

He didn’t need a tall center forward but someone agile like Huluwa Villa; Barcelona actively worked on the transfer of Spain’s main striker, Villa.

Adding Argentine midfielder Mascherano, in Guardiola’s opinion, made his squad near perfect.

In the club’s high-level meeting, facing the executives, Guardiola confidently stated that last season’s problems were completely solved. Once his recruitment plan was complete, Barcelona would reach its peak!

Their team would be invincible.

Manchester City, after losing Pellegrini, did not ”despair,” instead began to satisfy the requirements of famous manager Mancini through large-scale recruiting.

Firstly, bringing David Silva from Valencia to the Premier League, Mancini believed this player would become Manchester City’s ”new core.”

Manchester City also updated their goals for the new season, aiming to step into the title contention group.

Shedding the label of upstart and transitioning to a top-tier club.

And after Manchester City’s ”rise,” those players who couldn’t join Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Bayern Munich, the cosmic teams of that time.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City would become their primary choices.

Manchester City’s blueprint this season was grand; besides Silva, their plans also included stars like Balotelli, Yaya Toure, and Little Boateng.

If they could complete these transfers, their roster’s luxury might surpass Manchester United, causing Ferguson, who once called Manchester City ”noisy neighbors,” to frown and start drawing up new plans.

Then, there was Milan.

After losing Chen Zhong, Kaka, and Pirlo, although Milan acquired Guti and Raul, it still couldn’t relive its past glories.

The club obviously realized this problem. In the new season, they intended to bring in Ibrahimovic from Barcelona, and their recruitment plans also included players like Robinho and Big Boateng.

As an old-time glorious Serie A powerhouse still doing fairly well, Milan captured a lot of fans’ attention.

Despite Ibrahimovic’s struggles in Barcelona, he remained popular, having once been Serie A’s headline player.

And unlike other stars who became ”washed up” elsewhere.

Ibrahimovic’s performance at Barcelona was not inferior, giving Milan fans high expectations for him.

Then continued the team’s tradition of utilizing famous past-their-prime Brazilian players like Robinho.

All this kept the public’s excitement and anticipation for this Milan team high.

Other notable transfers included Chelsea bringing in David Luiz and Ramirez.

Bayern Munich acquiring Gustavo.

Juventus signing Bonucci.

But these transfers did not drastically affect the general team hierarchy.

Real Madrid’s transfer policy this season was mainly led by Mourinho, and regarding outgoing players, Baptista went to Malaga. Pellegrini personally selected this ”Beast.”

The Engineer promised the Beast he would receive similar treatment to Chen Zhong at Malaga, igniting passion within the Beast.

Other players, temporarily, had no transfer needs.

No, it wasn’t that there weren’t...

...

Night at the Sports City.

Chen Zhong’s door was knocked.

When he opened the door, there stood Kaka and Pirlo outside.

”Oh~” Chen Zhong exclaimed. At that moment, he was shirtless, drying his wet hair, his perfect physique and abs so prominent: ”Just showered. You came to see me at this hour, it really surprised me.”

Chen Zhong and C. Ronaldo were famously the two training buffs at the club.

Don’t have dinner with C. Ronaldo.

Don’t engage in nightlife with Chen Zhong.

This was everyone’s consensus.

Everyone knew what C. Ronaldo would eat, and everyone knew what Chen Zhong would do at night.

After some pleasantries, discussing the old days at Milan, Pirlo brought up the main topic. He looked at Chen Zhong and said, ”I want to return to Italy.”

”Return to Italy?” Chen Zhong looked at Pirlo, inquiring, ”Milan?”

”No, not Milan, it’s Juventus.”

”They’ve already contacted my agent.”

”I think it’s a decent choice.” Pirlo’s expression was calm. Last season he didn’t have much playtime at Real Madrid, refraining from stirring trouble entirely because of Chen Zhong’s ”face” and Kaka’s mediation. This season, he didn’t want to waste time anymore.

Real Madrid was going to recruit Ozil, and Granero and Parejo could partially substitute him.

Leaving was a good choice.

”It’s a good choice.” Chen Zhong glanced at Pirlo, then turned to Kaka and asked, ”What about you? You don’t also want to return to Italy, do you?”

”No.” Kaka looked at Chen Zhong and smiled calmly, ”I’m just here with him, and...”

”Maybe we can train together in the evenings?”

Train together?

Chen Zhong appraised Kaka. After having surgery and resting for three months last month, Kaka’s ”little ailments” seemed to have left him.

According to Kaka’s recent expressions, he felt like the shackles on him were being lifted.

If before he was trekking burdened.

Now, he felt unprecedentedly light and carefree.

A Kaka, free of injury, poised to peak, was a terrifying existence...

After seeing the two off, Chen Zhong lay down on his bed and then quietly uttered ”panel” in his mind, starting to scan through his own data.
