I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 478: Chapter 89: I’m Very Hungry_3

But the hope isn’t great.

After all, Real Madrid was defeated 5-1 in the first leg.

This means that Real Madrid needs to score 4 goals without conceding any, to eliminate the opponent with the advantage of away goals.

But is that possible?

Referencing this season’s matches between Real Madrid and strong teams, like Barcelona.

Real Madrid’s goal-scoring efficiency doesn’t seem very high, and their core is quite clear.

A famous coach like Van Gaal won’t be unprepared.

”Chen!”

”Look here Chen!”

”Oh, God! You finally came over!”

The enthusiastic calls from journalists and the outstretched arms made Chen Zhong stop, and the moment he stopped, the Real Madrid fans in the distance waved their arms, calling out Chen Zhong’s name.

”Chen!”

”We’re going to make a comeback, right!”

”Go, Madrid! Go, Madrid!”

...

Chen Zhong first waved to the fans, greeted them, and then looked around at the journalists on the sidelines. The first journalist was from Spain, which was evident from his first words as he asked, ”Chen, will you lead the team back to the Bernabeu?”

The Champions League final venue is at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, and it’s a pun, meaning will Chen Zhong lead Real Madrid to the final at the Bernabeu and lift the Champions League trophy.

”That’s what we all hope for.”

The Spanish reporter was squeezed away, and a German reporter spoke up, ”Are you confident of helping the team make a comeback in this match?”

Chen Zhong observed the German reporter’s expression, which was very serious and seemed poised to argue no matter what Chen Zhong said.

In response, Chen Zhong just smiled and said meaningfully, ”I’m very hungry.”

Then he took the opportunity to leave the crowd.

On the field, an assist can be referred to as ”making a cake,” and scoring a goal is ”eating the cake.”

Of course, if the cake is not eaten, it’s ”spitting out the cake,” and one could jokingly say the cake didn’t taste good or was too full to eat anymore.

Chen Zhong’s ”I’m very hungry” means he really wants to score goals right now.

Pre-match activities ended one by one, and in the players’ tunnel, Robben eagerly awaited Chen Zhong’s appearance. Upon seeing Chen Zhong, he tiptoed and waved his arms with such joy, as if he had become several years younger.

Seeing the beaming Robben, Chen Zhong’s heart softened a bit.

However, upon getting closer, he overheard Robben happily say to Ribery, ”This is Chen, I was once celebrating riding on his shoulders, and the media described our relationship using me and my ride. We have a great relationship.”

Chen Zhong’s smile slowly faded from his face.

Old man, you’re digging your own grave.

Robben winked at Ribery. Before the match, Ribery was always a bit worried because Chen Zhong had gained some ”notoriety.”

Robben understood his concerns, and said that he and Chen are good friends, and introduced them, assuring that on the field, Chen would tread lightly for his sake.

Ribery believed him.

So Ribery came over.

Smiling at Chen Zhong, he said, ”Chen, nice to meet you.”

”Robben and I are partners, I’ve always heard about you.”

”I really envy your friendship. If possible, I’d love to have a photo like Robben’s with you.”

Ribery: Hehe, now that the relationship is closer, you won’t tackle me, right?

Chen Zhong: What? You also want to ride on my shoulders?
