I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 490: Chapter 96: Season’s End (Part 2)

Ribery paid for her trip to Munich for the first leg of the semifinals, and then the young woman had sexual relations with Ribery, Benzema, and Gewu.

Among them, only Gewu can rest easy without any risk of imprisonment, after all, it was his first time engaging with this young woman, and he was shocked when she asked for money.

At that time, the young woman had already turned 18, and in France, such actions were not illegal, as long as it did not involve anyone under 18.

However, during an interview, the young woman accidentally revealed a critical piece of information.

That Benzema, who transferred to Real Madrid during the summer window, had relations with her when she was 16, and this could potentially result in a 3-year prison sentence for Benzema.

Moreover, Ribery seemed to be a regular customer, implying that he might have also engaged with her before she turned 18...

Florentino had just finished a meeting and sat back in his chair. At the meeting table, the first thing he said was, ”If every player were like Chen Zhong, that would be great.”

Real Madrid already had some rough plans for the summer transfer window.

With more goals being scored by wingers in the football arena, the importance of the flanks has gradually increased.

Real Madrid currently lacks reliable players on the flanks, forcing them to push Marcelo’s position forward.

Ribery’s contract with Bayern Munich is now in its ”contract year,” and his performance on the field also pleased Real Madrid.

So, the club is contemplating the possibility of bringing in Ribery.

But now, this news almost announces the zero possibility of Ribery joining.

Because Florentino is someone who places great importance on player image, and this is also a significant reason why he promoted Chen Zhong.

Chen Zhong is handsome, tall, possesses leadership qualities, is highly disciplined, and holds his ground when facing media. All of this aligns with the aura of Real Madrid.

But now.

If the French side decides to press charges against Ribery, it’s likely Benzema will be charged as well.

However, a twist soon emerged, as Zashia expressed her shock after learning that the players might face three years in prison.

She stated that all of them, whether Ribery, Benzema, or Gewu, treated her with great respect, ”They should not be disturbed.”

It is reported that Ribery once paid Zashia 2000 Euros for her services.

The reason this incident came to light is that Zashia was caught in a recent police operation. She confessed to the police about her transactions with Benzema, Ribery, and Gewu, each time for 2000 Euros.

This incident has caused some internal impact at Real Madrid, especially for Benzema.

This season, his performance at the club has been somewhat lackluster, and coupled with such negative news, it’s not impossible for Benzema to be put on the transfer market.

For now, time takes a temporary pause.

After bidding farewell to the Champions League, Real Madrid fans shifted their focus to the league and the King’s Cup.

In the league, Real Madrid did not give Barcelona any chance, securing the league title three rounds in advance. In the final round against Malaga, Chen Zhong also completed a hat trick.

This was Chen Zhong’s fourth hat trick in the league this season.

At the same time, Chen Zhong reached an astonishing 48 goals in the league, breaking the league’s goal record, setting a new record for the most goals in a single La Liga season, and all this as a midfielder.

Although Real Madrid was eliminated from the Champions League, with 11 goals, Chen Zhong still secured the top spot on the Champions League scoring chart.

For the King’s Cup, there’s no need to say more. Chen Zhong’s 16 goals were unrivaled, and although some people still say that Chen Zhong racked up too many goals against weaker teams, the data speaks for itself.

Eventually, under Pellegrini’s leadership, Real Madrid successfully claimed a double crown.

They beat Sevilla by one goal in the King’s Cup final, smiling to the last.

During the 2009-10 season, Chen Zhong represented Real Madrid in 58 official matches, scoring 75 goals, shocking the football world. He won the La Liga Golden Boot with 48 goals, the European Golden Shoe, and became the top scorer in the Champions League with 11 goals, and the top scorer in the King’s Cup with 16 goals.

Helping Real Madrid win the Spanish League title and the Spanish King’s Cup.

He personally won multiple awards, including La Liga Season’s Best Player, La Liga Season’s Best Midfielder, La Liga Best XI, League’s Best Rookie, and FIFPro Best Young Player, among others.

As long as in the new season, the 10-11 season, Chen Zhong’s performance doesn’t drop significantly, he very likely will be included in the UEFA Team of the Year and the FIFA Team of the Year.

Meanwhile, in Asia, it’s already a foregone conclusion that Chen Zhong will sweep various regional awards.

However, what people mostly focus on is the issue of the Ballon d’Or in the new season.

Recently, there have been ongoing rumors about Ballon d’Or reform.

According to internal reports, FIFA and ”French Football” are negotiating the transfer of the hosting rights for the Ballon d’Or selection from 2010 to 2015 to FIFA.

If this happens, the FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon d’Or will be merged, renamed the ”FIFA Ballon d’Or”.

After the merger, the selection rules will undergo significant changes.

The evaluation period will follow the French Football Ballon d’Or criteria; the voters will now consist of media journalists, national team coaches, and team captains, each accounting for 33.33%.

The number of countries eligible to vote will increase from 96 to all 208 FIFA member countries.

The voting system will change from a five-vote system of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points to a three-vote system of 5, 3, 1 points.

Historically, the French Football Ballon d’Or has placed more emphasis on the player’s honors, while FIFA’s World Player of the Year has focused more on the player’s individual performance.

After the merger, both the player’s team honors and personal performance will evidently be important.

Under these changes, many people are curious about the shortlist for the Ballon d’Or of the new year and find the abundance of talent in recent football years astonishing.

Many names have been discussed, like Sneijder, who has won the ”Triple Crown” with Inter Milan on the Champions League stage, and Xavi and Iniesta, who have been outstanding at Barcelona, along with Messi who represented Barcelona in 53 official matches this season, scoring 47 goals.

This newly crowned Ballon d’Or winner secured the La Liga Silver Boot with 34 goals, became the Champions League Silver Boot with 8 goals, and finally won the European Silver Shoe.

Indications for the 2010 Ballon d’Or are already emerging.

Many believe this year the Ballon d’Or will be awarded to a midfielder, and in this setting, naturally, Chen Zhong has become a focus of attention.

Especially after the World Cup, when Messi represented Argentina and did not score, and Argentina suffered a heavy defeat.

While Xavi and Iniesta helped their team win the World Cup, Barcelona ended up empty-handed in all competitions, and their personal statistics were not as impressive compared to Chen Zhong, who is also a midfielder.

Many people reckon that the Ballon d’Or for the new season will be between Chen Zhong and Sneijder.

Chen Zhong’s advantage lies in his outstanding personal statistics and young age, and the goal statistics are still significant, whether before or after the revision.

Some judges might put more emphasis on the World Cup, or maybe they consider both the World Cup and club achievements.

However, there is also a section of fans who insist that the new season’s Ballon d’Or will surely be between Xavi and Iniesta.

Because to this day, there hasn’t been a situation where members of a World Cup-winning team fail to win the Ballon d’Or.

And Barcelona has two World Cup-winning members.

They might find themselves in a dilemma over this.

But Real Madrid won’t.

After the World Cup ended, Florentino keenly sensed the opportunity and decisively gave an order: ”In the new season, everyone at the club must wholeheartedly support Chen to win the Ballon d’Or!”
