I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 479: Chapter 90: Reenactment! Iconic Moment!

”CCTV, CCTV.”

”We are now live broadcasting the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.”

”Real Madrid at home against Bayern Munich.”

”The players in white jerseys are from Real Madrid, and those in red and white jerseys are from Bayern Munich.”

”We can see the players from both teams entering the field in an orderly manner.”

”Bayern Munich is aiming to win both the domestic league and cup, and before the match, Van Gaal confidently stated that their goal this season is to achieve the Triple Crown.”

”Real Madrid is also performing well on all fronts; in the league, they are just two wins away from clinching the title early, and in the King’s Cup, they only need to defeat Sevilla again to win the cup.”

”If they can manage to turn the tables on Bayern Munich in this match! Then against Inter Milan, they might even have a chance to become the Triple Crown winners.”

”Of course, the premise still depends on this match, whether they can reverse the first-leg 5-1 victory of Bayern Munich.”

From the TV, you can clearly hear Real Madrid fans on the stands singing ”Hala Madrid” amidst an epic melody, one can also see fans holding banners of support and portraits of Chen Zhong.

From this, you can feel the position Chen Zhong holds in the hearts of Real Madrid fans. Many fans even showed their jerseys with the number ten when the camera passed by.

After the heavy loss to Bayern Munich, many Real Madrid players firmly believed they lost only because Chen Zhong was absent. If it wasn’t for the foolish Pellegrini not letting Chen Zhong start or even be on the roster, they would not have suffered such a defeat.

This is not without basis; after all, since the first season Chen Zhong played for Real Madrid, they had hardly lost a match he participated in.

As the players of both teams walked out from the tunnel, Real Madrid fans created a feverish atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. When each player’s name was announced over the PA, they were met with great enthusiasm.

After the match started, Bayern Munich aggressively pressured Real Madrid when not in possession. Even when Real Madrid had the ball, it was hard to advance and penetrate.

When Chen Zhong got the ball in the center, he didn’t rush to pass it forward, because Robben and Ribery on the sides were ready to pounce, and Bayern Munich’s counter-attack has always been sharp and lethal.

”Chen Zhong passes the ball to Marcelo on the flank.”

”Marcelo is being pressed by Bayern Munich.”

”Returns to Chen Zhong, then transfers it to Ramos.”

”Whenever players on both wings have the ball, they are besieged by two to three players.”

”Fortunately, they have a safe outlet in the center.”

Pellegrini glanced at Van Gaal. Based on the situation from the start, Van Gaal’s research on Real Madrid was quite thorough. He hoped to suppress Real Madrid’s defense in a deeper position through such high pressure.

Marcelo and Ramos’s assists were also a relatively reliable connection channel between Real Madrid’s three lines.

In the game against Barcelona, Real Madrid showcased their ”ball control gene,” but now, Van Gaal’s message was clear: if you want ball control attack, then go ahead and do it!

After all, we have a four-goal lead!

This scene left Pellegrini somewhat at a loss. Before the match, many thought Bayern Munich might play more conservatively, but the reality was entirely opposite to the ”guess.”

His only hope now was Chen Zhong.

In this match, he had great expectations for Chen Zhong and his demands were unprecedented.

To put it simply, he hoped Chen Zhong could cover from their own penalty box to the opponent’s penalty area, which would be extremely taxing on Chen Zhong’s stamina.

”Bayern Munich has undergone tremendous changes this season.”

”The Magath-Hitzfeld-Klinsmann era of Bayern Munich was shaky.”

”They did not have an overwhelming advantage in domestic competitions.”

”Because their attack lacked pattern, their defensive system was loose, and the team had limited competitiveness in European competitions.”

”However, after Van Gaal took over, marked by the 4-1 comeback against Juventus in the group stage, Van Gaal’s transformation of Bayern Munich began to take effect.”

”Their early-season 442 was replaced by a 4231 system, with a ball control midfield and wide play gradually taking shape.”

”This tactical framework exceeded many people’s expectations.”

”All the way to the Champions League semi-finals.”

”They even have one foot in the final already.”

Real Madrid was still being limited in the midfield, and some fans even began to frown, anxiously fretting for Chen Zhong. They were muttering, transforming into ”Know-it-alls.”

[Can’t he just make a long pass directly?]

[Dribble forward! What good is it to pass back and forth like this?]

[Is this the world’s best midfielder as hyped? It must be exaggerated!]

...

The back-and-forth passing tugged at Bayern Munich’s formation, and Chen Zhong observed some patterns.

The right side, where Robben and Lam were, seemed a bit ”out of sync.”

When Marcelo passed the ball over again, Chen Zhong looked towards Cristiano Ronaldo, and at this moment, the Portuguese was already raring to go.
